um no, they can be used as currency in the playground black market. How else can you get a decent peanut butter and jelly sandwich or a cool light up pen? Or you could use it to bribe someone to do your homework haha

Oh and has anyone seen "smencils"? They come in a plastic cylinder big enough for a pencil and when you take the pencil out..guess what? They smell like candy or fruit or soda of your choice! My brother got the root beer and watermelon one. The watermelon one smelled nice..haha but its still weird...

^Yeah I've seen those, but two kids (I think they were 1st graders) didn't like how they smelled, and they started attacking each other with them. That was a weird fight to brake up.......

Give me an old fashoned quill anyday. The only trouble you got into with that was someone dipping girls ponytails into them.

You seriously want to go back to the ink well and quill? I know there's romantic ideas of using them (from historical movies/books etc.) but I doubt you would enjoy using them for a long period of time. They have to be dipped in the ink well often and you have to write at a particular angle. You also have to cut back the quill to write properly. It's quite a task.

Haha i got a set while I was in Boston for a field trip and it is so hard to use. I got frustrated because I couldn't get a thin line. So I gave up, thanked God for technology and used my smooth ballpoint pen

lol Boy Scout, I'm 14. I think I can tell the difference between food and pencils XD Oohh and I LOVE those markers that smell good. My friend used them on my planner and to this day it still smells like oranges and bleach (we couldn't figure out which one it was so we called it bleach)
