I didn't think it was as good as Dr. Linus or the Richard episode, but better than Recon. Some interesting twists in it and it's Jin/Sun centric.
No worries there. As long as it's better than 'Recon'. Ha, ha!
Jin/Sun-centric? Very cool. It's about time they got more screen-time.

No Spoilers for those who are watching Season 6
I noticed that it’s just the candidates so far.
PS. I like your Avatar Bookwyrm! I Love that scene!

I hope so to, it seemed like they noticed something.
It makes me wonder when we will finally get an idea of whats going on in the Flash-sideways

When Locke saw a white light, back in the jungle (Season 1) and thought it beautiful, I believe he saw Smokey, but in the guise of something hopeful (maybe as Helen? or
If Christian Shephard is another presence on the Island, other than Jacob and the MIB, he could be a referee of sorts, to make sure they play by the rules. Actually I like that idea.
I have the same idea as some others, as to how the series may end,

That's a very good idea, W4J. And it fits with what Jacob and the MiB discussed about things happening over and over again and "progress".
Finished LOST Season 3, just right now. I am torn:
Narnian1, keep watching. You are in for one bumpy ride!

Please don't give me any answers or hints of any kind. This is just me giving my thoughts. Previous stuff that has been given I appreciate, but in this case I want to be kept in the dark until the show decides to give:

1. I doubt they're considering among them, even though which doesn't make full sense yet.
2. and is he considered part of the Oceanic 6? I'm not sure. Can't wait to find out more...

I didn't get to right my . . . I'm hesitant to say 'review', as it's far too much me just going 'oh it's awesome' for that, so . . . thoughts of 'The Package' as my internet broke and I didn't get to watch it until recently. I myself preferred 'Recon', but I did enjoy catching all the information being thrown at us.
However, I just watched 'Happily Ever After'. So much better.
narnia1 - Best. Series. Ending. Ever. That
Just watched the Desmond episode.
And it would seem that Eloise, as usual, knows exactly what's going on, but isn't talking. I wonder if this fits in with her time cop function? It was great to see that Daniel is alive in this verse and got to be a musician rather than his mother forcing him into science.
I'm really hoping they don't restore the original reality at the end of the series. I like what's going on in the sideways reality. People are still alive and they're happier and better people. I've got a bad feeling though, since Desmond seems determined to track all the passengers down.
A thought on Jacob:
Just have to say--the latest episode was AMAZING!!! That is all
Actually...not. What are ya'll's favorite episodes from this season? Mine so far would be the Ben ep, the Sawyer ep, and then last night's episode.
"Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius, and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring." Marilyn Monroe
I think my favorite episodes so far this season are "Ab Aeterno" (Richard), "Dr Linus," "LA X," and then last night's "Happily Ever After" -
Eloise's role in the sideways universe: she clearly has a guardian role here too; though it may not be as 'temporal' cop she has access to unusual information. She reminds me a bit of Guinan in the TNG episode "Yesterday's Enterprise" - she knows that reality has been altered by the arrival of the Enterprise-C, but not precisely how.
Great to see Desmond back, and that he seems to hold the key to tying the 2 reality-lines together somehow. Again, it was odd to see old characters tied together in new ways - Desmond as Widmore's right-hand man, drinking his valuable whiskey; Daniel and Penny knowing they're half-siblings; Dan talking about love at first sight regarding a certain redhead (whom he knew in the original timeline but doesn't here); Dan's a musician rather than a physicist (driven there by original timeline Eloise).
A few more shout-outs: "Whatever happened, happened." The expensive whiskey. Desmond saves Charlie from drowning this time, in contrast to the season 3 finale (when watching this episode I wasn't sure if he would be able to save him or not). Dan's journal with physics equations. A runner training in the stadium. "You All Everybody."
Why is island-Widmore so intent on this experiment? He seems to have a lot to lose by 'waking' Desmond to the existence of the alternate reality: there his Penny isn't married to Desmond (which original Widmore has worked toward in earlier seasons) and there's no grandson. Rather, Desmond is single and works for Widmore. Of course, perhaps island-Widmore doesn't know this, and is just trying to find out what's going on.
Lastly, regarding how the series might end with the flash-sideways reality:
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
