I love watching series at DVD/VCR (yes, my sis has got VCR). Now I just noticed that my collection of DVDs that I watch on my computer is very small. Trollz, Little Nicholas, Wall-E, Shrek Forever After and CoN.

Lucy:Do you remember who really defeated the White Witch?
Peter: Yes.
Susan:No.
Lucy:Do you both believe in Narnia?
Narnians, Caspian and Edmund:We believe.
Susan and Peter:Shut up.

Saw The King's Speech the other day. I have a connection to the film in that I also stutter/stammer. From what I saw the cause for me is different, and I don't have such a emotional attachment to my stuttering. It frustrates me but it doesn't embarress me as it did for King George VI. Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush were excellent in the film. I do warn that it does contain some language, but it is one of the few films I can appreciate the language. The reason is that it is not used just to have it in there but for a reason. It's a really good movie and worthy of the nominations and awards it received.

Be watching for the release of my spiritual warfare novel under a new title: "Call to Arms" by OakTara Publishing. A sequel (title TBD) will shortly follow.

I have never been a fan of Harry Potter. this is not because I think it's evil...I just never got into it. well, I was babysitting some kids last night and we watched "Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets". I had never seen any of the movies or read any of the books, but I know a tiny bit about the first story so I wasn't totally lost. and anyway, you have to be deaf dumb and blind not to know something about Harry Potter :P just kidding :P :P
so anyway, having seen the movie, I wasn't totally impressed. I mean, it was well made and well acted. the plot made sense. but I have to say, I am curious as to how Ron Weasily acts in later books/movies because I thought he was a bit of a wimp. I mean, he freaks out like the whole movie. :P but I still like Ron.
and the flying car thing was sort of redundant after a while because they have that whole sequence in the beginning with the blue car and then later when they are saved by the brown car in the den of spiders. where did that car come from anyway? :P and that spider scene had my skin crawling after seeing it :P
all in all - not a bad movie. I might want to see other Harry Potter movies, but I am definitely not a Harry Potter geek/fan-person (whatever Harry Potter fans are called :P )
I'm actually glad that I now know where Voldemort originates.....I never knew before :P

so there's my two cents about Harry Potter :P

I recently watched that movie too. I enjoyed most of it and thought Geoffrey rush's character was brilliant. I like it how he treated the king like a normal person not like everyone else treats royals.

Actually it's the same car. ;)) It probably just looked brown cuz it's covered in dirt and stuff and it was dark. If you remember, when the Weasley's flying car landed in the courtyard after almost getting smashed by the Whomping Willow, it pushed Harry and Ron and their things out of itself and then drove off into the forest. Apparently it stayed there and then came back to save them when they were being attacked by the spiders. ;))

I hope that cleared things up a bit.

And while the first few movies are okay, I really think the movie-making quality went up and yes, Ron does get better and braver. ;))

yes, movie quality improves a LOT! Also, it must be noted that first few movies make Ron look more like a wimp than the books. In the books he gets scared too, but he is much braver. It's one thing I don't like from the movies, toning down Ron's role. ;)

Beauty and the Beast (IMDb Top 250- #250)

IMDb's Top 250. This is a movie that I really love, always have an I assume I always will too. I remember when I was a kid, I would play this all day everyday, and that was in the days of VHS when you had to rewind a movie, (unlike now... a click and repeat is already on). The story is just great, and fun to watch. Beast's transformation was always the reason I loved it, and the songs of course. Such beautiful songs.

This keeps its rating of 10/10 from me

Winner of 2 Academy Awards, and another 4 nominations:

Best Original Song- Beauty and the Beast (Win)

Best Original Songs:

Avatar (IMDb Top 250- #182)

Though the story isn't original, I really like this movie. I might feel overlong at times but hey, the world is beautiful. If one thing I have to say that I love- it's the world Cameron created. When I saw this in theaters I was simply blown away (3D). Yes, it lacks originality as far as the story goes but I can forgive it because it was at least done in a unique way IMO. The world of Pandora is so beautiful, and I can't wait to visit it again...

This keeps its rating of 8/10 from me

I discovered an old Disney channel original movie called "Jumping Ship" starring Joey Lawrence, Matthew Lawrence, and Andrew Lawrence. it's really funny and really epic :D

I watched Disney's Hercules for the first time. I enjoyed it but they really messed with the original Greek mythology to make it child-friendly. Hercules was a bore, Meg was interesting enough. I really enjoyed Hades as a character. Despite it's 90min length the movie felt too short and as though it needed more story. All in all, a decent movie.

I also watched Disney's The Emperor's New Groove. The first time I saw it I didn't like it much (I thought it was too different from Disney's other movies). But this time 'round, I really enjoyed it. A nice change of pace.

Currently watching:
Doctor Who - Season 11

Anyone ever seen any clean movies with Liam Neeson in it? I take it Taken has to much junk in it, seen Star Wars, saw the A Team, but that had some things as well. UGH... [-(

And I'd LOVE to see Schindler's List!

And has anyone ever seen Penelope? Is it clean?

If I remember correctly Penelope was pretty much clean except for one or two crude jokes (that would go over the heads of younger kids anyway). If you want specfics, I think pluggedin writes a review about it.

Hey, guys!

First things first... comments on existing conversations:

Libby- Did you know that Jumping Ship is actually a sequel to another DCOM, starring Joey and Andrew, called Horse Sense? Since you liked the second one, you might want to look into the first. I just thought I'd give you a heads up, in case you didn't already know of it. :)

Re Harry Potter:
To be fair to Ron, you jumped in at one of his worst moments. And keep in mind that he's still just a kid at this point, who is TERRIFIED of spiders. Trust me, if I was in his position I'd be whining and freaking out the whole time too... I'm just as scared of them. He might not be an action type guy like Harry or Draco, but his heart is always in the right place... and he's extremely loyal. And if you'd prefer to see one of his finest moments... check out the end of the first film. Now THAT was brave. ;) (sorry, Ron is my fave member of the trio. so I get protective sometimes. ;)) )

..............................
ANYWAY, last night (thanks to DVR recording it a couple weeks ago) I finally got to see X-Men: The Last Stand! Now all I have to do is see the Wolverine one and the new one, and I'll be totally caught up! :D

I have to say, this one did make me get emotional. I'd say more, but 1) I don't want to spoil it for those who want to see it and haven't and 2) I don't know quite how to word the rest of my reaction anyway. (besides, I saw it late at night, so part of my confusion could have been because of that)

Next up to see thanks to DVR? The original Tron! (which means I'll get to see the new one soon too... seeing as I wanted to see the the old one first)

Ok, happy viewing of your movies, guys!

Princess Anna: yes, I actually found that out after watching "Jumping Ship" :D I am going to watch "Horse Sense" next :D better late than never :P

:D I had a feeling that this wasn't Ron's best HP movie because he's Harry's best friend ;) I am definitely giving him a second chance :D

AslansChild: clean Liam Neeson movies? the only movie I gave seen him in besides Narnia is "Les Miserables" (movie, 1997). if you like Les Miserables at all, or if you've never seen Les Miserables, it's a really cool movie :D :D
