Do you own any CDs? If so, which one(s)?
Do you have any of their merch?
Have you been to one of their shows? If so, how many times?
Have you ever met them?
The only question I can answer yes to is "Do you own any CDs?" I have Oh! Gravity. My favorite song on it is... undetermined. I can't decide. My favorites are (in album order): American Dream; Awakening; Faust, Midas, and Myself; Burn Out Bright; 4:12; and Let Your Love Be Strong. Yeah, that's most of the album. But hey, they're really good!

I own all of their CD's in digital form, but I own Learning to Breathe, Nothing is Sound & Hello Hurricane on CD. I LOVE all of their music!
Do you have any of their merch?
No, unfortunately.
Have you been to one of their shows? If so, how many times?
I have only been to one show, & that was last summer. It was REALLY cool! We were in the balcony, but we had a good view of the stage.
Have you ever met them?
No, but I will in Heaven!
Has anyone seen their podcasts? I think my favorite is #19. it's really funny!

Today,we my sister had to make lunch, and she didn't really have much to work with because we haven't been to the grocery store in awhile. But she ended up making this really great dish, and I named it "More Than Fine Stir-fry" after the SF song "More Than Fine". I'm actually working on re-writing the lyrics to where it's about the dish.
Just thought I'd share that.
Has anyone taken the "Which Member of the Band Switchfoot are you?" quiz on facebook? I did and I got
Random funny story: when I bought NIS,I tried to figure out who each band member was by myself, and I got Jerome and Chad mixed up.
And a video of "Vice Verses"!!

LOL! I've done that before. My sister & I have this little skit that we do to "Edge of My Seat". We think it's kind of a... dramatic song.

Haha, I had Tim & Chad mixed up for the longest time! I don't know how I did that, they don't really look alike.
That link for Vice Verses is kinda funny. that little kid dancing cracks me up! I don't know why he did that, he's not even going with the music! You can listen to an mp3 of Vice Verses here: http://www.landofbrokenhearts.org/Media/ViceVerses.mp3

I have The Beautiful Letdown, The Best Yet, Hello Hurricane, Learning to Breathe, Nothing Is Sound, and hopefully I'll be getting Oh! Gravity soon!
Have you been to one of their shows? If so, how many times?
I had planned on going to one on the 21st of May, but that did not work out. So I WILL be going to the one on August 10th! I'm very excited!
I've been listening to Switchfoot for years, they are my favorite band!
I met Georgie and Skandar AND saw the film in one evening.
I only own "Hello Hurricane" but I have heard almost all of their music (curtisy of my brother! )
I love all of their music!
I have never seen them live, but they will be at Soulfest this year and I hope to see them there!
my brother owns a DVD of their live concert in California and it's awesome!
when I was younger, my brother let me borrow his copy of "The Beautiful Letdown" and I borrowed it for three months. during those three months I listened to it every day. I am addicted to that CD! it's my favorite Switchfoor CD!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY A SWITCHFOOT THREAD!!!!!
Do you own any CDs? If so, which one(s)?
I own almost all their albums, but most of them are mp3s from iTunes. My brothers and I bought The Best Yet at our first SF concert, so we own that CD. And I am a proud owner of the Deluxe Edition of HELLO HURRICANE. XDDDD I embarrassed one of my brothers carrying the photobook around everywhere for three weeks after it arrived on our doorstep. Only album I'm missing is Learning to Breathe (unless you count Fiction Family and Jon's independent stuff, in which case I'm far short. XD)
Do you have any of their merch?
One generic SF poster, one Hello Hurricane poster, The Best Yet CD, Hello Hurricane CD, Making of Hello Hurricane CD, Hello Hurricane DVD, Hello Hurricane photobook, all my concert tickets (XD). I think that's it. My parents aren't very hot on me rabidly buying all their stuff. ;]]]
Oh, and if a Spring Celebration T-shirt counts... even though it wasn't only SF.
Have you been to one of their shows? If so, how many times?
I've been to three shows so far: their performance at the Spring Celebration, Great America, San Jose, CA; concert at San Jose Civic, and most recently the San Francisco Regency Ballroom (Hello Hurricane tour) and OH MY GOSH it was awesome. Soooooo overwhelming, very long, very epic. Those are all but one of the concerts they've had since I first found out about them. (music-clueless-person that I am) Their most recent concert took place on the day my dad got his adrenal gland surgically removed, so we couldn't go. T____________T
Have you ever met them?
Still no, unfortunately. First concert they weren't able to hang around, second concert I was clueless and missed the chance, third concert my brother got sick during the concert and we couldn't stick around.
-rabidswitchfootfan- My friends at church have all stopped mentioning Switchfoot in front of me. XDDD I wonder why....
You've shown your quality, sir. The very highest. ~Samwise Gamgee

Do you own any CDs? If so, which one(s)?
I have physical copies of The Beautiful Letdown and Hello Hurricane and pretty much everything else in physical copies.
Do you have any of their merch?
unfortunately no. But I plan on getting the collector's edition of Hello Hurricane with my bday money, and maybe a tshirt.
Have you been to one of their shows? If so, how many times?
sadly no. And they were right by me too at the beginning of December. At the same place I saw Relient K two months before. But I didn't go b/c at the time I had only heard a few songs of theirs I didn't like them that much. About two weeks after the concert I fell hopelessly in love with the band and I have regretted not going to that concert ever since . Hopefully I'll see them someday .
Have you ever met them?
obviously not. But like TP said, I'll meet them in Heaven if I don't get a chance on earth!
Whoo-hoo!! Great intro,Ali! And,btw, awesome picture choice! Andy Barron rocks.
haha thanks it took me a while . Yes I love that pic, one of my faves of them .
You forgot a link to this site.
shame on me!

ooh! Anyway you can provide a link?
Random funny story: when I bought NIS,I tried to figure out who each band member was by myself, and I got Jerome and Chad mixed up.
lol I used to always call Drew Chad, even though I knew Chad was the drummer .
And I am a proud owner of the Deluxe Edition of HELLO HURRICANE. XDDDD
Cool, me too! We were actually about to buy the regular one at the store, but then my little sister found the VERY LAST deluxe version! YAY!! I REALLY wanted the Collector's Edition, but I didn't have enough B-day money. I actually got enough money a month later (my g-parents were kinda late last year) & I could have bought it, but I had already bought the deluxe version.
I was at the Christian Book Store a couple weeks ago, and sitting right there on the shelf was the photobook! I would have bought it but it was $50!!! And I couldn't look inside it cause the plastic wrapping was still on it.
About two weeks after the concert I fell hopelessly in love with the band and I have regretted not going to that concert ever since . Hopefully I'll see them someday .
Aw... I'm sorry! That happened to me too. One month before I got into them, they were here! If you CAN go, though, GO! SF concerts are a BLAST!

^I will totally try if I get the chance. Right now I'm trying to convince my parents to let me go to Soulfest for my birthday. Switchfoot and alot of other bands will be there .

So, they're having the bidfire auction thing right now. Is anyone doing that? I'm not cause my parent's didn't wanna run up a huge bill. It's for a really good cause though. I heard that the site crashed a little after they started cause there were SO many people online! I guess they underestimated the power of SF fans!
avatar by Flambeau!
I wanted to do it but I didn't even bother asking b/c I knew my parents wouldn't let me . I'm trying to invest all my convincing powers in Soulfest right now anyways, and that would cost any money I have. Although that SF bid is a chance in a lifetime. I would LOVE to record a song with them. Whoever wins will be well deserving of my jealousy .
It IS the chance of a lifetime! I hope they do something like this again, it's a really good idea. I can't believe the seats for biding aren't all taken up though. I hope whoever wins was well deserving. I'll still be VERY jealous though!
