the Mizzou Tigers beating KU.
Is Quin Snyder still head coach over there at Mizzou? I'm always glad to see KU lose. I haven't forgiven em' for 1988 yet! (I'm a Duke fan)

I have a lot to be thankful for.
I was reminded of that this past week, when the house was full of relatives celebrating the day. They ranged in age from my father (85, who is recovering from cancer), to my 2-year-old grand-nephew.
We had a special treat after our Thanksgiving dinner, which saw 15 in attendance. I had the chance to show the International Space Station with the shuttle Atlantis following about 15 degrees behind it to a brother-in-law, my 8-year-old nephew, and my 4-year-old great-nephew. They enjoyed the view, and it was lots of fun.
And sometimes it's the little things that become the stuff of family "legends." One seems to have happened that evening, when my 8-year-old nephew drove his little RC car into a leg of one of the "overflow" food tables. About 10 of us watched as, in slow motion it seemed, the table tipped and dishes, milk, and silverware crashed onto the floor. There was a delay for dinner whilst we cleaned up, but by the next day we were already telling the tale to my brother, who could not be there because his wife is ill.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
I watched a whole hour of Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Thursday night. But I really celebrated Thanksgiving on Friday. The buffet was cheaper that day. We don't fix the traditional Thanksgiving meal anymore. We haven't in years. I don't mind really. I liked what I ate.
Friday and Saturday, we took a few drives through the country, checked out apple stores, and went to bookstores. And we looked at Christmas lights in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge! I enjoyed Thanksgiving this year...

Curious: what did you do for the poor, homeless, and downtrodden this Thanksgiving? What are you doing for them this Christmas?

No, the current basketball coach is Mike Anderson. The Big 12 hasn't started conference play (in basketball). But we won the football game played in KC on Saturday.
