Today, on October 5th, 2011, Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple, passed away. I have started this thread so that we may pay our respects to him and remember all he has done for the world of computers and entertainment.
We will miss you Steve.
Seeking comic book artist, PM for details.
Aww. May he rest in peace. My condolences to his family members and friends.

He will be missed. He gave the world much in electronics. Even helped financing Pixar. Had he not helped there probably would be no Pixar today.
May he rest in peace.
I only found out about this today in history class while watching the news that he had died last night.
It kind of shocked me a little for some reason that he had passed away. I know he resigned in late August from Apple because of his health, but when his death actually came, I realized something: If he hadn't existed, our society's outcome would have been different.
Many of my classmates have iPods, a device that 30-40 years ago would have been something out of a science fiction movie that seemed almost impossible. As were iPhones, iPads, some home computers, some laptops, and many other things.
Imagine if none of these came to be. We would be communicating, learning, working, and doing everything differently. We might not have even gotten to have NarniaWeb if there had been no Steve Jobs.
May he rest in peace and may Apple keep bringing out new technology in his memory.
May he rest in peace with God. Steve Jobs really was a rare genius. He brought about so many unbelievable visions, giving so much to all of us even though we didn't really think of it like that. Suddenly, here sitting at my Mac, and an owner of an iPod & an iPhone, I can't believe where I'd be without all these magnificent things. What would I do without my iPod? I'm sure not many other people could have thought up such a craftily devised, portable device, capable of bringing quite as much joy to music lovers.
If he hadn't existed, our society's outcome would have been different.
So true, and how very different it would be! We might have not have even been near to developing what we have now. It's still absolutely hard to believe that one man could create all of this and so greatly benefit the world of technology, in endless ways. If one thing is for sure, it's that Mr. Jobs will never be forgotten.
Thanks in a huge part to Mr. Jobs, we're also able to be here on NW together.
We have nothing, if not belief.
