Thy welcome is received with much joy, Dryad of the Rose Tree. I thank thee for thy kindness.
Truly, war canst not be far. The very thought maketh mine heart sad, for many are my friends who hath chosen spoiledness. I fear I have not much skill for battle, but I shall fight with the fullness of mine strength.

Though we speakth the ancient tongue, we can'st expect all the members of the Order to speak it. For our only membership requirement tis thy vow and thy vow alone. Thou art most welcome winterlife whether thou are able to speak the tongue or not.
The eating contest wast most certainly fun. It was a brilliant strategy that the nerd nor his evil Dark Lord wouldst have recognized. It kept him here in the Monastery longer, and therefore kept him away from the poisonous Spoiler he so desperately sought. It also kept him from being tempting us with the Spoiler. Twas only when he realized what I was doing that he fled and left that dirty bomb of a link on our beloved topic.
Those willing to fight shalt be most welcome, but know that war shalt not take place unless the vile Spoiled Rotten Empire bringith it. But as the monks of China were peaceful monks, they weret fully capable of full out battle. So shall it be with us. Mine skills with a blade, and my ability to feed my belly, art just a few of mine skills. I art also a battle strategist. Many who hath known me in the days leading up to the glorious first two films, knoweth of the depictions of the battle scence that I saw how they shouldst be. Mine skills hath only improved in the time since. These skills shalt also be seen in the anticipation of the releasals of the later films Horse and His Boy and The Last Battle[i/]. If the rumors of war shalt increase, I shalt prepare my strategy for battle.

I come to you spoiler-free holy saints on bended knee, confessing mine sins and past addictions to spoilers.
Not really. But hey, this thread looks like fun. And abstaining from all Narnia spoilers until you-know-what comes out in theaters sounds like it would be exciting for a change! I managed to keep myself from spoilers when the first movie came out and I think it was most enjoyable because of that.
But on the other hand, here on NarniaWeb where people are always blabbing about the latest spoilers, and plastering the latest Narnia production photos all over the graphics forums, 'tis hard to keep mine eyes from wandering and wondering about what lies ahead.
So...out of curiosity, how does one join this ordination??

Peaks head in…
Well Miss Gamgee, you just request to join and they basically let you in. They always need more ignorant people to drink of their disgusting coffee and to raise their ever lessening ranks. They would never turn you down.
What? She asked!
Peaks head out
If you ain't first, you're last.
If our coffee is disgusting, why doest thou seek to drink it? But he hath spoken the truth. We hath no requirements to join. If thou so desire, thou mayest declare thy vow. But know that thou art not required to abstain from every Spoiler as the League hath repeated stated. Those of the Order hath a vow for a particular type of Spoiler. If thou desireth to be able to vieweth the Official Trailer but shalt abstain from the rumors of plot line or many of the little tidbits that are frequently displayed on the NWeb front page, thou still shalt be an eligible member of the Order. If thou desireth to vieweth cast and crew interviews, but chooseth to abstain from video clips such as minute-long teaseres and the super-trailer, thou shalt be a Member still.
If thou arn't not sure what type of Spoilers thou wisheth to avoid and thou decideth at spur of the moment, perhaps the wandering Pilgrims of the Middle Way shouldst be best for thee.
Tis a joyous and peaceful place this Monastery. Thou we art frequently assaulted with temptation of Spoilers from the evil League, we still knoweth that we shalt prevail. They claim we art in ignorance and they art correct. We intentionally seek to be ignorant of what Spoilers are there before the glorious viewing. And as the saying goes, "Ignorance is bliss". We are not however, ignorant of the deadly effects that the Spoiler hath on the glorious viewing. For we know that upon the viewing of said Spoilers there are no turning back. We cannont unsee what we hath seen. So we shalt remain of a pure mind and vieweth not the Spoiler.
And this shalt make those Spoiled Rotted reel. I hath not even visited the GMD forum in some time.

I hath realized mine own vow hast not been posted. I realize that many hath not posted their vows as such, but I wish to be held accountable for mine future actions. But I shall not use the old language for it; that should bewilder me to the point where even I mayhaps not know what mine own vow is.
I vow to avoid any and all spoilers within my power to avoid (an example of what I can't avoid: fan graphics used on this forum, spoiler quotes in someones avie/siggie) until I have seen Voyage of the Dawn Treader, even if I have to wait until it is out on DVD (the curse of living where there is no movie theater).

Though I hath not read it, I hath heard the gist of the latest news story which containeth an interview of Apted in which he saith heretical and debased things, which ought not to be uttered. But it hath formed in me a stern resolution, and a new vow am I fain to make. For lo, all my fears hath been confirmed, and the Beatific Vision which we hath long been awaiting seemeth as though it shalt not be beatific in the least.
And so it is in my heart to extend my spoiler-free vows unto eternity and forswear me forever of this film.
Calm thou, my brethren and sistern. Incline thy ear to my distress which hath led me to such a course of action. For verily I say unto thee that I art a fan of Narnia, and this vision hath been so mangled as to bear no resemblance to the heart and spirit of that fair country. Wherefore it art not incumbent upon me to be a fan of this debased and wretched adaptation.
Also, I weep at the effrontery offered to Lewis, who hath poured his creative energies into the crafting of the Narnian Chronicles, and whose words hath been thrown to the four winds in favor of the vain scribblings of lesser men.
I hath not entered wholly into this vow yet, for I wish not to be hasty in mine judgments. But several vows wilt I make now, to remain in holiness in the face of so much wickedness. For lo, the sins of others eraseth not my own misdeeds.
First, I do not wish to cast blame and recriminations in the bitterness of my soul, for it is not wisdom to sin whilst reviling of the iniquity of others.
Nor shalt I make much moan of this dreadful butchery, for to spout hatred and negativity violateth the words of that Book I earnestly desire to obey. Wholesome words art those that shouldst come from my lips, and so I commit me to purity of tongue in all my language, even whilst discussing heinous acts and the perpetrators thereof. I prithee hold me to this vow, O fellow monks, and upbraid me shouldst I falter in its execution.

Thou speakest great wisdom, Speaker of Symbolism and of Wisdom of the Order. Lo, I too have bethought me of what mine course of action shouldst be now that mine eyes have seen this terrible sight. For sooth, I didst deny mine vows afore now, and 'twas mine curse to be Spoiled many times over in preparation for this third of the Beatific Visions -- a curse I didst bring down upon mine own head, ye mun know. Yea, I was even one of those that were Spoiled Rotten. But hark! it hath been decided by me that I shalt not train mine eyne any longer unto these glimpses of the Vision -- in troth, that I shalt rejoin This Blessed Monastery.
Verily, I do undertake this mine action not out of any belief that it shall make the coming Vision truly Beatific, but that I thinkst it be not worth the trouble. Forsooth, when I wandered through the Land Most Gruesome of the Spoiled Rotten, I found that mine soul was constantly in great travail -- that Hope, That Glorious Dame, wast constantly entering into me and again going out of me. If the Vision be not Beatific, then 'tis folly to waste such passion upon it. There be many Occupations more Worthy than this: chronicling, yea, ist one.
Mine eyne shalt still behold the Vision when it appeareth, for lo, they cannot help but do such, poor fools. Howe'er, shalt treat this and all Forthcoming Visions as the mere Visions of other men, and not Beatific, and therefore unworthy of mine upheavals of soul.

I do ask thee, O Spoilered, to refrain from thy posting of spoilers here within the very walls of the Monastery. I understand it art all in fun, but lo, there is true and serious intent under the flummery of our words, and many here do indeed seek to avoid spoilers. It is verging on rude to post them here... please stop. I thank thee.

My apologies, but I felt the need to correct a minor detail. Abstain from spoilers if you feel that you must, seek them if you find it necessary. Now I shalt return to the middleway. AHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
