I am departing this lair.
It was a great disappointment to me. I thought it would be about seeing and sharing all the latest spoilers. But it was something else.
Goodbye.
There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.
"...when a willing victim who had committed no treachery was killed in a traitor's stead, the Table would crack and Death itself would start working backwards."
coracle, perhaps thoust should investigate ze pilgrims thread. There is much more discussion of spoilers, and much less of attacking ze monestary. I quite enjoyeth it meself, personally.

coracle: I plead thee, why does thout leave us? was it perhaps the vile tasting coffee? no matter, we have thrown that out. was it the evil laughter? fear not, we are not evil but happy and are prone to random acts of mirth.
please, please, I pray thee, return to us!

Continue attacking the Monastery if you must, fellow minions, but I myself will not participate. Not only do I have far too much nasty homework, I also think that the greatest attack on them is the one they have brought upon themselves. Poor things, they're going to attend the Great Viewing entirely unprepared for what they will see.........
I do not like Michael Apted's quote at all.
Ditto. But, either Apted did not make himself clear or whoever wrote it was also unclear. Keeping in mind that it was only a preview of an article perhaps it is not as bad as we think.
I had a realization recently: I am not a purist. *waits for everyone to recover from the shock* I know I sound like a purist sometimes, but I'm really not. When I watch a book-to-movie adaptation I expect to see a movie that is either as good as the book or even better. Examples: I like Pollyanna the book, but in some ways I think the Disney version is better simply because even though it is not the same it is still a good story. I am not a big fan of the Narnia movies because so far they just haven't been great stories. They've been good, but nowhere near the standard of the books. While Pollyanna is different, it is still a story that is basically on the same level as the book in terms of good plot, characters, etc. Does that make sense?
That being said, even if I wasn't spoiled rotten, I would still be walking into the theater predisposed to not like the movie because I did not like the first two.
Anyway, what does everyone think of the new trailer? I thought it wasn't as good of a trailer, but it is shorter so that's probably why. And I thought the voice-over at the end was an............interesting choice.
Well, I'm here to say that I am taking my leave of here after all. Not only is war not my cup of tea , I'm disturbed enough about VDT that I really don't know how many more spoilers I want to read on the movie. If it is a bad adaptation, I am prepared for it and have found out all I want to know about it beforehand ; whereas if it is a good adaptation, I wouldn't mind being pleasantly surprised at a few points.
And so, I am now making my exit. I'll be traveling in the Middle Way. To everyone else here, enjoy the spoiler hunting!
the spoilers doth cheer my soul!
I am quite happy to see the new posters and I love each and every one!
the newest trailer is by far the best we have seen yet!

Excuse me while I step in. I seemed to have misplaced my tinder-box, and thought I might have dropped it when I brought Kermit, and Pappa Smurf back from walkies.
Guess while I'm here I can finally take a look at this library I was told about. Now which of the TV screens was it behind
Oh great and evil lord Booky! Our minions are leaving us! Is now the time to panic, or do we still have confidence enough to continue chortling in satisfaction?
I say we avenge our losses against the monastary and middle way. They should not be allowed such treacheries. Treachery is our job!
We should flood them with spoilers. Even fake spoilers just to scare them for our own amusement, haha! That is, if such things are allowed on the respectable boards of NarniaWeb...
The Apted quote scares me very much. Now, I can only hope that our beloved story is safe in his hands...

OOOORRROOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Ha! EJ, dost thou truly believe that thou can attack ze middle way with spoilers? Ha I bid ye luck, for we are already ridden with spoilers, there's not much that thoust can do about that. And why attack ze Monestary when most of the members thou hast lost joined my companions in the Middle Way? I do believe we hath won this battle, before it hath even begun.
*EDIT: In fact I'd even say that ze Middle Way containeth more spoilers than this forboding place. Ah ze irony... /EDIT*
(*howls in triumph*)
AHOOOOORRRROOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah, found it! (Holding up tinder-box) Someone must have kicked it under the table.
Imust agree EJ. It is getting rather empty in here. Perhaps the food is a little stale? The middle way is having barbecue right now. Nothing like it over the open fire. Though I might burn more than my fair share I wouldn't wonder.
dearest Puddleglum: not to worry! I have brought a turkey and stuffing and mashed potatoes! we shall have a feat this very night!

Behold! I return! I was engaging in some serious negotiations with the electricity company over the weekend. They were fussing about the Eastern seaboard having brownouts and I told them "If I want to have the international trailer playing on 500 TVs at all hours of the day and night, that's my business." And things got rather nasty after that, but then we agreed that the would let me build a couple of nuclear power plants in the valley behind the tower and I wouldn't open a dimensional portal to let the Zerg into their headquarters. So I think it all went splendidly.
Oh, the mutant thingies are looking nice and healthy. Must remember to leave that marshwiggle fellow a deathtrap to bring home and play with. He seems to like that sort of thing.
Alas that some of my beloved minions have abandoned us. Sadly, not all are capable of living the Spoiled Rotten life. For some, the constant rush of spoilers is just too much for their frail forms and they must retire to less enlightened areas of the world. It is sad, but we shall not mourn them. Unless they didn't return their ultra-fashionable dark minion uniform before leaving. If they kept it, I'm afraid I'll have to send my pack of anthropomorphisized sabretooth tigers after them.
Welcome back, Bookwyrm! May the spoilers come to you for ever more...
Has anyone heard any of the songs the new composer has made, or is that a spoiler too spoilery to yet release? I can't wait to hear what the VDT music sounds like...
In the meantime, are there any more of those turkey-legs left, Libby? One of the mutant dogs ate mine...

Ahh, now I understand GtG's location. I was wondering what LoESRM meant. I come to join you. For I findth that I cannot live without spoilers. Alas, for PC I did not take the spoilers I saw seriously and thus was overwhelmed by the changes. I pledge to read and view as many spoilers as I can. However, I cannot commit to buying the CD before the movie is released. Alas, my resources do not allow me the liberty of buying CDs, especially ones that I have not heard the music on. I hope this transgression will not result in my removal from The League of Extraordinarily Spoiled Rotten Masterminds.
We have pizzas as big as your house and so much more.
When I sawth this, I thought "Oh no the White Witch" I hopeth this sign of the degree of my spoiler viewing will count in my favor. It seemth now that when ever I think of temptation the abominable green mist comes to mind.
I have another transgression to confess. I haven't read all the pages of this thread. I have only read the first one. I do intend to fix this transgression as soon as time allows. My desire to become one of ye was so great that I didn't take the time to read all the posts.
