No. They said that Runny is equivalent to Gouda. It won't work in areas that require specialty cheeses like the Cats. The same way Brie and Gouda don't work there.
Well I caught my Deep Mouse. For being so very difficult, I didn't have much of a problem with him (surprise, surprise. . . good thing he wasn't a SB only mouse ).
After I nabbed him, I went over to eh warpath and tried to nab a garga. Only got 1 streak of seven yesterday, and it didn't end in a garga . Cleared out all of my warriors and scouts in wave 1. I'll head back there later.
Now I'm in the library trying to nab an Aether. Catching one will round out my library mice.

After being told that a friend was using Runny in the iceburg with rather impressive results, I switched over as I was just starting another run. I too am having some rather impressive results. I'm at hunt 39 and at 360 ft. I don't think I've ever been this far along without using a drill charge at this point. I still don't have the diamond drill. Not sure if I have to have that before catching the deep mouse. We'll see.
I am however getting a major kick out of watching my cheese totals. As long as the Runny is dropping, I'm catching enough loot drops to balance out the amount of cheese I'm using. So my cheese totals are staying roughly even. lol. Though with the Olympics over, I expect the current event will end shortly.
^^ Yeah, I think it ends today.
Right now I'm going to finish up silvering the Lucky mouse (just one or two more left) and then I think I'll head back to TI for the rest of Luck weekend to capitalize on the increased loot possibility.
I finally caught my garga!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nabbed him in wave 2 on a streak of 8. That rounds out my Marching Flame members!
Now I'm set up in the windmill going after two more SB only mice that I've yet to get: the Farmhand and the Tiny. If I nab both of them before the end of the day, then I'll go after a Nibbler as well.

The Crown Collector is not SB+ but you need roughly 80 silver crowns to get a decent shot at attracting it, is what I was told.
Unless you're Lady Arwen and snag one with 5 gold crowns and 50ish silver crowns. Never seen anyone snag one with that few crowns before but having more crowns definitely helps.
I still don't have my Dumpling Chef yet but I didn't spend much time with SB+ in the right areas.
The Dumpling Chef occasionally makes an appearance at the Chinese New Years event. He was introduced there in 2010, didn't show up in 2011, but was there again this year.
I'm spending some time in the Market trying to rebuild the Charm Shoppe, because I want better charms.
Have you built the General Store yet?
Well I caught my Deep Mouse. For being so very difficult, I didn't have much of a problem with him
Yeah, his difficulty is just getting to him. If you can do that, he's not so bad. I caught him on my fourth try.
Though with the Olympics over, I expect the current event will end shortly.
Yep, both that and the Lucky weekend event are all done.
I finally caught my garga!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Woohoo!!! Congrats
*continues to sit around twiddling thumbs, waiting for the next area release*
Yes, FK. I have the General Store built.
In the 'Berg for a tourney. I'll not likely get the best chest on this run, since I had started off a while back and it wasn't the best start. I can't try for the Deep Mouse for a few more runs anyway. I have to farm a lot of BCF to craft the base.

Got my farmhand! Now I'm just waiting in the Windmill for the Tiny Mouse. Then I'll try for the Nibbler. When Spring comes in the garden, I'll head over there and try to get my Spring Familiar. At some point I need to nab Drheller too.

Cool, I can't ever remember who has what built, but I think at the moment you're my only friend on MH working on anything. Though Lady Arwen is gonna get there in pretty short order as well.
Got my farmhand!
Woot! Another mouse checked off the list. Now you never did get your Tiny Mouse correct? I'm thinking not. I remember having a world of trouble getting the Silvertail Mouse if I'm remembering right. Took me several days and gobs of SB+ to snag him.
My team and I are currently doing a short Derr tourny this morning. We'll definitely make top 25%, but I'm hoping with a little luck we'll snag the top 10%.
With school starting up, I think everyone's schedules are becoming busy and my team's tournaments will be scaled back quite a bit. Haven't been doing as many lately, but that's ok. I'm sure people are getting tired of them.
I got my Silth! *does happy dance* I guess I was expecting it to give me a lot of trouble considering the kind of luck I have with certain mice, lol. But I was able to get it in less than 20 pieces of cheese. Woot woot!
So now I'm back in Elub, trying to nab a Chieftan with the rest of my Shell, and then I guess I'll collect some seashells to make some more cheese.
Since I'm in a waiting period where I am waiting for points, I thought I might go after some missing mice. Just so I can keep it all orderly in my head, here's a list, lol. I'm only including mice of areas that I can access and have hunted in; for instance I'm missing tons of Gauntlet mice but I haven't tried for those so they don't count.
Dumpling Chef - Waiting on this since I heard that one is attracted to regular cheese during the Chinese New Year event.
Shelder - I might throw some Gouda at it and see if he takes the bait. He's gonna take a lot of cheese so I might as well start on it.
Nugget - Might wait to only go after this in Sub tournies since Limelight is still a bit expensive.
Pebble, Tiny, Magic, Silvertail, Nibbler - All SB+. Gonna do it at some point and I have decent traps now, so I might try for those. Do those ever show up as non-SB+ mice during events?
Other than those mice, all the other ones aren't available for me to catch at the moment. I'm not doing all that bad, all things considered!
Right now I'm just sitting in the Shoreline til I level... then off to the Warpath

Well, I headed to the Mountain today and got my Fog, Silvertail and Pebble mice all in very short order. Then I moved to the Town of Gnawnia, and I'm catching lots of Speedy mice and even a Master Burglar, but no Nibbler or Magic, lol! I've still got almost 40 pieces of SB+ that I'm definitely letting myself use, so we're still good.
After that, I guess it's off to the Windmill to try for a Tiny. Not expecting that to come easy.

Well you had missed several of them before you finally went in on this run. But major congrats That's a nice one to have checked off the list.

Sweet! But why the Shoreline? You level so slowly there. *figures you're collecting crafting materials*

I think the majority of those Indigenous SB+ only mice (except for the Black Widow and Nibbler) have a pretty even attraction rate. Some you're just luckier than others getting quickly. For example, I seem to remember getting the Tiny Mouse right away, maybe even the first one I got. But it took me FOREVER to get one of the ones in the Mountain, I forget which. So it's just luck of the draw.
Just hanging out waiting for FBF to start this morning. I guess Michele is still on Vacation so I'm anticipating this FBF to be very short and uninformative (she's usually the one who puts together questions for the devs).
Anyways, I shall update this post if they say anything interesting.
*figures you're collecting crafting materials*
Precisely I might move to the Iceberg... depends on what I can accomplish within 2%
There's SB only mice in the Warpath, are there not? I'll have to save for them too.

No, there are no SB+ only mice in the Warpath, but there is one in the Muridae Market.
I think with Michele still on vacation and Jacob gone as well, the other devs forgot entirely about FBF. The chatroom is trying to spam them with messages but so far it's not working (It's quite hilarious ). Here pretty soon I'm going to have to stop waiting and head off to get some things done.
ETA: There's Dan!! Apparently it's technical and miscommunication issues.
MAJOR SPOILERS TODAY... was not expecting that, but not complaining either.
~New stuff coming out soonish. They're working on it right now.
~Jacob doing an art session on Tuesday @ 11am EDT. He's drawing a very rare LE item coming up in the game. (Read: Spoilers of the new content.) I won't be here so someone else will have to fill in on this one.
~The new content is NOT the Living Garden. oooOOOOoooohhhh
~The new content is something you can "Pick up and do". Not like you go there, do a couple runs and then you're done. (Sounds kind of like Library Assignments.)
~After the new content is out, they'll be working on the Living Garden full time.
~They're working on a King's Gauntlet tourny, sorta. New content first.
~Another hint on the new content, it probably won't allow for tournaments. But there will be tournaments with the Living Garden.
~The rest of the tournament updates will be on hold until likely after the Living Garden comes out.
~There was concern that all of the new stuff is going to run into event season (Halloween event is like, 8 weeks away?). They confirmed that was true, but the plan to just expand upon the same Halloween event as last year so they won't spend too much time on it and continue to program the new content. They should easily be able to get stuff out before Christmas. But because of this, the Living Garden will likely be the last permanent content of the year.
