I hate to disagree with everyone, but I was very happy that Canada got the gold in the Women's snowboarder cross. I wasn't expecting it just because I didn't think we'd actually get it, so when I found out we did I was really excited. I am sorry that Jacobellis didn't get any medal though, that must have been disappointing, I guess.
Dear days of old, with the faces in the firelight,
Kind folks of old, you come again no more.

I'm a huge fan of the Olympics and the Winter is my favorite so I'm especially excited! Last night I couldn't wait to watch Evan Lysacek skate. I first saw him in the 2006 Olympics and was rooting for him ever since he did badly in his short program. He has definitely improved since then and I'm so pleased in finish second in the short program this year. If only he can beat Plushenko and win GOLD! It's going to be really tough though but they are both amazing skaters.
I don't like Jonney Weir. Maybe he's a good skater but I don't believe he's the best and his attitude totally turns me off. Lysacek is much more humble and down to earth.
But I love watching everyone skate and I'm looking forward to tomorrow's long programs.
Sasha Cohen was a favorite skater of mine as well. Her skating is truly gorgeous but she didn't make it to the Olympics this year. Rather disappointing.
As far as Snowboard cross goes, I was naturally disappointed that Jacobellis failed to qualify for the final round. I feel bad that her fall in the 2006 Olympics will continue to haunt her now.
Tonight Apollo Anton Ohno skates!!!!!
Avatar and siggy by lover of narnia!
Woot, Justyna Kowalczyk second in ladies' sprint! Congratulations!!! She deserved a medal truly, and for her great efforts and work I'm happy she got it The last competition was not favorable for her, the route was almost perfectly flat, while her strongest point is running uphill, as I think we all saw in eliminations for finale just moments ago, where she finished first.
As per skaters, I very much like Shizuka Arakawa, too bad she finished her career after Torino. And I must catch up with the ladies competing in Olympics, cause I shamefully have no idea who is in I never was a big fan of Sasha Cohen for some reason, though she seems most popular. I remember Carolina Kostner's performance in Warsaw Euro Champs and I remember being impressed. An earned gold, I think. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the ladies' figure skating, my favorite winter discipline!

Australia has 1 silver medel, thats alright for a country where it doesn't even snow.
Man, Shaun White and his 48.4... it just doesn't get any better than that.
I couldn't help but wonder if he'd gotten a perfect 50 if he'd landed perfectly on that last insane jump. But boy was he fun to watch. That's the first I've ever watched snowboard halfpipe. That was cool! (No pun intended)
Men's skating tonight. I'm definitely cheering for Evan Lysacek and Daisuke Takahashi (3rd) and I'm also hoping Stephane Lambiel (5th) does well also. Those were my three favorites from the other night.
Man! I didn't watch the Snowboard halfpipe. Shaun White is one of my favorites- I completely forgot that he was boarding last night!

That was SO awesome! I'm really glad he won!

I'm cheering for Plushenko, Takahashi, and Brezina. Though I'm American, I didn't really like the Americans' skating this time around. Johnny Weir was just. . . well, I didn't care for his costume and all that. He's a good skater though and has great technique. I guess I don't like his style. *shrugs* I didn't really like Lysacek all that much either. But if he wins, I will be happy for him.
More speed skating!!! Yay! I was glad that Shani Davis and Mo Tae Bum won medals in the 1000 m! And Korea placed into the finals for short track relay!!!!! It looks so complicated, but it's so awesome!!!!!!
That was awesome that Lindsay Vonn won gold despite her hurt shin! I hope she does well in her next event!

Haha, I wondered that too. I was literally on the edge of my seat when he came down from that last jump because it looked like he was going to fall. I loved when they compared his height to the other boarders (like had their images both up in the same place), and he was like 2 yards above them
So excited for the skating tonight.
I'm going to be 100% honest here... call me weird, but I actually really enjoyed Johnny's performance the other night. I have no idea why but I like him and my friends all make fun of me for it. Yes, his costume was hideous. Yes, there are some other weird things about him that I don't have to mention. But I really enjoyed watching him skate and I thought he did a great job. Evan was better, but really, Johnny is so good. Even though he probably won't medal, I hope he does well.
But anyway, as long as Evan gets a medal I'll be pretty happy

yeah he's insane, the air he got was incredible.
I'm sure I'll miss some great stuff tonight, gotta huge test tomorrow, but maybe it can be on in the background...
just got finished watching the men's freeskate program and all I can say is WOW! Evan skated INCREDIBLY well and he certainly deserved the medal he got!
See the armies so arrayed,
Line on line, ten thousand strong.
See the Dragon King’s sharp blade,
Rising to a song!
See his enemies laid low!
Hear our voices sing:
Let glory crown the victor’s brow,
In the Hall of the Dragon King!
Well, the Men's Free Skate was everything I had hoped it would be. I'm glad Evan and Plushenko were the top two, they rightfully deserved the medals they won,
Now for the Women's figure skating!!
Avvie by the great Djaq!

I am quite happy for Evan. I'm really glad he
I am however pretty upset about Johnny Weir getting 6th place. His performance was beautiful. He did NOT deserve a 156 for that skate -- even Patrick Chan, the Canadian (who I thought didn't do too well) received a 160 and ended up above Weir in 5th. I thought Johnny had a chance for the bronze, he just needed a 164 to get it, and I thought his performance was worthy of that score.

I'm the only person who likes Johnny anyways so at least it didn't upset too many people
I actually rather like Johnny MissAravis. He's a bit odd, yes, but he's one of the only ones who makes it look easy. And maybe that's because it is a bit easy for him--aparently his routine isn't very challenging. But either way, he's so graceful. I think he deserved to place ahead of Swiss Lanbiel who messed up two jumps. I think Johnny was underscored, but I really don't know much about figure skating. Watching Johnny is enjoyable. Watching Evan is like watching a power work out. He's still awesome and I'm so stoked that he won, but he's not as graceful.
I really am tired of Plushenko's attitude. He thought he deserved to win with those shaky landings and off-kilter jumps? It's not enough to do a quad if you can't even do a good triple. And those dance moves? My, my.
