Yeah, I heard Dark of the Moon described as grammatically incorrect, too. :P

One of my favorite reviewers reviewed that movie here: http://decentfilms.com/reviews/transformers3

I'm not inclined to see it. Besides the fact that I really don't like Michael Bay films due to the ridiculously out of proportion action sequences and sexual elements, the fact that he uses battles to blatantly smash important national monuments is just disrespectful. I don't care if it's the bad guys or good guys doing it-- you don't go there.

I'm also not inclined to see Transformers 3, only because I disliked the first and absolutely hated the second. I don't see myself enjoying this one. I'm not a Michael Bay fan, but exploding national monuments doesn't bother me in the slightest. He's not the only one to do it either, I've seen other directors do it as well. :)

@Warrior 4 Jesus: It is really great fun!
It is way more mature film then the first two in my opinion!
It was a really great movie! :D

I agree with you about the sexual elements, I think in my opinion Bay toned it way down from Revenge of the Fallen.
There was only one scene I could have done without.

The action sequences are just amazing, filming in 3D actually forced Bay to back the camera up on the battle sequences, which in my opinion was for the better.
The action isn't pointless either, the Decepticons are way more of a serious threat in this one.
The visuals are just mind blowing! :D But if you don't like action, then I can understand why you wouldn't want to see it. :)

And what the reviewer said about Buzz Aldrin, I wasn't focused on Optimus. When Buzz Aldrin is introduced to Optimus Prime, Buzz Aldrin says "As a fellow space traveler it is an honor" to which Optimus replies " The Honor is mine".
I was focus on what Buzz Aldrin had to say because it was important to the story.

And I know why the Trump tower wasn't destroyed, but if I told you it would be a spoiler. ;)
I agree with narnian1 about Lincoln’s chair, it's not the first time it has been done in movies.
Megatron actually did the same thing in the original 80's Transformers cartoon which is why I think they did it. ;)

@narnian1: Yeah if you didn't enjoy the first one, I'm not sure you would like this one. Of course that depends what you disliked about the first one. ;)

I'm interested to see both Super8 and Transformers 3, though I'll wait and watch them on DVD. Cheaper, easier to skip anything, broke college student, etc. :P

I'm actually more interest in Super8 than Bay's film. Since I've been hearing good things about it both here and on movie review sites, I'm eager to see it. :)

On the whole monument destroying thing: It doesn't bother me in the least. Granted, I grew up watching 1950's and 1960's monster films, so destroying national monuments of any country was essential and part of the course. :P

I haven't seen the new Transformers movie yet (but I plan to), so I'm not sure how its subtitle fits, but...

Dark of the Moon, even if grammatically questionable, is a real astronomical phrase. It refers to that week or so around new moon, when the moon is effectively out of the night sky. An example of its use might be "Dim comets are best seen during the dark of the moon."

Anyway, I finally caught Kung Fu Panda 2 at a matinee yesterday. It was a fun popcorn movie, nicely choreographed with all the kung fu action and some touching background on Po's childhood, but I haven't decided yet whether I like it better than the first one or not (that one had the advantage of it being a new concept).

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

7chronicles,
it's basically the story that I haven't enjoyed. I also hated the use of the female character for sexual scenes. One thing gotta give it though, the visuals are excellent! But I don't see movies just for visuals- the story needs to be at least interesting, (like Avatar- cliche'd but good)

@stargazer: Yeah the title definitely fits into the plot. ;) Hope you enjoy the movie! :)

@narnian1: I totally agree with you about useing the female charater for sexual scenes, I don't like when any film uses that, as a girl, the disregard drives me crazy (hope I worded that right).
I must say though, in my opinion I think Transformers: Dark of the Moon has a much better female character that I felt wasn't put there just for visual sake. She actually felt like a character to me.
A much better character then Megan Fox in the other two movies.
There are a few close up shots 8-| (in the opening scene mostly) but I do feel overall it was toned down from both the first and second movie.
As far as the story goes, like I said its far better then the first movie! :)
I felt much more invested in the characters and the plot.
The story I felt was deeper then the first two.
And I personally felt the story was more original then Avatar, but maybe thats just me. :) I could tell you more about the story, but that would give it away.
If you don't plan on seeing it in theaters, I would at least recommend watching it on DVD! :)

I saw Cars 2 last night... LOVE! Not nostalgic like the first movie, but unique plot. Good characters. Love the story! Good lesson learned on many parts. :D

I don't know for what film to go. Well, last HP movie is in 9 days' time but I'm afraid it's not a film for us. I'm 11 and I saw the trailer. All films that are now don't seem like good; rather action.

Lucy:Do you remember who really defeated the White Witch?
Peter: Yes.
Susan:No.
Lucy:Do you both believe in Narnia?
Narnians, Caspian and Edmund:We believe.
Susan and Peter:Shut up.

I gotta say, the new TV spots for "Winnie the Pooh" are hilarious. Very clever marketing strategy.

Hahaha yeah I saw those Pooh trailers on their facebook page and thought it was just so cute...

Bridesmaids was pretty good. It's definitely not the most family friendly movie because it has a lot of language and stuff (I heard it described as the hangover for girls), but other than that it's a really funny movie.

I just wanted to see it because Chris O'Dowd is in it. Thats the main reasons i go see movies because an actor is in it that i like.

Oh yeah, his performance was pretty good, and I enjoyed it.... although I did start to wonder what a guy with such a strong Irish accent was doing in the midwest ;))
