I think the entire fight sequence seems a bit cheesy, though it might now be like that in the movie. I do love the idea of having a duel between Reep and Eustace as long as it is done right
Joy of joys! There is nothing like 4 brand new clips with the words *MAJOR SPOILERS* attached to them! What do my fellow evil spoilerians think of them?
"Oh telescope, keep an eye on my only hope,
Lest I blink and be swept off the narrow road.
Hercules, you've got nothing to say to me,
'Cause you're not the blinding light that I need.
For He is the saving grace of the Galaxies."
The word 'awesomeness' comes to mind....
Indeed these are a wonderful sight, though unfortunately little is spoiled for me as I have already been informed of the presence of such things.
Now that my fine gibberish is done, with your leave I will speak normally for the moment.
I think the End of the World clip is as good as they could possibly make it
The bedroom clip is really good to, I like it better than if they had just fallen through the picture.
The DI clip is a bit cheesy but not horrible.
The "Belief" clip is pretty good but I don't like how Lucy doesn't know that Aslan has a country.
The last one is nothing spectacular, but it does show a bit of Gael dialogue, which I was wanting to see.
And I am now a JUNKIE!!!!
*Comes rushing into the Lair, practically exploding with excitement*
Wow!!! New clips!
I love the End of the World scene with Aslan and Lucy, that looks brilliant. We've been told that the "I have another name" line was in there, but up till now I was worried they wouldn't use the equally important line: "For that is why you were brought to Narnia: that by knowing me a little here, you may know me better there." That sums up the whole point of the Chronicles as a whole, and I am SO glad they put it in word for word! Woohoo! Feeling way better about the movie just from that clip alone.
The other clips were great as well. I would echo aragorn2's sentiments about the 'belief' clip: i don't like that Lucy doubts Aslan's Country is a real place. Questioning whether one can actually sail there is one thing, and from the book, but questioning whether it exists? Doesn't seem like Lucy to me.
"Of course we've got to find him (if we can). That's the nuisance of it. It means a search party and endless trouble. Bother Eustace." ~ Caspian, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
Sig: lover of narnia
WAAHHHOOOOOO!!!!!
I looovvvveeedd the clips, especially the Aslan and the Reep one Coriakin's lines were odd, but the map was so cool! and Eustace was spot on in that and the transition! Also I think I shall like Gael
"The mountains are calling and I must go, and I will work on while I can, studying incessantly." -John Muir
"Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed." -Richard Adams, Watership Down
those clips were epic!!!!! love it all! it's amazing!
aragorn2: I see what you are saying, but I look at it as a re-wording of what Lucy says in the book: "Do you think it's the sort of place that you could sail too?"
just my two cents.
Turkish Delight for everyone!

Spoilers ahoy, Doug Gresham will be one of the slave buyers in Narrow Haven
which is what I suggested on the thread for his cameo in the movie!!!!
Keep your eyes peeled for him when you go see it
PS, Aslan's Country is where I got the news
The release of those five clips confirmed the fact that I am, indeed, Spoiled Rotten. I could not keep my mouse from clicking the links even if you paid me.
My thoughts - OH. MY. GOODNESS. They were... amazing. Everything I've been hoping for and more. I'm thinking in particular about the "There I have another name" clip. That was so beautiful, and everything I hoped it would be. I'm a bit skeptical of some of the others; such as Coriakin's scene, but it doesn't bother me too much. And I love Reepicheep's line! I've always thought it needed a tune. I think it's perfect.
Ahh, Fireflower of the Mountain, even I can tell thee that not all of the members of the League of Extraordinarily Spoiled Rotten Masterminds art so violently inclined. Only a few *certain* members. Thou can remain peace-loving and still be a minion, methinks, so do not feel torn in thy heart.
My dear Dryad of the Rose-Tree - thank you for your reassurance. I shall continue to be a reformed lurker & peaceful minion who merely loves being spoiled rotten. I am surprised that you continue to frequent our lair and have absolutely no clue how you manage to stay spoiler-free in the presence of the Extraordinarily Spoiled Rotten Masterminds, but I have great respect for you. Please visit often; I at least will welcome you with open arms.
Ditto what the Dryad of the Rose Tree said. You can most certainly be a peace-loving minion and still be a member of the League. You and I (and others who are of like mind) shall not seek out war against the Monastery, but instead merely seek out all-that-is-spoilerish and partake of the 10,000 dish buffet when our minds grow weary from analyzing the spoilers that we have seen. I don't want to go war either, but I am indeed spoiled rotten and see no reason to repent of my ways.
Ah, yes. I nearly forgot the 10,000 dish buffet. *picks up a bowl of ice cream* This place is so comfortable that I do not see it necessary to go to war, especially since the Monks and Pilgrims are very respectable people. They do not attack us, so why should we attack them? We have chosen our way; let us continue on it without any distractions. Dot, you and I shall be peace-loving minions content with our ice cream and spoilers, shall we not?
*looks around the room, seeing several new faces* Welcome, everyone to the Lair. Take in the spoilers, and be happy. I am glad you are here.

Welcome to our League, new minions! I am most pleased to see our numbers grow.
I saw the sixth TV spot before coming to school, but have yet to see the seventh. I did see the four clips, though. My verdict is I need to see them in context before I make any decision on whether I like them or not.
It is normal for the typical girl Lucy's age to be concerned with looks... so it would be fine if Lucy was the typical girl her age... but I never considered Lucy to be the typical-teenage-girl type.
*drops in on the conversation* Perhaps you never saw her as a typical teenager because in the books she is not a teenager? She is at most 11 in VDT. Pre-teens struggle too, yes, but I'm not liking this whole Lucy-is-going-through-teenage-girl-stuff-thing because she's not supposed to be a teenager. And I don't like how she wants to be Susan. Other than the fact that that is not how it is in the book, I have never known a girl who wanted to be her older sister. Be like her or be better than her yes, but not actually be her.
Dot, you and I shall be peace-loving minions content with our ice cream and spoilers, shall we not?
Yes indeedy! Spoilers, ice cream, and fellow minions to discuss said spoilers with sounds like the perfect way to spends these few weeks leading up to the Great Viewing. When I'm not doing homework that is.

I very heartily agree.
Alas, I have not seen the spoilers. I am so busy that I have not had time to look at them. I enjoy reading everyone's views on them though.

Ah, yes, there is no better way to spend these weeks, I am convinced. Oh, glorious homework... that's another way to pass the time till the Viewing. At least you are not completely bored waiting for it to get here.

Oh, narnian, they are spoilers like no other. My thoughts simply cannot do them justice.

Though it be but 16 days until the Great Viewing, I now posses the wish to join the Dark and Evil LoESRM. For I cannot resist the partaking of spoilers, nor do I wish too, for spoilers be the keeper of my sanity until the time of the Great Viewing.
welcome to the Spoiled Rotten domain Brisa! glad to have you here!
are we out of food again?

'Tis never too late to join! Welcome, welcome! What are your thoughts on the latest five clips?

How could we run out of food on the 10,000 dish buffet? We must have a lot of hungry minions.
I must say I cannot partake in the turkey, however tempting it may be, until Thanksgiving. Then I shall indulge myself along with thousands of Americans across the nation.
