So, I've already made some icons/avatars from the new season. Does anyone know the policy regarding such graphics?I don't know if they're too spoilery to be on NWeb.

Thanks for your thoughtful inquiry, Juliana. NarniaWeb doesn't have an official policy on spoilers for other shows, such as LOST. However, a number of fans here on the site haven't had a chance to see any of season 6 yet, either because they're catching up on season 5, or because season 6 hasn't aired yet in their locations. So it would be great if you could postpone using any season 6 graphics for a couple weeks or so. Thanks!

My sister was doing some reading around the web and there was this one theory that

Spoiler
Sayid is now Smoky. The only thing though is, can Smoky be in two places/persons at once? :- If he could then I could see this working because Smokey in the past has pretended to be someone else like: Yemie, Alex, and Christen, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he did it again with Sayid and try to gain the trust of Jack and company and lure them to wherever he wanted them to go.

A few other things are that

1. In the Damon and Carlton interview on Jimmy Kimmel they said that something is possessing Sayid or something like that. I don’t think it is Jacob because it sounded like they sort of ruled that out.

2. The pool was dark instead of clear

3. Miles was staring at Sayid and when Hurley asked him what was wrong he sort of looked confused and said "nothing". I think that maybe he couldn’t hear him after he died like he can with everyone else who had died in the past.

He may just be an other now, since he did the same thing Ben did after he got shot.

Oh, and something else my sister read was that in this picture below, Sayid is in Judas spot. I’m not sure if this has any significance, but I found it interesting.

It's true,

Spoiler
they did seem to dismiss "Jacob=Sayid" in that interview. But if Flocke is the Smoke Monster as well as the MIB - which Flocke pretty much admitted to in the premiere - it seems odd that Sayid would be Smokey too. In the past the Smoke Monster could only be one place at a time, and in "LA X" Flocke had to disappear before it could come. Verrry interesting!

I find that picture of "The Lost Supper" (available in a bigger size, with comments, here) fascinating yet puzzling. Apparently more TV shows are adapting da Vinci’s original painting to their characters. Theological implications and concerns aside (Locke/Flocke doesn’t strike me as much of a Christ figure), even in-universe this placement strikes me as odd. The 'real' Locke is dead and Flocke (aka MIB and the Smoke Monster) doesn’t seem like much of a good guy to date. Jack (doubting Thomas) seems well-placed, as the 'man of science' from early episodes who doubted Locke's 'faith' in destiny etc. Sayid is indeed in the Judas spot. But perhaps that position reflects an earlier betrayal: he shot young Ben, setting his course for who he became as an adult and thus indirectly leading to Ben’s betrayal and killing Jacob...but then why isn't Ben in the Judas spot?

By the way, there were 2 versions of “The Lost Supper” and fans are busy dissecting the significance, if any, of the placement of the characters (Claire, Hurley and Miles switch seats). The second version is here.

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

So, my brother just had a great theory about Lost. He's been watching the first season for the first time, and thought that

Spoiler
Flocke is Vincent. That Vincent died in the crash (which would make sense, I mean how would a dog survive that if he'd been in a cage or something?), and Smokey inhabited him. It makes sense, cause Vincent has always been kinda weird...standing there, watching them creepily, or disappearing for long periods of time, not coming when he's called, other random stuff.
Thoughts?

Gazer, I too thought that

Spoiler
It should be Ben in the Judas spot, not Sayid...

VL, that is an interesting theory. In fact I could see that being the case fairly easily.

Spoiler
Another item to consider is that until this season you never see the Smoke Monster on the beach. Ever. Even at the very beginning it could have come down to the beach and made short work of the survivors.

Folks, sometimes I wonder if we're looking at this whole thing too intently...sometimes the easiest explanation is the right one. I used to tease my friends who were X-Files fans (which has almost as convoluted a plot as Lost does ;)) ) and now I worry I might be becoming one of them. =))

Ok this may be a major SPOILER even for those watching season six right now so WARNING: May be a SPOILER for you.

Spoiler
There is this new promo for Season Six on DVD and Blu-Ray (I have no idea why they have one when the season just started) it has some new footage. Here is the Link: http://spoilerslost.blogspot.com/2010/0 ... z0eoia2NwO
Two things I found interesting. 1. This is the weird one. We see Locke or Flocke (I think) running through the jungle and if you watch carefully he slowly turns into a young boy (I think) Here is a screencap of the boy:

Also there was a casting call for two boys here: http://spoilerslost.blogspot.com/2010/0 ... -call.html
I think that the casting call matches the boy we see in the promo
2. The other thing is there have been reports about Claire being totally different then before, many have compared her to Danielle Rousseau.
Anyway here's the screencap of what I think is a Aarons cradle and a skull and stuff put together to make a sort of doll.

I think Claire misses Aaron and makes a fake doll out of stuff around the island to put in the cradle. Just a thought though. :)

Tonight's Super Bowl offered a little something for LOST fans, no matter which team you were rooting for. The Bud Light asteroid commercial (watch it on Hulu here) includes Francois Chau (Dr. Chang/Halliwax, etc) as the astronomer spotting the incoming missile.

(There was another Bud Light ad with airplane wreckage and survivors on a beach that reminded me of the show immediately, but wasn't necessarily a direct reference).

The Bud Light commercials were definitely targeted at LOST fans. I got that straight off. Apparently the LOSTies would rather drink Bud Light than leave the island...Which isn't that wierd since half of them didn't want to leave anyway, and the rest of them came back. ;))

Interesting stuff 7chronicles. I'm starting to get so confused that I'm tempted to take the tactic of "Let's just wait and watch and see."

So, my thoughts on tonight's Lost.

Also, Warrior, I take it you've seen the premiere? What did you think? :D

(spoilers for episode 3, season 6)

Spoiler
Is Sayid "Bad"? Yes. He definetly had this "dark and dangerous" vibe going on, from these weird, knowing looks he was giving, and even the way he said things. It reminded me of Flocke before we knew he was Flocke, we all thought he seemed different...more confident? And more then more evil. Is Claire "Bad"? No. Part of my reasoning is just that I don't want her to be bad!! *sniffle* Also, I think the only reason they told this to Jack was to make him make Sayid take the pill. Another thing, when we see her, if anything she looks confused and a tiny bit scared, albeit tough. Not exactly "dark and evil" like Sayid is now, and Flocke is. Also, she saved Jin. Does she recoginze him? I wasn't sure.EDIT: Hm, or maybe Sayid isn't "possesed" he's just "corrupted" like the French people were...

Also

Spoiler
A lot of people are saying it's not a very engaging episode...I can see why. In the current-time part of it, I actually felt kinda...bored?! Hopefully the next one is more exciting, and has more answers.

Spoiler
WOOT!!! For the "new reality". I love the flash-sideways, moreso then the original story. I still hope Kate runs into Sawyer in this time-line, and I'm glad she met up with Claire and helped her out. I'm curious to see how all the others will "connect" in their "centric" episodes.

Spoiler
I can't help comparing the New Claire to Roussou (spl?). Looking for their missing baby that someone took from them, setting traps and acting all tough, shooting people...:P

Interesting "Trojan Horse Theory" (season six spoilers)

No, sorry. I haven't seen the premiere yet. It screens in just over 7 hours time. I'm a bit bummed though. I don't think there will be anything new to discuss (and I love sharing my thoughts and sometimes, theories).

I've never heard of the Trojan Horse Theory website. Is it really better than LostPedia, DarkUFO and the like?

Warrior, I've never read DarkUFO, and I haven't been too much on LostPedia (although I use it to look things up I don't remember), so I guess saying lost-forum.com is the best Lost site is pretty biased. ;)

No worries mate. How many episodes have screened in the US now? The two-hour premiere and a single episode (3 in total?)

That's correct, Warrior. I look forward to reading your thoughts and theories about "LA X."

I tend to be partial to Lostpedia meself.

A few thoughts on tonight's episode, "What Kate Does."

Spoiler
The name seemed a reference to earlier episode titles like season 2's "What Kate Did." I too thought the on-island segment was rather lackluster - though it may pay off in an episode or two - and preferred the flash-sideways. The opening segment, with Claire and Kate in the cab, struck me as amusing, with Artz's luggage in the way.

I liked that Kate took Claire to the adoptive parents' home and then to the hospital. It was creepy seeing Ethan as her doctor, another echo of Claire's abduction by the Others early in the series.

Yes We’ve had three total Warrior 4 Jesus :) This episode was necessary, but slow. I still loved it of course though! I get the sense that each episode will keep building up to a point were they won't hold anything back.
But with Lost who knows.

Spoiler
I had know about Claire and that she had gone Roussou from some spoilers me and my sister heard a while back. But I want to know in detail what had happened to her after John left her in the cabin.

I think next week will be interesting and a little nail biting from what the promo showed. :-s :)
