Yes, Lu-- I've got a blog for my character Terry right here: www.terrythepunchingbag.blogspot.com
He's a story character, though, rather than from a script. It's really interesting to give characters a day to day perspective on life! I think that blogposts really help with characterization, which in turn helps with knowing how your character talks.
"Let the music cast its spell,
give the atmosphere a chance.
Simply follow where I lead;
let me teach you how to dance."
I asked my dad if I could have a real blog for my characters but he asked me if I couldn't just use MW. I suppose poeple just don't understand how us writers are sometimes...

A character blog...what an interesting idea! I may try writing snippets of one (in Word) for my characters over the next week or so.
I'm supposed to be finishing my character questionnaires...
It's not quite the same thing, but my earliest character bios were variations of the Ditto Town profiles for role-play/story characters. Those might be helpful to writers in this thread as they develop their characters.
I've been reading about the differences between scripts and stories - one being that (for TV shows anyway), each act should/must end in a sort of cliffhanger, so people will be willing to sit through the commercial break to see what happens next.
One of the main events of my NaNo story is a near-fatal attack on the main character's family; it comes partway through the story. In adapting it as a potential script I'm tempted to open with that event - to put it in the teaser. Doing something so extreme to a main character might be a way to get people to keep watching.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
Good idea about the Ditto Town profiles. Might have to try that.
About the blog idea, I got it from the Screnzy website.
I am glad that I'm not writing a TV series 'cause I'd probably run out of ideas- both for the shows themselves and for the cliffhangers.

*edit* Thank you, thank you stargazer!! This is SO much easier to fill out, in my opinion!!

That extreme thing is called a hook, Gazer! Most films have hooks in the beginning. It doesn't have to be something frightening, but it's usually something out of the ordinary, weird, strange, or just interesting so that the viewer is intrigued and wants to watch more. I just learned about them.

It's started!!!
But I didn't start yet!!! I got to distracted by all of the NW April Foolsness... I'm starting right now!
"The mountains are calling and I must go, and I will work on while I can, studying incessantly." -John Muir
"Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed." -Richard Adams, Watership Down
Well, well. I'd nearly forgotten that NW normally has a thread about Screnzy. Everything so far has been falling into place for me. I got four pages written yesterday and four more today. So far my characters have been behaving and though I haven't fully outlines the entire story, I feel like I have enough scenes floating around in my head.
So my story is way different from my script last year. It's a high school drama centered around a Christian girl who is struggling to keep her convictions in a California school. There's a bit of a love triangle square? yeah, it's confusing. But I have really fun characters and none of the killing and war that my last script had. It's going to be a fun month!
I was so excited yesterday about starting that I had butterflies in my stomach! hehe
So for anyone that wants to friend me, I'm princess_of_narnia there as well. Happy writing all!

I did my four yesterday but not today yet. I will be glad to friend you, princess_of_narnia.
Your story sounds like it's going to be great!

So four a day is the magic number? Well for me its going to have to be a bit different since I usually only have time to write on the weekends...
Oh college!

"Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed." -Richard Adams, Watership Down
Well 4 pages a day times 25 days is 100- what I need- and I figured to take Sundays off, so that's about what I have to do. I need to do extra on some days because I have a few things coming up in April where I might like the day off.

Ok so there's 5 weeks in April, which means I need to do about 20 pages a week However I should be able to write on at least two days a week (that's 10 pages still!) But I missed yeaterday so I'll have to do like eight today, and I mights still be able to get some done on the weekdays, however... I also have a ten page paper due May 6, another 6-8 pger do at the end of April, plus what will likely be a ten pager due the second week of May. That's nearly 130 pages!!! (Guess I'm not working on my short stories this month )

Actually, in my opinion, the pages do not talk nearly as long to write as, say, a page of a NaNo novel. The hard part (surprisingly) was me getting started. Then I managed. Oddly enough, though, I'm extremely bored. I thought I'd be champing at the bit to write, but it seems as soon as April first came around I had to force myself to write and 'get it over with'...odd, isn't it?

So I kinda sorta thought about doing ScriptFrenzy... But I don't have any ideas. And I'll be -3 days on Monday, which is when I would start. And blah blah blah. If I come up with something in the next 24 hours maybe I'll try... But I've never written a script before... [Duh] 😉

April 2, and I'm already 6.66 pages behind. (That is, I haven't started yet). And it may be a few more days before I really get into it.
Another option is to join the "Rebels" and write something else instead, such as finishing my current project, my NaNo sequel.
Still, I have a few ideas for adapting the original story into a script, and may try it next week, if only to broaden my writing horizons a bit - I've never written a script before.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
I'm telling you, it's easier (IMO)!
I'm taking the day off from Screnzy, but maybe I can do fifty pages on Monday. Okay, maybe just a few extra...
