I am having terrible luck attracting the goldleaf... I've been sitting in here for a whole day... How long did it take you all to get yours?

Simultaneously attempting to catch the Goldleaf... has anyone caught it with Gnarled?
I have been watching the forums for this and haven't seen a single confirmed catch with Gnarled. I've seen Brie, SB+, and Cherry Cheese of all things.
How long did it take you all to get yours?
Three to four hours? Not too terribly long. That was with Brie Cheese.
I finally got a mouse to drop a relic.

LOL, congrats Dot!! Now you can go after a Relic Hunter. And for anyone that doesn't know, the nifty Timers Spreadsheet lists on the bottom where the Relic Hunter is currently and where he will move to next.
For those wondering. A total of 7,741 King's Gauntlet moose have been trapped since I started the run. That is over 51% of all the moose trapped in my time playing MooseHunt at 15,138. The most difficult aspect of the Gauntlet? Patience. I have bucketloads of that.

*thinks Cep is going to go into MH shock after he finishes the Tower.* You're not going to know what to do with yourself. Of course by then, event season will be around the corner, so maybe you can start there.
forgot to ask if anyone on my team or anyone who wants to join my team is available for a tourney... and where would you prefer it?
There's a three hour indigenous tourney later on today.
My team has just not been doing many tournies lately at all. In fact, in the past week I've just stopped posting them altogether cause everyone is so busy and/or working hard on their maps and there just haven't been any tournies at good times. For example, the one Astro posted is 2am to 5am my time. Too bad too cause I think it's pretty easy to place right now.
However, I'm HOPING to get a group going for a four hour Muridae Market tourny tomorrow. I've got three and a back-up fourth, but I'm hoping we can find a solid fourth person who will be around for the whole thing. Crossing fingers, I miss tournies.
Moving on to the subject of treasure hunt maps.... We are STUCK on the Living Salt Mouse on our map.
He's the only one left that we need, and he's being extra elusive. Course he is...
The funny thing is that as awesome as my last Iceburg run was, I'm making up for it this time around with the worst run I've ever had (this does include all of the hunts I went on to snag Drheller for wolf's map). 647ft - #180 I was at Icewing's Lair last run. At the rate I'm going, all three chests should be smashed in no time and I'll snag the Living Salt Mouse that way.
But I sure hope we catch him long before then.
In other personal MHing news, I passed 10,000,000 gold today. Hoarding that and SB+ for the Living Garden.
I switched to brie before I went to bed last night and I've had it armed since... I'm hoping to get it soon because I want to get back to treasure hunting/tourneys/task.
I signed up for the 5 player Indigenous tourney that's running for 8 hrs tomorrow... anyone is welcome to join in (we need the help too lol)

I would, but I think I'll stick to Zugzwang's Tower/Seasonal Garden for now. I'm working on a library assignment, our current map, and catching a Chess Master all at once.
And for anyone that doesn't know, the nifty Timers Spreadsheet lists on the bottom where the Relic Hunter is currently and where he will move to next.
Did not know that. Good thing I have the Timer page bookmarked.
What's the best bait/set-up to catch a Relic Hunter? I have two relics.
I also got the LE Gauntlet trap from Wolfy's last map.
Right now, I'm trying to catch my first Sensei. My last try didn't work so well. I'm hoping for better luck this time around.

I got a Goldleaf finally!
Next on my list are the Chrono, Fall Familiar, and the Garga, but most of those are going to wait til after we finish this map.
Also I'm up to 52 SB+ That had better be enough to get me at least one Fall Familiar 0.0 That mouse has also given me issues
Still looking for tourney recruits We have 2 spots open in the tourney and 3 on the team as of right now... I plan on doing another tourney after this one... Which one will be based off of what we have left on our map and how hard it is. (Our team currently consists of 2 Masters, 1 Hero, and myself (Baroness).) Though I also want to try out my new Guantlet trap at some point
So if you want in on the team just send me a message/pm.

FBF.....
~The Living Garden is no longer going to be released before Halloween because if they do that, it'll come out too soon to Halloween, so it's been pushed back until just afterwards. So shastastwin, Lady Arwen, and wolfloversk, you have more time to get your key.
~They confirmed the Gold Leaf Mouse IS NOT attracted to Gnarled.
~The Relic Hunter's wandering may truly be random someday. He's scheduled cause they have more important things to program right now.
~Who's working on what? Dan is crunching numbers and making sure all the mathematical stuff is correct (gold? points? drop rate? catch rate? I assume stuff like that). Jacob, Mike, and one other guy whose name I didn't catch figured they have about 340 hours minimum of drawings to do. Giorgio is working on something secret, and we'll find out what very soon. Next week he'll start planning/scheduling Halloween stuff and general programming of Living Garden.
~Hint on Giorgio's project. It has to do with something Jacob re-drew recently. *cough*Leprechaun*cough* That will be out very soon.
~FB has reallowed apps to send messages to users, so MH devs are testing that and you may start seeing notifications soon. They made it clear that we'll have the ability to turn on and off settings on what we want to be notified for and what we don't. They promise they won't spam us.
~They confirmed that FB's changes that EtJ brought up a few weeks ago will in fact affect MHG.com. So it may be that FB's MH is the only way we'll be able to play and MHG.com will go away. They don't know a lot right now and they'll let us know more as they find out about it.
~In regards to the above news, people were asking about various FB payment options as a while ago, FB removed all payment options on any of their apps except for FB credits. Apparently they are removing FB credits at some point, but nobody knows for sure when. Again, as the devs hear about it, they'll pass it on to us.
~Jacob's drawing something next week. He's not saying what yet, but it will probably be spoilerish.
.... and that's the end of FBF for today.
In my own personal news, still no sign of the Living Salt Mouse for 36?48? hours. I'm continuing to do well (read: horrible) on my horrible run so if all three chests get smashed, I'll definitely get the Living Salt that way.
I'm at 230 hunts, only 205 more to go.
Taking a break after the next hunt to do a tournament in the Muridae Market. Should be interesting.
We have to catch a Pygmy Wrangler 0.0 ah well we're so far along now might as well give it a shot...
After the tourney I'm going to head into Balack's Cove, and knock off the mice there... then... not sure what yet, but it will be map or tourney related.
Yay for Living Garden delay, yay for Leprechaun, boo for FB changes I hope we can still use mhgame.com cuz it is much more reliable for me.

I'll admit I'm relieved the Living Garden is being delayed. I've only looted 8 Papyrus with 43 Artisan Charms, and I'm completely out of Limestone, which means I need 30 Limestone plus whatever it will take to buy the Artisan Charms necessary to loot the remaining 17 Papyrus.
I'm camped out in the GGT overnight, hoping to snag a Goldleaf, and then we have a Gauntlet Tiers 1-4 tourney tomorrow. Time to test out the Ancient Gauntlet.
Also, I have a couple of maps in my inventory if anyone is interested in starting one, though I'll admit I won't be seriously pursuing a map completion for the foreseeable future.

fk, I have a question that you could possibly answer: is the treasure map thing for a limited time or permanent? I can't seem to find the answer, though I really haven't looked that hard.
I just started on my own map, Paul and I are working on it and we'll get it done probably pretty quickly.
I'm just hanging out until the holiday stuff starts. I'm 69% toward Baroness!

Yep, not happy about that At. All. If it wasn't for Mousehunt, I probably would have ditched FB a long time ago. Amazing how addictive this game is.

I didn't look, did you get him?

The only thing that's not permanent is the Ancient Gauntlet trap. I don't know how long they'll leave it in the game, I'm guessing for another month or so, but that's an LE trap and will only be around for a short while longer. The rest is permanent.
Still no Living Salt this morning. Have moved to the Gauntlet for the tourny today, I may try to aim for Tier 4 here after a while cause those mice are worth the most points it looks like, but I'm in Tier 2 for now cause I have lots of that cheese.
How is the Ancient Trap working for those of you in the Gauntlet?
Thanks fk! I guess it was the limited edition trap that was confusing me.
We're down to 5 mice!
Love God, love people
I caught a Goldleaf!!!!!
Also, our team finished in the top 25% in our Gauntlet tourney. The Ancient Gauntlet was nice because instead of getting 1 potion when I got a drop (which wasn't as often as I remembered if being), I got 2. Very helpful to have more potions that early in the Gauntlet. I do wish the trap was useful beyond Tier 1, though.
I'm helping DiGs, ramagut, and ceppault on a map now. We have the Nibbler, Nomad, Bear, and Ninja mice left. Here's hoping we grab a Nibbler overnight.
Edit: And there's another Goldleaf! Since cep caught the Bear, we just have the three N-mice left.

Well, the Gauntlet will be useful because it means I have to catch approximately half as many Tier 1 mice as I normally would need to. Since I plan on collecting 500 Tier 2 potions (although I may collect 100, convert, use, repeat, just to mix things up), that will help out immensely.
Since Cep ended up getting Gold crowns on most of his Tier 1 mice going for about 500 potions, I figure that means I only have to catch maybe 250 of each mice.
Anyway, it cuts the time I'll be spending in Tier 1 in half, so that's nice.
Just got in a Tribal Isles tourney that lasts THREE DAYS...oy, it should be fun. At least I have a lot of locations I can bounce around in.
Sitting in the JoD after the Pygmy Wrangler... was wondering if anyone who can catch the blacksmith switch with somebody on our map currently and then switch back once they've caught it...
After this map I might take a break from maps for a while and either do a guanlet tourney, work on the market, or go back and catch more of the mice I'm missing.
