The Jesus fish and cross are established faith symbols. If they're worn with purpose and meaning, they're fine. If it's just a fashion item something is wrong. If you think you're going to convert someone because of your Christian clothing you're also wrong. If anything happens it's because the Holy Spirit does the converting.
There's worse: I've seen Christian measuring tapes (for out-doors use) and shot glasses with Christian symbols on them. Gah. Tasteless and offensive. Are plain shot glasses really all that pagan? This Christian sub-culture is irk-worthy.
Narnianerd, some men like Winnie the Pooh, there's nothing wrong with that. But the Prince Caspian pillow is a bit disturbing.

I agree that they should not be "just a fashion item." I would never expect wearing Christian clothing to convert someone. That is ridiculous. They should be worn a) to remind the wearer of his or her faith b) as a symbol of ones faith (but not in a pushy holier than thou way). By buying socks with Christian symbols on it for my dad, we were not saying "these are holier than Santa (regular) socks" or "these are better than secular socks" In fact, if we could have found secular Christmas socks we probably would have gotten those instead. They were a good fit for my dad (in design and size ). Anyway, I'm pretty sure I'm not going to win this argument so I suppose I'll just stop now.

Yuck! I agree with you here. I'm wonder if some of this conversation wouldn't be better suited for the Christianity thread.

Okay, as far as tacky items go, Christian socks are on the low-end of the scale (not bad). Maybe I should've used another example.
Suits for pets are cute but pretty much nonsense. I doubt the pets enjoy wearing them.

I saw someone selling their pocket lint...
What makes it even weirder is that they kept insisting it was "genuine" pocket lint. As if someone would try to fake it, haha.
^Yes, because, you know, making fake pocket lint is a crime.
memento mori
^ Pocket lint? selling it? Really? Weird
I sometimes love to see dogs in clothes, especially if they have short fur and they wear these coat like things during the winter. I always want to dress up my beagle in a Caspian outfit that were sold in Disney Stores but my local Disney Store went out of business.

I'm sure you could still get it at the disney store website, or ebay.
This next one isn't funny, but shocking: I have seen people selling their babies/children on ebay.
What! How does that work exactly? One of their (many) rules says that you can't sell people or animals on eBay.

They probably delete it once they see it but they wouldn't be able to see it as soon as someone put it up i guess or do they have to be approved before going online?
These pictures were sent to my mom in an email. I checked online to see if I could find them and I did. A version of the hug me pillow makes an appearance as well as umbrella shoes, chopstick fans, dust mop clothes, etc. I still haven't figured out exactly what a couple of them are / do.

Which one's Pal? My favorite was the little noodle fan that blows off your noodles before you eat em' down. They do have some strange stuff over there, don't they?
Kennel Keeper of Fenris Ulf
Eustace+Jill: wow that's horrible ! Makes me want to cry .

Which one's Pal?
The one that looks like it is on a train and the one with the hard hat.

Hopefully they don't use the fan with noodles that have a lot of sauce. I sure won't want to be in the path of air (and anything it blows off of the noodles.) I wonder how much of that stuff is in common use and how much is just a joke.

the first one looks like it's to keep you standing up while you're sleeping. And the hard hat to keep your head up so you don't hurt your neck with your head on your chest sleeping.
Quite comical but could be useful .
The hard hat is also so you don't brain yourself when you're sleeping. I sometimes fell asleep on the school bus (it was a long ride) and would be woken up when I cracked my head on the window. It's painful but that invention is rather silly.
