Fie, fie upon these vain and fiendish attempts to sway the Truth and Loyalty of this Good Order! There have long been Battles between the inhabitants of the Monastery and those Outside -- forsooth, 'tis part of the long and glorious history of this place -- but actual attempts to spoiler us are shallow and underhanded.

So bring thee thy arrows, thee raiders and curs! We shall defend these sacred walles!

The Grace of St. Euphineas and the Spoiler-Free Monastery extend to all, o Liberty. Forsooth, we care not if thou dost occasionally barge in and create a small ruckus. Doth bring distraction to the life of Meditation.

Mayhap I shall append a few lines to the Chronicle over this Small Ordeal.

I wasn't trying to attack the monestary, I was trying to correct a point made by GtG, so that if anyone falls and reads, they'd at least get the correction. But please do not read the spoilers if you do not want to. I'm a pilgrim by the way, not a minion of Loesrm. My apologies if I offended anyone, it shalt not happen again. Perhaps I should have referenced it elsewhere (ie. a pm, or in loesrm, or the middleway.) I did not mean to attack anyone with spoilers.

So the Legion of the Spoiled Rotten hath attacked the holy Order of the Spoiler Free Monastery. But it availeth nothing. I saw the army of the Empire march into the Order's territory and the blitz they hath prepared. They shoot fiery darts of Spoilers, but they knoweth not that water-soaked, leather-covered shields extinquisheth the fiery dart. For this is the same tactic that the famed author Paul spoke of in his blessed letter to the church of Ephesus.

Instead of merely directing mine army from the battlements, I led in the battle. The seige towers of the Spoiler marched upon our walls. But our beloved wisewoman art not only wise in her duties, she art wise in the strategy as well. She hath ordered that we launch dozens of oil filled clay jars upon the towers but not to light them. As the towers closed, one fire arrow was all it took to burn them all down.

I then led the infantry to rout the Spoilers. They sent many arrow at me, but I wast amazed at the weakness of the Spoiler bows. The arrows that did have the range, had not any accuracy. I could watch each arrow come and calmly step to the side. For I hath skill doing this with the paintball. As wisewoman covered my with archers, the Order hath once again routed the Spoiled Rotten assault.

I also hath found it very interesting. Ast I spied upon the Spoiled Rotten, taking caution to listen to their battle strategy but not the Spoilers of which they spoke of, they made a boast that because they hath more posts than we of the Order, that they were superior. I found that preposterous. For many of the posts I hath seen not only hath nothing to do with Spoilers which defeats thier purpose, their posts art short and of little value. The posts here however art most glorious as we declare what our vows are, how we hath succeeded in fullfilling our vows, or how we needed to repent of our shortcommings. So the argument of the Spoiler of having more posts than us here is yet another vain attempt to demonstrate their value. And for the record, I compareth not between post count. For as we know, fewer and higher quality shalt always defeat many and low quality. The Spoiler-Free shalt alway survive and shalt always be there at the end. And when the viewing of the film arriveth, we shalt have the best enjoyment of the film.

Be watching for the release of my spiritual warfare novel under a new title: "Call to Arms" by OakTara Publishing. A sequel (title TBD) will shortly follow.

*Waveth welcome to Ruby of the Gamgee Clan and the Most Esteemed Chronicler* :)

In sooth, thy lamentations art well understood, Speaker of Symbolism. Verily, a goodly deal of mine reasoning for seeking refuge within the Monastery is the fear that if I do not turn mine eyes away from such spoilers that maketh me feel so ill, I shall not be able to force myself to enter a theater at all when the tenth of December cometh. :-s

*Ears perketh at the mention of questing* :D I hath hoped there would be questing this year. Verily, it was but a few of moons ago I was reading the Illuminating Loremaster's account of The Quest for the Holy Jug of St. Euphineas on Ye Narnia Writer's Gilde, and wondering if any quest before or after could possibly eclipse such an enterprise. =))

*Sweeps the abhominable (with an H) Spoilers into a dustpan, and empties it into the trough in the pasture of the billy goats, who wilt eat anything* /:)

It greatly amuseth me that though the Spoiled Rotten often boast of their ten thousand dish buffet and comfy chairs, they art always sneaking over here. :p

*Restrings bow and begins to attach feathers to rose thorn-tipped arrows shouldst the Rotten ever lay siege to the Monastery again* :-w

Ahh I see. Mine was based on some other reports, perhaps that should be added to the conficting spoilers thread. My apologies for misinterpreting that. (Love your sig by the way :) )

Anyway, Greetings knights/ monks etc. I pray I've abstained enough from posting spoilers here so that I may not have tempted you. *Realizes she needs to work more on exotic/ ancient/ wolf dialect...*

Be warned I fear the Dark Lord and his followers may be planning another attack...

Storm of Glens Who-Reaveleth-Thyself-to-be-Not-So-Great, methought thou wast once an inhabitante of these faire walles. Wast not, before the last? This is a sad treacherie indeed, and mine heart doth weep for thee. :(( (As, perforce, doth mine eyne.)

*Ears perketh at the mention of questing* :D I hath hoped there would be questing this year. Yea, and hence ye know I didst have a part in that faire and glourious Avventure. Certes, shalt be passing burdensome to equal the First Venture, howe'er, is't not a part of a Queste that we must go up against Oddes Unconquerable? Is't not this much the same?

'Twould be a merry thing if wast able to persuade the Loremaster and others to rejoing us. Shouldst look in to the matter.

...

Methinks I didst dream of St. Euphineas' toenail afore I woke this morne. Mayhap we couldst queste for That.

Speaker of Symbolism and Much Wisdom, I also hath heard a dark rumour of said news story which hath brought much heaviness of heart. Allow me to offer thee what support I may; and I prithee, remind us often of this straight and narrow way (not to be confused with the Middle Way) wherein we walk.

For myself, I confess a morbid sort of curiosity, but I stand firm in the belief that Spoilers do not clear away any great mystery but enhance confusion. The Way of the Spoiler dost not offer any great joy.

*picks her way around ye olde Spoilers on the floor, averting her eyes from the black pits where text shouldst be*

Whereas, we of the Spoiler Free--we may turn our thoughts to such matters as questing and raise our spirits by venturing out with good comrades as the Chronicler hast suggested. Lady Wanderer I, I shouldst very much enjoy a good quest, though it happen that I may feel myself only a small rag-tag, baggage to be brought hither and thither and claimed by those of the Wise...

I account myself ready to start at any moment! :)

Shalt we go on a quest, sayest thou? How joyous a day, when we might quest for truth and the Holy Grail, and things suchlike!

I had an official title, methinks, but it has long since become muddled within my mind.

Be-eth it the Scribe and Esteemed Chronicler of the Most Holy Order? Or is it that I am merely repeating an other title of one of our other enlightened members? Prithee, tell me!

Simply follow where I lead;

The Quest for the Holy Toenail? =)) And I, too, shalt pledge mine assistance in this noble endeavor and help in whatever way I can, tagalong though I may be. In sooth, however, I may well be of little use when the next month dawns, for I am also to embarketh on a quest to find fifty thousand words for thirty one days and nights. But if I can but still will mine fingers to type, I shalt remain stalwart!

Chronicler, that wouldst be a merry thing indeed! I must see if I can lay mine hands on my autograph scroll. . . . :D

Sweeet, thy title wast Inspirational Dramatist and Scroll Scripter of the Order. I know this not because I hath a ridiculously long memory, but because I spendeth too much time in the sacred chamber where the Blessed Records are kept, and am only too eager to refer back to them. ;))

Who art St. Euphineas? And what be questing? Verily, those art two of mine favorite Monasterial topics! :D

*vanishes into the sacred chamber of Blessed Records*

*stumbles back in about an hour later, arms laden with scrolls*

Well, that tooketh a little doing, but I hath found it! :D/ Thou can find a complete history of St. Euphineas here, written by the Fan of Fauns himself, who first brought the blessed news of St. Euphineas and his goodly wisdom in the year of our Lord 2008.

As for the noble venture that art questing, I believe it to be what some might calleth an in-depth roleplay, scribed in the form of journal entries. If ye wouldst like to clap thine eyes on questing in action, thou can find it on the scrolls that speakest of the Monastery 2.0, wherein it beginneth on page 56, and concludeth on page 71.

(Do not ask me why the scrolls hath pages, for verily, I am not enlightened enough to know of the answer. ;)) )

*Notices there art people staring*

. . . Me, obsesseth over the Monastery overmuch? I am but fond of reading, 'tis all. :p
