I was just looking through my MMHMM folio, and it looks like Be My Escape was written for 10 guitars! I was *coughcough* a little surprised. I'm going to try to learn all 10! Yes, I'm crazy...

Wow, 10 guitars... it doesn't really sound like that many. So 10 were used in the recording? That's so cool that you have the MMHMM folio.

I know I was hoping this thread would last a little longer than most Special Features ...

TEN GUITARS !!!! And I thought that Deathbed had alot (it has 5 or something...and I had to learn all the different parts on piano ...it's hard to get all the different tunes in but it sounds so cool when it's done! You should really try to do it on guitar [Be My Escape and/or Deathbed ] )...

GtG: They're the ones for F&NSD, from spring-ish 2009 -- they came w/ the Relient K podcast and also if you bought F&NSD on iTunes.

Have any of you heard the song Long Shot? It's actually a Kelly Clarkson song, but it's written by Matt Thiessen (with Katy Perry & Glen Ballard). It's my favourite Kelly Clarkson song since you can really hear RK's style in it. (You can listen to it here if you haven't.) There's also a video somewhere of Katy Perry singing it with Matt playing guitar, but I think it's pretty horrible, so I like to pretend it doesn't exist.

It's one of the few times my brother, being a huge Kelly Clarkson fan, knew about something RK-related before me.

I've heard of that song and music video, but I never heard/saw it. I'll probably listen to it later but I'm not at all a fan of either Kelly Clarkson or Katy Perry so I don't know if I'll like it ...

Hyaline, I had already seen the video w/ Katy Perry, (too late ) but I didn't know Kelly Clarkson sang it too. Her voice is soooo much better than Katy's, wow. Thanks for sharing!
