This'll be the third one I've completed if I can get this one done. I may go ahead and go after the M400 after this one. Not sure yet.
No DiGs, though I'm sure it will start today or tomorrow.
Gymmie, congrats on your M400!
Well, I'm doing my MH pout this morning. After using approximately 23 pieces of Lunaria (give or take a piece) I did not catch a single Shattered Carmine. That was actually quite outside the range of probability according to my calculations. No Ultimate Charm for me. It will have to wait for some unknown future date as I won't be able to amass the resources again before the birthday event and then the third YotN release.
Out of options, I went to the Lab and armed my three pieces of Fondue along with the Rift, SMB, and ULCs. My bad luck with the Shattered Carmine was countered and I did catch the M400 on the second piece of cheese.
So I suppose I shouldn't complain too much, but man, that was a lot of LG materials burned through with nothing to show for it.
Birthday event has started. I've moved over there. You do need cupcake colby for this one.
Am I doing something wrong? I've got gouda armed without a charm, and am having a horrible attraction rate and haven't gotten a single potion to drop

Try other cheeses. I've seen Brie and SuperBrie+ stated as having good attraction and drop rates. Party Charms also help with the drops, apparently.
I'd really like it if they let the Force Fighter mice drop more than useless action figures. Edit: It seems the devs have heard my complaints all the way from NWeb.

Yeah, got a potion to drop using party charms (well, two actually). Just having bad luck to start out this event.
Oh well. . .
I'm really hoping that Ronza comes at the end of this event

I'm noticing that I get Party Supplies about 1/4 hunts with Cupcake Colby, with the amount ranging between 1 and 10, plus 2 for the Party Charms. If this holds true, I'm going to need a few wagons of CC potions. They seem to drop readily enough with Brie and Party Charms, but I've not had that many chances to try it; I've brewed and armed CC whenever I get a potion, and I started out with 10 potions left from a few years back.
I'm ambivalent towards the fort-building aspect like we had with the GWH for all the same reasons I was with the GWH version: it adds fun to the event and there are great bonuses, but (even more so with the Bday event) it makes me feel as though I have to be constantly hunting in order to have a chance of completing the thing. I hope that the potions/supplies start becoming more readily available or that potions are gifts of the day at some point. It's going to be a long haul even if they do. Just getting through one Conga line is going to take time. Getting through all 6 necessary to get the new trap, base and all 4 skins is going to take a while, maybe the whole event.

Yeah, I'm kind of having mixed feelings on this event myself. Mostly, I'm not a big fan of the copy and paste from the GWH. It's kind of a let-down for a birthday event imho, especially since last years' party was so awesome. But hey! It's their birthday so they should party like they want to. On the other hand, I was getting the giggles yesterday reading through some of the descriptions.
The Super FighterBot MegaSupreme may be a colossal menace under normal circumstances, but its huge size and uncoordinated moves don't do it any favours on the dance floor!
So in my personal experience, SB definitely has the best return rate on potions. I haven't had a lot of luck with brie and/or gouda. But I did start out with a lot cheese and charms, which was nice.
I got the dance floor built quickly, started the conga line (two mice in), and am saving for the next upgrade. I'm trying to decide if I want the Chaperone Table or the Buffet Table first. I'm leaning towards the latter as the Terrible Two mice are kind of rare. I don't think I'd get a lot of bonus charms off of them, though the charms are more beneficial overall.
I'll be glad when event season is over, even Easter, my favorite. I'm in new content mode and the events are distracting and getting in the way.
Not much of a fan of the format either. I like the twist, but it takes awhile to get through. I had a handful of cupcake and charms, but now I'm back to alternating farming potions and using cupcake.
I'm having a horrid time. I haven't caught the green fighter mouse, and am thus stuck at the start of this event. . . . can't get potions to drop, can't get party supplies. . . . just stuck.

I'm stuck too. I am almost out of Party Charms. And without those, I never get drops. I hear the only way to get Party Charms is to catch a Terrible Two's mouse (and gifting, but even then, you can only get 10 per day). But I barely have any Nanny Charms either, and the Terrible Twos just isn't showing up.

So I had 35 Nanny Charms. Started burning through them with absolutely zero results. I looked on the forums and I don't know if it's a bug or not, but this year neither the charms nor the old Nanny trap seem to make one bit of difference in attracting a Terrible Twos mouse. So I ditched the Nanny charms and switched back to Party Charms.
I'd like to give a shout-out to Ithil who caught the Terrible Twos mouse for me this morning.
I'm now on the Party Head mouse which shouldn't be too bad, and then I have two more after that until El Flamenco.
I have a stupid question. Do any of you know which trap(s) those skins go with? Are they all for the new trap? Or do they go with other traps in the game? Maybe it's obviously posted somewhere, but I can't find it and I don't usually get skins for traps I never use.
The new skins are all for the new trap. Basically, you've got lots of different dance options for the new trap to use. I plan to attempt buying all of them.
It seems the devs have listened to the cries of many tormented hunters about the inordinate amount of Force Fighter Figures in their inventories. You can now buy Party Charms for 5 of each color FFF.

I've made a good deal of progress with all of the prizes that Larry keeps giving out.
Really hoping for a Ronzian visit soon. . . I want a Sphynx Wrath upgrade from her, or maybe a better Law trap. It would be really nice if I had enough money afterwards to buy my Rift Base (which means spending less than about 9 million). I've got almost 17 million right now.

So after hearing FBF this morning, I've pretty well come to the conclusion that the design of the birthday party was simplified due to their time and energy being put into permanent content that has been and will be released. I'm sure most people saw on FB that the birthday party isn't over yet. There's more to come next week (Ronza perhaps????) and then shortly after that will be more permanent content.
A few other things mentioned this morning.
~The birthday party will last about 2 more weeks.
~The new trap and skins are NOT LE and will be available at future parties.
~Toxic Spills are something they plan to have happen about once a month. They do control when they happen so it doesn't occur right on top of another event. It's mostly something to do during down time.
~And then of course they posted tons of spoiler pics that I linked on FB. Here it is again in case you missed it.
Meanwhile, on a personal note. We finished up a treasure map real fast this morning so I am now available for birthday maps. Yay... And I have the Chaperone Table, Dance Leaderboard, and Buffet Table built. Going for the Donkey Tail next. I'm also on mouse #6 on my way to my second El Flamenco.
