In other news, I feel like I've made some good progress on my mini-goals of completing all the traps, bases, skins and collectables in the game. I've only got one trap missing (Rune Shark Trap; stupid Sand Dollars are so annoying to farm) and I *had* all the bases until the new area came out. 😀 I've got two collectables to go and maybe 30 trap skins? Maybe I'll have them all in a few years lol!
I guess some of those trap skins are ones that I have promised to send you, but haven't got around to sending yet. It may take me some weeks still to find the spare time for keeping my promise

Been a hot minute since I've been in here.
I have yet to finish everything in the Bountiful Beanstalk, and thus am thankful that this area does not look like it will take a year to complete. . . I just entered yesterday for the first time, as we had been working on a M1000 map since the end of the Easter event (oy vey that was a headache. . . )
I figured I'd potter around in this area for a minute or two to see what it's like before opening that M1000 solo map and doing that.
The base and the codices together will definitely help me finish the bountiful beanstalk, primarily because I do not have the golden quill upgrade in the table of contents, and that forgotten boost along with the better base will allow me to get enough mythweavers to get that upgrade, which then in turn doubles the amount of loot I get when using upgrades in the beanstalk. Regardless, I will definitely finish that area sometime this year. But I do need several hundred thousand more eggs. Who knows. . . maybe Ronza will help if she visits sometime soon. We should be due for a Ronzian visit sometime in the near future.

I'm currently in a very boring holding pattern, which is fine because real life has become SO busy that I just don't have much time to pay attention to my hunting. I'm just hanging out in the Folklore Forest, farming Condensed Creativity. If I get an invite onto one of the maps (and I'm paying close enough attention to accept) I move on over there and participate there for a bit. 🙂 But otherwise I am completely done with the School of Sorcery. Nice, fun, short area. 🙂
How's Ronza hunting going for everyone?
I'm up to 53 ice grubs and got my Chrome Dragon Slayer trap this morning.
Painfully slow. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm only up to 28 ice grubs and 79 chrome bits.
I hope you've had a better time the last couple weeks Kat. The good news is that the other mice drop their items far more rapidly to minimize the grind. 😉
I got my map piece and then saw in the news that I can collect an additional 100 of each type of grub, so I'm doing that now. 🙂
I finally maxed out everything. I'm working on getting more grubs as well. I keep having more trouble with the first grub than the others.
Today I caught all the rest of the mice in the Draconic Depths. I had a decent first run catching the final dragon mice, though I wouldn't say great. It was good enough to buy both of the dragon tomes though, so there's that. I like the art work here I might add. Except for the poison mice, they're gross. LOL
Well I have finally managed to fall into a rhythm for the Draconic Depths. Took me a while. I realized that if I just burn all of my loot instead of keeping it, and then use almost all of the Dragon Embers to reinforce the next cave I go in, I exponentially increase all of the cheese and things I get. Although it hurt my soul the other day to burn up an Ultimate Charm and some Dragon Eyes that dropped, but oh well. My massive stockpile of Condensed Creativity is used up as well. I'll need to buy more of that before the next big run.
I've been through the deepest tunnel to catch the Elemental Dragons a couple times now, though I haven't had any Mythical Dragon Hearts drop yet. I've noticed that the longer I stay in the other three tunnels, the better loot drops I get so I'm thinking I may need to go in with more than 30-50 cheese (I run out of embers before I run out of cheese) and then MAYBE I'll get some good loot at the end. I was a little dismayed on my last run to see that the Baitkeeper Charms only have a 50% success rating here. What's up with that?
Had a good Halloween run collecting potions, though admittedly I'm not using potions where I'm located that often. Maybe I should pay more attention when I'm on the treasure maps to make use of those so I'm not just grinding out high level cheese and charms otherwise.
Also noticed entirely by accident that there's a new Regal Codex in the King's Cart, so I've been using Regal Charms to farm pages to buy the Codex. Currently at 81/100 pages. Almost there.
Loving the giant maps event! Happy to have had enough supplies to open a Origin of Dragons map before the end!
The Great Winter Hunt is around the corner!
Sad news - one of the devs passed away this week.
Franco D'Auria passed on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at the age of 40.
I remember him popping in occasionally in Dave's Feedback Friday - he always was so much fun. And he did a great job with developing MouseHunt since the beginning of the game.
He will be sorely missed.
R.I.P., Franco.
