I have Nothing Is Sound. I saw them at that Sonshine Festival a few times. They got some good tunes.
I have not met them yet, but I hope to meet them at Soulfest! I hope I do.....

LOL! I've done that before. My sister & I have this little skit that we do to "Edge of My Seat". We think it's kind of a... dramatic song.
Haha, I had Tim & Chad mixed up for the longest time! I don't know how I did that, they don't really look alike.
LOL! I've heard of people mixing Jon and Tim up,but I don't see how they can.
That link for Vice Verses is kinda funny. that little kid dancing cracks me up! I don't know why he did that, he's not even going with the music! You can listen to an mp3 of Vice Verses here: http://www.landofbrokenhearts.org/Media/ViceVerses.mp3
He annoyed my actually. I was like [grumpylark]"You're off tempo!! MOVE!! [/grumpylark]
Ooh,thanks for the link!! I love LOBH's MP3's. Have you heard the orchestra version of "Dare You to Move"?
ooh! Anyway you can provide a link?
Link. Make sure you're already logged into fb before you click though.
So,I just literally found out about NIS putting malicious software on your computer when you rip the cd. I ripped it to my account on my mom's laptop right before Christmas. I figured I accidentally triggered a facebook virus or something.
I actually ended up re-buying that cd on iTunes because it wouldn't rip again.
Oh,and some online were playing on this slogan generating site, and someone typed in "Tim Foreman" and the slogan was "Four out of five dentists recommend Tim Foreman." I made this later.
Eek, you miss a lot when you're gone for a few days!
Do you own any CDs? If so, which one(s)?
I have The Beautiful Letdown, Nothing Is Sound, and Hello Hurricane. I really want Oh! Gravity, but I'm not really sure I want either of their first two.
Do you have any of their merch?
Nope. I asked for a shirt last Christmas, but didn't get it.
Have you been to one of their shows? If so, how many times?
I haven't... I really want to though!
Have you ever met them?
Not really possible if I haven't been to a show
It's funny that you guys are getting those combinations of members mixed up... I actually think that Chad and Drew can look the most similar.
Ooh,thanks for the link!! I love LOBH's MP3's. Have you heard the orchestra version of "Dare You to Move"?
I have, it's the Vitamin String Quartet. I really like it! I also have Meant To Live & 24.

That thing is really annoying! I bought the CD after I bought it on Rhapsody. So, I didn't get into that mess. I found on the SF boards a list of FAQ's & one of them was:
How do I put 'Nothing is Sound' on my computer or itunes?
A: Sony attempted to stop the illegal download of music by putting anti-piracy software on most of their artists cds in 2005. Switchfoot was unaware of this fiasco when the album was released. You can read a message from the band here about the cd software/copyright. Most of the original cds with the anti-piracy software have been replaced, but we still have help for you if you happen to have one of the old cds. You should have no problem converting the dual disk on your computer. If you continue to have problems, please feel free to ask for further assistance and we'll do what we can.
By the way, Jon wrote & poem & read it for an audience & it's really good, IMO. You can watch the video here.. Here are the words:
The voice of the sea on a moonless night
Calling, falling, slipping tides
The voice of leaky, dripping pipes
Endless, aching droplets of light
Running, pushing falling down
Always longing, always now
Silent underneath these streets
Even blood finds ways to bleed
Even rivers ways to run
Even rain to reach the sun
Even here within these means
Within this skin, within these dreams
Longing for the other shore
The world we've never been before
Restless for the infinite
With tears of saints and hypocrites
For death and life, for night and day
With blood of black and white and grey
One by one by one by one
Our rivers surge and fight and run
Until the sea of glass we meet
At last completed and complete
Where tide and tear and pain subside
Where joy and laughter drink them dry.

I LOVE the Vitamin String Quartet! I have alot of their songs, for SF, RK, and Flyleaf .
Ooh that poem was cool .
Ooh! Switchfoot has grown to be probably my favorite band. I love Jon Foreman's song writing, he's brilliant. The depth behind each song is pretty amazing.
Do you own any CDs? If so, which one(s)? Um, I think I own all of them. My friend is a huge SF fan, and she's given me all of them for birthday and Christmas presents. In fact, I've never had to buy a SF album with my own money!
Do you have any of their merch? A sticker...
Have you been to one of their shows? If so, how many times? I've been to two concerts. They're pretty amazing in concert, and I'd love to go for a third time.
Have you ever met them? Nope.
My favorite album is Hello Hurricane. It's the only album that I love every song on. Also, I found this link in which Jon Foreman explains the meaning behind each song in HH. Every one of his explanations gave me a 'wow' moment. I hadn't realized the depth behind each song until I read that.

What? I just had a virus on my computer, and now that I think about it, it was just after I put NIS on my computer! That's probably where I got it from.
I really like Switchfoot, but I don't actually have any of their CDs. I hope to get them on my iPod, though. I've never actually seen them, but I have quite a list of favorite songs:
Beautiful Letdown
Burn Out Bright
Head Over Heels (In This Life)
American Dream
Oh Gravity
This is Your Life
Meant to Live
The Setting Sun
Stars
Twenty-Four
Gone
Adding to the Noise
Lonely Nation
Politicians
Ammunition
We Are One
That's all I can think of right now.
The glory of God is man fully alive--St. Iraneus
Salvation is a fire in the midnight of the soul-Switchfoot
Please note that this Special Feature will be closing on Friday, June 11, after which you may discuss Switchfoot in the Favorite Music thread.

So, they're having the bidfire auction thing right now. Is anyone doing that? I'm not cause my parent's didn't wanna run up a huge bill. It's for a really good cause though. I heard that the site crashed a little after they started cause there were SO many people online! I guess they underestimated the power of SF fans!
(Sorry, I just now saw this post. ) It probably crashed because I've seen an add for it on literally like 50 websites. It's crazy, because I've seen it in the most random places that have nothing to do with music or Switchfoot.
Yeah there were a TON of ads for it on NW that day. Is it still going on? How long does it last?
