*jaw drops*
Of course, Joe! Welcome! *insert bigger, cheesier grin* That was a wonderful surprise that just made my day... I'm not sure which day it is, so I'll say it made my two days. (it is around midnight here; yeah, it's late, but I'm working on my novel...was working on my novel) Now I love NaNo even more.

Forsooth, I am not sure where the ball went. I wast quite busy handing out scarves to Quinlin and malkah and perchance others and eating biscotti and running to the library to see if we hath a book on the rules of the game. This is what I didst find, and whilst I admit I am not much more knowledgeable than before, perchance we wilt muddle through somehow.
*looks around for a small white sphere*
Ah! Here 'tis. Had rolled under the table.
*waves to Little Joe* Greetings! We art very glad thee canst join us and use the silly string for the side of good!
We have hands that fashion and heads that know,
But our hearts we lost - how long ago! -- G. K. Chesterton
It iseth my plesure, fellow monk, to use my silly string for the side of good. Anyways I hath flipped threw thee's rule book and behold! My eye's are now opened to the many rules of ping pong! I hath not fathomed that there would could be so many rules to such a simplton sport. Either way. I challange winner!
If you ain't first, you're last.
Oooh, thy scarf with the tiny roses wilt suit excellently, Lady Wanderer! I thank thee, and giveth ye a helmet in return for thy kindness. I doth believe it wast wrought for the especial purpose of deflecting the savage ping-pong ball.
Welcome, Lin of Quin! (Verily, the nicknames I cometh up with get stranger and stranger. ) In sooth, it warms mine heart for another veteran of that grand and bizarre war to declareth allegiance to this good Order.
Minion Eusy, you gave it to the poor? "Let them drink cappuccino"? Nay, the sacred cappuccino maker is still safe and sound in the hidden chamber which it hath been kept in for centuries and no minion knows how to find. Methinks thou art only trying to send me into mental spasms with thy wild claims, for thou knows me to be a highstrung Dryad.
Monk Katana, thy cookie recipe didst smell and sound most delicious. If thou shouldst make another batch, I wilt stand over them with mine bow and arrow and maketh sure that those who wish to sampleth them only take one and not the whole platter.
Welcome to the blessed sanctum that is the Monastery, Jewel of Aslan! In sooth, I do believe that LoESRM art still called the Empire, though mine abstracted dryad mind had forgotten that until thou had brought it up. We shalt not let the term fall into disuse!
*Is a great believer in preserving the grand and varied history of these great organizations, if anyone hadn't already noticed that*
*Gleefully serves the Silly-Stringer an extra large cappuccino* We art all very thrilled to have thee here, Joe the Little. All is forgiven of thy previous reigns of silly-stringed terror, and may thy find much peace and joy in these hallowed halls and hallowed walls as we await the Blessed Event. Verily, thy conversion shalt remain one of mine favorite memories of the Nightte of Writting Narnianlie.
Worry not of the wrath of the Silver-Tongued Speaker, the Seeker Out of Goodies, Minion Eusy and the Book of Wyrms. I knoweth from experience that the good Order defendeth its members, with the help of the noble pilgrims. *Insert fuzzy feelings smiley here*
What? Doth mine ears heareth the bawling of a minion? *Hands the Speaker of Awesomeness a box of kleenex* I thought there was no crying in. . . er, Minionball?
*Decides that this posteth is probably too lengthy to babble on any further, and so puts her helmet back on to observe the unfolding ping-pong match*
*drifts in, peaceful but rumpled*
Alack, I hath come only sparsely into this most joyous fellowship since my conversion, for I have departed upon a quest now well rooted in mine heart...the quest for 80k in that great scroll which is called Nano. It hath taken up much of my time...
Verily, verily, I do rejoise to see so many of those who wert once upon a time our enemie, no joined to our holy ranks. Welcome, all, and find solace in this most generous fellowship. We forgive thee thy cappuchino stealing, biscuit smashing wayes.... . Kind of. Those wert good cookies...
*Settles in a chair beside the hearth. to study economics, unawares of the flying ping-pong balls and the foolishsome attacks of the Minions of the Spoilered.*
Bringeth it on, indeed.
Meltintalle, do either of us have any points yet?
*realizes it is her serve, and sends the ball over the net in pop-fly fashion* Oh, dear, that wasn't a good serve.
ChristProclamer, I also am doing NaNo, but not as sucessfully. I think that's from spending so much time on here.

Winterlife, I am under the impression that we score for a successful serve, so I shalt claim I doeth indeed have a point.
*tries to hit the ball and return the serve, but faileth*
How many points shalt we play to?

Greetings again, monks! I have something to tell thee!
Long hath I wandered about, searching for a place to truly reside. I thought that place lay with the Pilgrims of the Middle Way, for I was hesitant to give up my spoiled ways. But I hath been doing some thinking, and now I am sure - I wish to completely avoid all clips, TV spots, and soundtrack music that shalt appear between now and the movie's release in December, for the betterment of me and my movie-watching pleasure.
So now 'tis my intention to join thy fellowship in these hallowed halls, if thou will agree to have me.

*looks for ball and accidentally steps on it* Oh, dear. Good thing I have extras. Did I get a point? *realizes that it is still her serve and does an almost halfway decent serve*
Welcome, Silver the Wanderer! Tis nice to have you. If you would like a blindfold or a helmet, they are being passed round.

Ah Silver, I shall miss ye zere, but I make frequent visits here, so perhaps, we may still be freinds
I hope ye likes it here. Even I must admit 'tis quite cozy, but a wolf such as meself prefers the wall-less open free wilds. But alas, ze wild 'tis not for all .

It hath come to my attention that the 2nd of the glorious Narnia films is having its debut on the USA channel this Saturday. This hath encouraged my preparation for the glorious 3rd film to watch LWW Extended followed by Prince Caspian in anticipation of VDT. I shalt engage in said deed the week of the films release on days in which I hath not any finals. I shalt have three days that week with no Finals which shalt make my life much easier for that.
Be watching for the release of my spiritual warfare novel under a new title: "Call to Arms" by OakTara Publishing. A sequel (title TBD) will shortly follow.
Alas, High Knight, ze finals are ze very thing that prevent me from attending ze great veiwing, but I hath jusat discovered me last final be on ze 13th of December, so perhaps I might sneek out to see it then? 'Tis better zan ze 19th o ze 20th, which be me next best option
