Haha, I think you meant "monkey," W4J. I don't recall much money at all in Toy Story 3, whether funny or creepy. (Funny money! )
On IMDB it is listed as the number 3 greatest movie of all time
This annoys me about IMDb. The best movie of the year is automatically one of the ten best movies of all time. *wishes people wouldn't get so caught up on novelty*
That said, I do want to see Inception. Nolan isn't a favorite director of mine, but he seems to consistently turn out solid movies that make you think.

Sorry, yes, I meant 'monkey', not 'money'. Although money can be pretty scary if you have a lot of it. Then you become paranoid like the monkey in Toy Story 3.
Meh. IMDB is an important movie website but it's not the best judge of the quality of a movie. The top movies usually include The Godfather or Shawshank Redemption. Sure, those movies were very good but some of the best movies ever? I don't think so.

When it comes to IMDb, I agree to a degree. I like the list and reference it a lot, but by no means does it reflect my taste in general- though many of my favorites do appear on the list.
Shawshank was good, but NOT #1. Not by a long shot. Godfather, I honestly couldn't even finish the movie I didn't like it.
As for Inception, well the list shouldn't be considered as "Best of all time", but more as in Most popular movie. That said, I still think IMDb should wait at least 6 months before a movie is even considered to be put on the list- therefore avoiding these new movies rushing to the top spots.
Although, if the Top 10 has the movies it has, then yes I think Inception is worth being among them, only it's too soon to be listed. (Not contradicting myself, at least I don't mean to).
I would never put a movie that is still in theaters in the All-time best movie list. It's too new. At the very least, it needs to sit a year. I've heard good reports about Inception as well, but out of Nolan's films, I haven't heard anything about it being better than Dark Knight.
I'm looking at going to the theater tomorrow as I will have several hours to kill. With what is playing at theaters I can get to, I'm looking at Socerer's Apprentice. I'm not expecting much out of it in terms of being a great film, but I would be more interested in seeing that as a for fun time-killer than Inception. I'm just not in the mood for a deep thinker right now and I would need to go into Inception prepared for that type of film. I don't want to do that now. I'll give my review upon my return.
Be watching for the release of my spiritual warfare novel under a new title: "Call to Arms" by OakTara Publishing. A sequel (title TBD) will shortly follow.
I saw Sorcerer's Apprentice and thought it was quite fun. I really, really enjoyed it. It had more humor than I thought it would, as the character of David was just so adorakble. The special effects were well done, I thought, and the story was pretty good, if a little bit predictable.
There's even a small homage to the original Sorcerer's Apprentice from the movie Fantasia, which I thought was hilarious and really neat.
So, not as awe-inspiring as Inception, but still a really good and fun movie, IMO.
P.S."Brooklyn!"
Rising_Star,
How's Nicholas Cage in it? He's really hit or miss for me. I used to like him in City of Angels thought not anymore. I currently only like him in the two National Treasures movies.
He's part of the reason I don't want to see the movie. But I can always rent it later if he's not so bad.
Ahh - Inception! Such a good film, definitely the best of the year so far (I’m seeing Toy Story tomorrow, so that could potentially change, although probably not – that is how much I enjoyed it). You could draw parallels to Shutter Island, especially with Leonardo DiCaprio and his character, but I don’t think they’re anything to linger on. The
I don’t think anyone should be worried about having to ‘think’ while watching it - it’s not that confusing if you just go along with it. I mean, if you spend the entire film talking to your neighbour or if you make an ill-timed toilet break then you could be doomed, but that could be said of many films couldn’t it?
Joseph Gordon-Levitt was very good. If those Riddler-rumours turn out to be true then I’d be happy. I’m glad his careers on the up, I’ve only ever seen him in (500) Days of Summer (a must see!) and, have any of you seen Brick? A very strange film, but he’s very good in it.
Also – Tom Hardy!! I love him. Love him. If most of you live in America then perhaps you wouldn’t have seen him in much, but he’s done a lot of high-quality TV Drama. He was Heathcliff and Bill Sykes. He’s also very impressive in Bronson – although that is a very violent film (it’s an 18), so beware of that if you’re thinking of checking it out. Lots of nudity too come to think of it.
Anywho – I think I should get some sort of commission, the amount of plugging I’ve done on other peoples behalf here! Inception = great film, I just hope Toy Story can do as well!
Oh dear. I hope it's not Joseph Gordon-Levitt as the Riddler. He looks a LOT like Heath Ledger to me, and personally, I would be mildly creeped out by him as the next Batman villain. But maybe that's the effect they're going for?
I'm going to see if I can see Ramona and Beezus in theatres. It looks really good and funny, and I'm in the mood for a light-hearted movie. Has anyone here seen it?

I saw toy story 3 and it was so awesome. (Though I thought that the monkey was creepy) It even made me cry, which I rarely do during movies.
I haven't seen Inception, but it seems that it is getting very good reviews.
I'm probably going to go with a good friend to Ramona and Beezus. It looks so good. Except I'm not sure about Selena Gomez playing Beezus...
May the force be with you!
I LOVE Pixar & Disneyland!!!!
I saw Inception last night and I thought it was really really great. It was such a brilliant premise and it was so deftly handled. It was intelligent without leaving the audience in a dejected muddle. The cast was excellent. My only criticism was that it lacked a substantial emotional heart. I know they were trying to do that with Mal and Dom, but I didn't find DiCaprio that emotional (this was actually the first film I've seen him in!) I realized when
I agree with equustel.
Booky:
Claire: I saw Tom Hardy in Wuthering Heights and I was very impressed by him. I think he could be a really really great actor (well, I actually think he already is, but that he could be very well respected/popular).
oh no! I don't think there is any resemblance between Ellen Page, (also did Juno and Kitty Pride in X-Men: The Last Stand) and Anna Popplewell.
What'd you think of Inception though?

Maybe it's just her in this film then, because she looked so much like her here. (Have you seen Inception yet? I couldn't really tell from your posts on this page) And my brother agreed with me.. haha. Maybe I'm crazy though!
I really enjoyed it. I was confused in several parts but I expected to be a lot more confused after hearing some of my friends say they went back twice, 3 times, even 4 times to see it because they missed so much.
I saw it twice, I abduty loved it!! I would hide that bit about the endi g though, some people might find it spoilerish- though I can't agree with it 100% myself actually.
Granted I haven't seen Ellen Page in Inception yet, but in the movies I've previously seen her in, she looks nothing like Anna Popplewell. Not the slightest. They're both young women, that's it.
