If you are interested in sharing I wouldn't mind checking it out.

Also, I went back to the Herinteractive forum... It is just way to busy for me... There were 300+ people online... So just way to crazy for me to enjoy myself there. Not to mention they changed there forum lay out... But then again so did NarniaWeb. ;)

Plus there didn't seem like much to do unless your helping other people out with there Nancy Drew computer games... Which I am currently not playing any.

Bartholomew: I think are a bunch of other things to do. When I go on(which is rarely ever nowadays) I like to read aes or approved stories other users are writing. I'm writing a story now actually.

L.M. Pevensie:

One thing that always annoyed me about the books is that Nancy and Ned's relationship never developed. :(( I'm a hopeless romantic and my favorite books were the one's were Ned played a rather large part, he usually really boring and I thought Nancy was sort of mean to him most of the time, she seems to ignored him when she's on cases.

I once wrote a mock advice column called Unlucky in Love Lads From Literature and used Ned as one of my letter writers. It was a lot of fun to look at Nancy and his relationship from his point of view rather than hers. It's really short so if anybody is interested I could post it, and you could tell me if you think I accurately portrayed Ned or not. :-s :-s

I'm a hopeless romantic, too. :)
If you want to share, I'd be interested in reading it :)

Patterwig's pal: I didn't know the show was actually from the late '70s. my mom said it was the '80s. sorry to confuse you. :) I own the 2nd season, too. What do you mean they dumped Nancy?!?
maybe you could find some episodes on hulu.
I like the Hardy Boys & Nancy drew meet Dracula, too. is a haunting we will go the one with the play? where Nancy is the maid in the play? if so, I like that one too.

wolfloversk: I think
i have not installed the games so that is the problem. my dad said we could probably get it fixed soon though.
you should join the forum. it's free. if you join, let me know and I'll look for you there :)

*raises hand* Ooh, I like Nancy Drew! It's been a while since I read any of the books, but I'm a big fan. :) I've read all the ND books our library has and I own quite a few too. :) I haven't seen the movie, though I'd like to see it sometime.

I am a long time Nancy Drew fan. I am not a fan of the most current releases as they seem to have written it for a considerably younger group. The original series was written with the expectation that the reader would raise their reading level up to the book and challenge the reader. I really enjoy the original hardback series. I started reading Nancy Drew when I was 7 or 8 if I remember correctly.

The recent Nancy Drew movie was pretty good I thought. They managed to modernize the setting and to some extent Nancy without destroying the character and the principles she has.

I haven't played the video games.

I liked the old tv series. It was fun to watch. I need to see if my library has it so I can rewatch it. They used to have the video tapes, but I know at least some of it is out on DVD now.

The Nancy Drew Casefiles... not bad. Could have been better. Not up to the originals though.

The Nancy Drew Hardy Boy Super Mysteries were really good. I had a large number of them for awhile.

Ahh I used to LOVE Nancy Drew! I think we have all of the classic books (50 some? lol), but I honestly don't know where they change over from the classic ones to the new ones... we might have one new one or two.

No problem on the confusion. In the third seasons it is just the Hardy Boys Mysteries. The got rid of the the Nancy Drew part. Yes A Haunting We Will Go is the one with the play. What is hulu?

Okay I hope you guys won't mind if I ask some questions of my own even though I didn't start the thread. :-s
If you have played the games:
Which ones have you played?
Which one is your favorite?

Hooray for Nancy Drew! (and Isis too :p )

Danger on Deception Island (2003)
The Secret of Shadow Ranch (2004)
Curse of Blackmoor Manor (2004)
Legend of the Crystal Skull (2007)

I have played and not completed:

Message in a Haunted Mansion (2000)

I really like Nancy Drew. I have an old 1959 Nancy Drew board game in real good condition. Plus lots of her books. I even have both seasons of The Nancy Drew Hardy Boys TV show. Some of the series are kind of boring. (-| I like the new book series though. I have one of the Nancy Drew Hardy Boys Super Mysteries Secrets of the Nile, but it was kind of dry. I really like the games!!! :D I have tons. I don't really have a favorite. They are all so good!!

I haven't played any of the computor games.

I LVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the classic books!!!!!!!!!!!

My favorite character besides Nancy would definately be George because she's a tom-boy!

I love nancy drew! (I'm the co-founder of a Nancy Drew fan-club if any of you would like to join. Narnia Girl is the founder but I came up with the idea for it!)

I own three Nancy Drew games (listed below).
I have played and completed:
Message in a Haunted Mansion (2000)

I have played and not completed:
Treasure in the Royal Tower (2001)
Secret of the Scarlet Hand (2002)

I've seen one of the 80''s TV shows, The Secret of the Falling Angels or something like that, but I can't watch anymore for a while because my mom didn't like the way that Nancy was dreesed. **sighs deeply**

Nancy didn't dress the best in part of that one, but as far as I can remember that was the exception (depending on people's standards of course). I think she wears a couple of halter top or spaghetti strap dresses. The title of the show is the Mystery of the Fallen Angels, so you were close.

For some odd reason, I really want to read Nancy Drew books, play Nancy Drew computer games, and watch the Nancy Drew shows. I just can't figure out why ... :-?? ;)

I started reading the revised version of The Bungalow Mystery. I started keeping a journal with facts about Nancy, the Hardy Boys, and their families, friends, enemies, cases, etc. I've completed the Hardy Boys section for 1-58 of the revised originals and have recently gone back to finish the Nancy Drew revised ones 1-56. (I had the idea after I had finished reading the Nancy Drew books). I'm also noting the difference between the originals and the revised ones. I'm weird I know. :p Anyway, so far I have come up with two guys Nancy dated before Ned. I just found that interesting since people generally like Ned and Nancy to be together. If I remember right, she didn't meet him until The Clue in the Diary (book 7)

Ooh, neat! :D When I did my Classics series read through last year, I attempted to put the books in chronological order, or rather, as they happened in the year. There were some books that I had no clue about, as they seemed to happen in summer, but for others there was little clues here and there throughout the book as to the month which made things quite fun. :) It was almost like doing a sleuthing project of my own. :D

There are some copies of the book listed on Ebay, but I've never ordered from Ebay so I'm nervous about ordering from there. Some of the copies have the same cover as the Applewood ones and aren't too expensive.

I can understand your nervousness about ordering from Ebay, not that I've had any trouble in the past on my few bids/orders, but just the fact that sometimes the ND/HB/etc books that are listed as one thing aren't actually "the" edition you want or thought it was, or are listed differently... it's almost better to actually look at the book, hold it in your hands before buying it. But of course that sadly is not always feasible.

For some odd reason, I really want to read Nancy Drew books, play Nancy Drew computer games, and watch the Nancy Drew shows. I just can't figure out why ... :-?? ;)

I wonder why... ;)) I'm feeling the same way... :- ;))

Dear days of old, with the faces in the firelight,
