I just looked up New Moon's soundtrack list for a totally unrelated reason (don't ask why) and discovered that the 'soundtrack' that Stephenie Meyer made for the books includes "Be My Escape".. which was cool at first, but now the idea just fills me with terror because next time I listen to it, I'm going to think of New Moon.

Another random fact: today I discovered that my brother bears a striking resemblance to Matt T. He's 12. lol.. It's something to do with the nose.. and his mouth, and the hair. Of course, upon learning that he looks like Matt, my brother was horrified.

After poking around and looking at some different Relient K songs, I have officially decided that "Crayons Can Melt On Us For All I Care" is my favorite song. Of all time. By anyone.

(Though I suppose John Cage's 4'33" comes close.)

I just found out that Relient K is coming to Japan this April!!!

I don't know why I'm excited, because there's hardly a chance that I'll go, because..
1. I haven't heard of most of the other bands they'll be with
2. I don't have anyone who would go with me
3. Concerts like that aren't really my thing anyway..
4. It's really expensive..
5. I probably have something on that day..
6. Oh, and my parents most likely wouldn't let me go..

So I was extremely hyper, then extremely depressed. Ah well.

I agree, Crayons is awesome.

Ahh but you have to find a way to go, AC! Just think, how many times is Relient K going to be touring in Japan? (I heard about this tour a little while ago and kept meaning to mention it to you, but I kind of assumed you already knew )

AC: Yes I heard of that tour (punkfest right?)...for some reason I thought you knew or I had told you before...anyway, none of the other bands look very interesting but you should still try to make it! I'm sure they won't be back in Japan for a while so this is your chance!

It's called Punkspring... but yeah. I've heard of many of the other bands, but I haven't really listened to any of them. None of them are "Christian" bands like Relient K, except for Eleventyseven.

It's around 8000 yen which is, like, 80-90 US dollars..
Even if I had that much money to spend on a concert.. I don't think I would. Plus, my parents wouldn't let me go alone, and I don't know anyone else in Japan who likes RK, so.. they'd have to come with me. Which would mean 16000 yen or so. If they even agreed to come.
Plus, it's from 13:00 on a Sunday..

There's, like, more than 20 bands or something.. O_o
Some of them look kinda really creepy.

But I'm a tiny bit hopeful, because beside where it lists the lineup it says which ones are new this year - at least I think that's what it means - and RK doesn't have the 'new' tag on it, so I'm guessing they were there last year and therefore *might* be there next year. By next year I could have:
1. Saved up money
2. Converted friends to RK

I first saw a picture of Relient K when I was about ten-ish,and I thought they were creepy. Especially Matt T. *hides from Kat * But at that age,I was a lot different than I am now.

But now I loooove their music! Lets see the first song of theirs that I heard was..."Faking My Own Suicide."
Still don't have "Forget and Not Slow Down." My sisters b-day is coming up though. I could buy it for her. But I don't think she thinkes them.

I was only ten! Matt was the only one I really paid any attention to... He probably creeped me out because he wasn't smiling.
Right now my favorite is "I So Hate Consequences" but that's liable to change.
I'd get it for me before I'd get it for her! I'll probably wait 'til it goes on sale before I buy it.

I So Hate Consequences is really great! It used to be my favorite song . Ever. But that space changes quite often. Right now it's occupied with Devestation and Reform . I love that song. And um...YOU DON'T HAVE ANY ALBUMS!!! Would you like me to email you some songs? I can if you want

AC, Yikes, that is really pricey. Oh, I hope that's what the "new" tag means! I don't remember if they went on that tour last year... but last spring I wasn't much of an RK fan so I wasn't following. I really only became a fan in the summer.
