Okay, I finally heard the new episode!
It's not listed as today's show, but if you click "view full schedule" you'll be taken to another page that shows the episodes that have been on in the past two weeks on the right-hand side of the screen. The Inspiration Station 1 is on the top. Hit "listen online." You should be able to hear it. I tried this yesterday and it didn't work, so I don't know if it will work for everyone today or not.
My thoughts on the new season:
I can't wait to hear next weekend's episode. And I hope the site doesn't give us the same problems.
Edit: whoops! Sorry for double posting!
That was so strange... referring to the fact that it wasn't up on the site until Sunday! But, strange is also a good word to describe the episode .

Now, to respond in kind...
I'm definitely going to listen to it a few more times before part two comes out... maybe it'll grow on me?
"Oh telescope, keep an eye on my only hope,
Lest I blink and be swept off the narrow road.
Hercules, you've got nothing to say to me,
'Cause you're not the blinding light that I need.
For He is the saving grace of the Galaxies."
Why is it not playing again????!! Anyway, while I wait for episode three to play, did anyone hear last week's episode? I still think but I thought that the second episode was better than the first one. I also thought it was kind of cool that
Parker family... the girls are a little annoying... I like Matthew and the parents... overall I think they could have some good potential.
Sadly, I am more excited about the Parkers than I am about Whit and Connie. I'm interested to see what will happen.
Olivia's voice is annoying, but I like Matthew and Mr. Parker.
I never really was confused by the Inspiration Station. It's adaptable to whoever goes in and in what inspires them. Pretty straight forward, though it was a little vague at the beginning.
P.S."Brooklyn!"
I'm gonna let the Inspiration Station 1 and 2 chill for a while until we get the actual album, then I'm going to give them another listen and try to figure out how I really feel about them. First impressions = disappointment, but I'm going to give them a second chance in a few weeks.
I listened to Clutter this afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. Maybe just because the whole "pack-rat" theme of the episode is quite true to my life.
It was good to hear some more from the Parkers. I still like the guys in the family, and the mom is good too... but the girls... still not a big fan. I'm not sure what to think about Red... I'll have to listen a few more times to get a clear opinion on him. He has potential to be both annoying or a fun character, depending on what they do with him.
Overall, I was encouraged by this episode because I now know that I can enjoy and like, at least this episode, of the "new" Odyssey!

I thought Clutter was a lot more Odysseyish than Inspiration Station was, but I thought it was ordinary. It sounded like one of those old Family Portraits episodes that they've played occasionally online. The only thing that made Clutter stick out was the mom speaking Spanish. Other than that I found it rather bland in comparison to past episodes. I really hope the season will get better.
On the voices: Olivia Parker sounds like a cartoon. It's really annoying. Camilla isn't quite as bad, but Matthew and the parents definitely have better voices. I'm still not sure about the new Whit, but I don't dislike him.
Our copy of Take It From The Top has arrived!

Agreed, which was why I enjoyed it. Good to know that all the episode weren't going to be Inspiration Stationesque.
Game for A Mystery - The mystery itself was pretty lame, there was pretty much no way for the listener to solve it . However, I did enjoy getting introduced to the new Jones family! My favorites thus far are the Dad and Barrett (especially Barrett!).
It was interesting to hear Nelson, from Kidsboro, make an appearance. We had heard that some Kidsboro characters were going to be in the episodes, and I was never sure how I felt about that. I didn't mind hearing Nelson, but if they want to keep using the Kidsboro kids, I'd much rather hear from Mike-er Ryan and Jill, since they were my favorites.
New Whit... hmmm... I feel like I've kind of ignored him this album. I don't wince every time he opens his mouth, but I haven't had that "he really is Whit" moment yet.
Now that I've listened to the entire album, I feel much better about AIO than I did at the start of the season. Not that this is one of my favorite albums or anything like that, but I am glad to know that I can enjoy the new characters, even though I miss our old AIO friends dearly . Right now, my favorite episodes are Grandma's Visit and The Jubilee Singers I, II, III ( and two thumbs up!), though I liked mosted of them!

ditto that. Odyssey has done much better mysteries. But, overall, I liked this episode better than the previous three.
I haven't had the chance to hear the latest episode yet, I'll come back when I do.
Sorry for double posting again!
Okay, so I finally managed to listen to Target of the Week and For the Birds. The bully scenario is nothing new to Odyssey, but I thought Target of the Week was interesting, especially because the bully wasn't Rodney Rathbone. Still not quite up to previous Odyssey standards, but still very good.
For the Birds was so-so. Admittedly, I probably would have liked it better if I liked Camilla's voice, but I don't. The Eugene thing was interesting, but I have to ask, what is Katrina going to say about him shaving his hair?
And I'm still not used to the new Whit voice.
Please note that this Special Feature will be closing Thursday evening, May 6th, at which point any future discussion should be directed to the Favorite Music thread. Thanks!

Audio Drama fans will be glad to know that as this Special Feature closes on Thursday, we will be opening a regular topic on the subject. So, be sure to keep an eye open this Thursday sometime for the new thread. In the meantime, you still have a couple of days to continuing discussing Odyssey here.

Thank you Mods for keeping this thread open for so long! (even though we have for the most part abandoned it)
Finally managed to listen to Grandma's Visit. Wasn't all that impressed. Interesting story, but not very well written. More of the action should have taken place first-hand rather than having the kids tell Whit about it. And I find it hard to believe that Whit would not have heard about it in the first place. Although the bathroom scene was funny.
Awesome! Can't wait for the new audio drama thread! Hopefully I'll be able to pop in there more often!

I was at a horse barn, around evening, sitting by myself up in the hayloft. I was watching one of the wranglers, Doc, training a horse, Golddigger. I heard him say, "Whoa, there, 'Digger." And I, watching, thought "Digger - Digger Digwillow!" And then I heard Doc say the same thing under his breath! Another Adventures in Odyssey fan, I'm sure.
My family does have some Odyssey albums, and we also go online to listen to newer ones occasionally. But the newest album we have is Lost and Found, so I can't offer any opinions about anything more recent.
My favorite episode is probably Snow Day, when Alex Jefferson has to deliver cookies to his grandmother, facing intense danger in the form of Rodney Rathbone and gang.
I also like Treasure Hunt, but disagree with it's rather anti-weapon message.

I LOVE Snow Day! Soooooooo many good quotes from that one.
"I was intently studying the insides of my eyelids . . ."
"Are we warriors or are we wimps?"
"We are wimps, sir!"
"Don't fire until you see the whites of their pupils! Or, something like that."
"Time to execute plan Zebra-Alpha-Charlie-Fettuccine-Water Buffalo."
"Wow, sounds like a great plan."
(in pain-filled gasps)"Alex! I . . . bequeath to you . . . my neon yellow . . . yoyo."
"Um, Cal? I don't want your yoyo."
(in normal voice) "What do you mean? It's a great yoyo!"
"It's lopsided and the string is full of knots."
And then that whole part where it's in slow-motion when Alex is running for his grandma's front door? Though I'm pretty sure it was just Rodney terrorizing Alex, Cal, and Mandy, not the entire Bones of Wrath.
P.S."Brooklyn!"
