Oh I like The Last Great Adventure of Summer. That one was pretty good.
I used to LOVE VBS Blues. That was like my favorite episode ever.
I also liked Camp What-A-Nut except for the part where Whit and Donny run away from the bear. Since I live in Alaska where there are bears, I've been told my entire life, "NEVER run from a bear, you can not possibly out run a bear, curl up on the ground and play dead." I even considered writing AIO at one time and asking why they wrote that in and how dangerous that is.
Wooten is my fav character!! I love all his episodes especially 'the popsicle kid', 'the mailman cometh', 'do or diet', 'basset hounds', 'welcoming wooten'... OK forget it. There is no especially.
I heard some very sad news this morning. On February 2nd, a week ago, Paul Herlinger passed away. I'm sure I'll pop in here and post my thoughts about this... but right now I just can't even come up with anything to say...
oh... me eiether...
Why isn't there anything about it on the official site?
maybe because they didn't want AIO fans to freak out that the show might stop. They didn't announce Hal Smith's death right away.(I read that in my Official guide to AIO)

Oh wow. He died? I am definitely praying for his family. That must be rough.
"Let the music cast its spell,
give the atmosphere a chance.
Simply follow where I lead;
let me teach you how to dance."
Has anyone heard the latest podcast? They announced that Paul Herlinger had died. And revealed the new theme song. I don't think Odyssey will ever be the same without Paul Herlinger. And I don't like the new theme. The melody is basically the same, except it's slower, and they added a new underscore.
I don't get why we need all these changes. Why a new theme song? What was wrong with the old one?
I was really sorry to hear about Paul Herlinger's death. My condolences to his wife and family.
P.S."Brooklyn!"
Please note that this Special Feature will be closed on Wednesday evening, February 24. Good discussion, all!

Well, since this is closing tonight, I'll just say that I had a lot of fun and it was a great discussion. I hardly ever get to discuss Odyssey with anyone besides my siblings, so this was awesome. The new season starts March 6--I hope it exceeds all of our expectations.
Agreed, daughter of the King. I just wish this SF could have stayed open long enough to discuss the upcoming season *sigh*. Oh well, only 10 more days to go! Album 51... here we come!

Lest I blink and be swept off the narrow road.
Hercules, you've got nothing to say to me,
'Cause you're not the blinding light that I need.
For He is the saving grace of the Galaxies."
Dekkie, I guess the closest option in which to talk further about Adventures in Odyssey would be the Books thread. Not an exact match, but do go ahead and feel free to post there about the upcoming season. And if anyone gives you grief for it, tell them Jo sent you.

Good news, Odyssey fans! After some discussion we've decided to reopen this topic for the new season. Discuss away!
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
Wow. Thank you, Mods!!!!
The new season starts next weekend. According to my brother (who is on Whit's End every day), it will open with a two-part episode: The Inspiration Station. AIO's two-parters are usually done with very good reason, so what do you think it's about? Does it have anything to do with Whit's new invention that was mentioned at the end of the last episode of album 50 The Imagination Station Revisited? If anyone else wants to jump in with questions please do!
I personally am very excited to hear the new season as there have been no new episodes for quite awhile. Again, thank you very much Mods for allowing our discussion to continue!!!
Yay for the extended SF!
I can't believe the new season airs THIS weekend! In fact, I see that the album is already available some places online, so we're going to check at our local Christian bookstore to see if they have it there yet.
I'm really having mixed feelings about the new season, what with all the "newness." Hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised! If anyone's interested, on the latest official podcast, http://whitsendblog.org/, there's the first scene of The Inspiration Station I (which is at least partly about the new invention from the end of album 51). It sounded really... odd. Not sure how I feel about the new invention, but I'm trying to withhold judgment until I hear the full two-parter. How do you guys plan on listening to the new season? Radio? Internet? Buy the album?
Oh, and who else got a little excited about reading Paul McCusker's thoughts on the VDT footage?

I'm listening to it on the internet. I used to listen to it on the radio, but we moved and I haven't had the time to look it up on a station here.
I'm waiting until I can hear the entire episode. Although I have been wondering if the title has anything to do with a contest that was going on awhile back where the listeners were asked to send in a recording of how an Odyssey character inspired them and the winners would be able to hear themselves in an episode. Something in the back of my brain is saying that they were supposed to talk about Connie, but I'm not one hundred percent certain.

I did!
I have way too much schoolwork, which is why it took me awhile to get back on here. But the first episode of the new season airs Saturday!!
Why is the new episode still not up? Is it working on the whitsend.org for anyone?
I'm not happy, Bob. Not happy.
