My wife and I saw About Time this past weekend. IMDb page is here:

We loved the movie. I'm not too good with reviews, but I recommend you all check it out. It's rated R, (USA), but that's a very soft R, I'd have gone PG13 only. The rating is because of some minor language and partial nudity. The story is about relationships and life, enjoy it... and enjoy it one day at a time. Just check out the trailer, as I said- I'm no good for reviews.
Saw Thor 2 the other day, and must admit I was impressed. The acting was I believe better than the original, with the characters much more believable.
The action was not overbearing, and allowed for an actual story.
There were even some moments where a bit of humor was thrown in to lighten things up. How the director was able to fit some into the final battle scene was perfect.
Anybody else going to a midnight showing of Catching Fire tonight? I am going with some friends, and am super super excited

I've seen quite a few films in theater over the past few weeks.
Gravity: This is probably the best film I've seen this year! It's hard to describe just how beautiful the cinematography and direction were. The pacing is also amazing. You are on the edge of your seat for the entire film. If you haven't seen it yet I highly recommend seeing it theaters before it leaves.
Ender's Game: This was a decent adaptation. But it had the near fatal flaw of being extremely rushed. It would have benefited greatly from and extra half hour to explore Card's rich world and characters. But instead for some reason it just rushes at breaknick speed through the story. But otherwise it's a fairly good film. The acting is great all around especially from Asa Butterfield. And the direction and visual style are also very good.
Thor: The Dark World: This sequel was inferior to the first in my opinion. The characters and plot were sacrificed for humor and cool action scenes. But it is a very enjoyable film nonetheless. Loki is Hilarious as always and the action sequences are pretty good. But it is rather inconsequential in the end.
My goodness! Catching Fire was fantastic. . . . It was the best book to movie adaptation I've ever seen. The cinematography was incredible. The characterization and acting was fantastic. The cast was perfect. There were several moments when my heart was pounding, and my fists were clenching the seats.
It was incredible. . . like there aren't enough words for me to describe the awesomeness of this film.

Excited to see Catching Fire but might just wait for it to come out.
The only current movie I've been to see was Thor 2 with a friend. I wasn't initially thrilled to go see it, and I wasn't sure that I would think. I'm not a big fan of Thor himself.
However, after a big roller coaster of emotions throughout the film, I came to the conclusion that I really liked it. I thought the characters were deeper, Thor was more likeable, and Loki was as confusing and hilarious as ever.

I completely agree with you DiGoRyKiRkE on Catching Fire : probably one of the greatest book to film adaptations I have ever seen.
The pace was perfect, lots going on, but it never felt rushed (The Hunger Games seemed to just rush the end). Everything from the first film, I felt, was improved in the sequel - the acting, the cinematography, the CGI, pacing, everything. I definitely enjoyed this one over the first film (though, I enjoyed the first book more than the sequel, go figure).
As has been said, awesome film - definitely earning it's four stars.

After Tangled and Wreck It Ralph I was rather disappointed with Frozen. It felt very rushed and the characters while fun and lively are very flat and underdeveloped. It really felt like they rushed through the script without taking time to develop it. But it's not awful. The characters are really fun. The animation is beautiful. And it's pretty funny. But it just feels rushed and underdeveloped.
I saw Thor 2 last night, and I loved it.
I was so sad when Frigga died. The funeral reminded me of Boromir's. I was also sad when Loki died--and then irritated when he's not really dead.
I liked the convergence, too. I wonder what happens to that ice-monster? And Stan Lee's cameo is hilarious.

Just watched The Hunger Games: Catching Fire with a few friends. Wow. I found it to be much better than the first movie in almost every way (save for the initial Cornucopia scene) and a huge improvement on the second book, upon which this movie is based. The story is more focused and trimmed of its fat. For the most part, the acting is very good, as is the cinematography. There are huge action pieces and more intimate, heartfelt scenes - both are well-executed and do much to develop the main characters. All in all, Catching Fire is a high quality movie and a powerfully disturbing social commentary for our time.
Warning: Rated M. Contains - moderate violence and some disturbing imagery.

I don't think I'm going to watch Catching Fire, I didn't like the book, so I don't think I'll care for the movie very much, even if it is well made Glad for all those who loved it
I REALLY want to see Frozen, but no wants to go with me to see it, every time I bring it up they're lilke 'awwww, nah' And I mean, who goes to watch movies alone? I hope I'll be able to make it work, but it doesn't seem very positive so far. I do have a plan in trying to make my older sister go with me and I might be able to pull it off

Who goes to watch movies alone? Plenty of people. I've done it a couple times. It works better for some genres than others. Comedy for example, works better with company (friends, family - whatever). Horror works better on your own.

I've gone solo but I was afraid (at the time) that people would look at me as some sort of social outcast and go, "aww...poor guy" when I walked in solo. Rose, Catching fire was my least favorite of the trilogy as well (way too much teenagey romance nonsense) but they really condensed it and made a great movie out of it. If you don't like the books then there's nothing lost by not seeing it, but if you do like them you may want to give this one an honest shot. I was very pleasantly surprised!

I just saw Catching Fire and it was amazing. Johanna was perfect, Haymitch was funny, Effie's clothes were hilarious, and Snow was creepy. Particularly with his grandchild.

I'm pretty sure that a lot of people do go to the movies alone, it's just going to the movies isn't something that I can treat myself to very often, so if I do make up my mind to go, I'd like to have someone to enjoy it with.
But there is good news, it looks like I'll be able to see Frozen after all, my older sister was interested when I suggest that we go, and then De said we could go the three of us. We've just got to try and find time in the midst of our busy schedual
