Liberty Hoffman: Aww, I love that shot of Toothless! :) Your texture and font are sweet too.

Daughter of the King: The last one's my favorite. Your bright colors and interesting lighting are very cool.

Wunderkind_Lucy:I like #3, 10, & 12 best. #3 is just so unique, and your blending is brilliant; #10's colors are lovely; and the sky in the last one is gorgeous. I don't what you did to it, but I like it. :D

1-11: Terra Nova

Sorry about all my variations. I am a very indecisive person. And, about the sets, feel free to just snag the avatar or sig. No need to use the whole set. :)

Comments and credit are like strawberry smoothies!

Tarkheena: Why thank you! *blushes* The sky in #12 is from this texture set of mine. Love the coloring on your first avie/sig set!

Great job, everyone.

And Wunderkind_Lucy, your graphics are amazing as always. My favorites are 6, 7, 8, and 11. :)

A couple of things from me. :)

On Facebook, translates to:

Wallie: Our Mermod + Lyrics from Loreley by Blackmore's Night.
Facebook Banner: Doctor Who, the Weeping Angels.

Wallie and banner made by me. All textures by me. Screenshots for the banner are courtesy of Wikimedia Commons. Photo for the wallie courtesy of Lady Arwen.

Anyone can use. Please don't claim as your own. :)

Wuder: All the ones with the girl & her braid are lovely. :) #7 is my favorite, though. I've just got a thing for a pretty sky. ;)) Thanks for the link, by the way. :)

Ithilwien: Love the FB banner. :D That was my favorite Who episode of all time. The wallie's gorgeous, but I think there's a bit too much text. They all distract from each other.

1: Latin for (roughly) "glory to God alone"
2: Romans 5:20
3: Song lyric from Katrina and the Waves
4: One of the Harry Potter books ... not sure which. :-
5-9: Random quotes from one of those quote database things ...
10: E. E. Cummings
11-14: BBC Merlin

Credit and comments make me very, very happy. :)

Wow, Real Life and creativeness being stunted really make a person fall behind! :p
On with comments, then. And might I say, I'm impressed. Both with the sheer talent of you, my friends... and of the amount of notes I have for you. :-o

First, let me start by saying... thanks to all those who commented on my last post. It means a lot! :D

Secondly, I want to apologize for the amount of emoticons in this post.
Okay, NOTES TIME!!!

Pg 43
Narnian_Archer, wow... you're making me blush! See? --> And feel free to try to fulfill the request. I think it'd be cool for AslansChild to have options! But seriously, seeing what you told her, made my night. So, thank you. As per your batch of avatars... SO. CUTE. Don't worry about things being "simple"... sometimes simple is best. It really depends on the situation, and these turned out beautifully!

Tarkheena, I'm still trying to think on what font I used on my orange set... I'll let you know when I can. Wonderful, wonderful job, on both posts!! I like how you did both black and white ones and coloured things. And man, speaking of those colours... they really pop out at you! :D

cg, nice batch from you as well! I especially like the first wallpaper. (for style and blending purposes, mostly. I still prefer Gwen with Arthur. :P)

Adeona, nice batch! Please try and come in more often? Your colour scheme is great!

Lady Haleth, if you can provide a picture, I'll try and answer your request! I tried finding one on my own, but was having trouble finding one that "fit". ;)) Oh, and nice job on your stuff on the next page!

Pg 44
flammy, dear, Are you referring to the "We Promise" set? Because if so, they really did say that in that scene. ;)) *wonders if there is a way to show you* As for your first LOTR batch... variations can be good! And in your case, they really work! I'm not even sure if I can pick a favourite! Second batch... just as amazing as the first! :)

Tarkheena-
Post 1: another fine batch! Why is it that I can never pick favourites of your stuff?! (trust me, though, that's a GOOD thing!) Post 2: Bones!!!! Merlin!!! *melts at the prettiness*

Kate, long time no see! Lovely, brilliantly coloured batch of Merlin stuffs! Oh, and I've been meaning to ask... where did you get your sig? That's from To Kill a Mockingbird, correct? :D

cg, wonderful batch of fall stock! I know I didn't ask for them, but would it be okay if I saved them and used some at a later time?

RubyGamgee, nice to see you around! And Merlin stuff? EEP!!!! Fantastic job, girl!

winterlife, awesome quote sigs!! First off, the fonts you chose for each were PERFECT. And you really made me laugh! Makes me want to give that show another chance! (as a kid I was alternately cracking up by it, or bored and annoyed with it 8-| )

Narnian_Archer, back so soon? :P Nice Mulan batch! My fave is the last sig, I think. :)

Wunder, as always... wonderful job and great colourization! (might I add real quick, thanks for always posting bases. they're great!)

Pg 45
Riella, awesome to see you again! And bringing Doctor Who with you! Awesome job! I know I've said it in the past, but I wish I knew how to make my stuff look like yours. It's just always so purty!

LucyP0104, nice batch! I haven't seen Tangled yet, but I think I like that avvy best. :)

cg-
Post 1: how is it that you love so much of the same things as me?! Another fine batch, m'am! Post 2: You're on a roll lately, aren't you? I think my fave is the first Merlin one in row 3... the "They say I'll be a legend" one.

Ruby, nice batch of autumn avatars!!

Tarkheena, you must be taking over my old job of keeping the thread alive. :P Another fine couple of batches from you! I mean, Princess Bride, Bones, etc? I LOVE YOU! :))

Narnian_Archer is back too? I'm beginning to sense a pattern here... ;)) Nice Zorro batch!

Libby, it's nice to see book related graphics from people again! Nice job! They make me curious about your story. :) Oh, I like the sig the best! Post, the second... cute wallpaper!

Lia, nice batch from you as well! Followed by a fabulous batch of Merlin stuffs from dot, and another great batch from Wunder! Gosh, I have so many talented friends!

Pg 46 (current page)
Tarkheena, Wunder, Riella, more great stuff! There is no end to the talent round here, apparently! Oh, and Tarkheena? LOVING the quote sigs!!

winterlife, another awesome batch of quote sigs from you! I LOVED these! (especially the first two, and last few)

I hope that's all of them! I'd hate to think I left anyone or anything out!

.......................
Skipping on to mine:
I decided to forego on requests and my other (very unclear) ideas for now. I don't know if it's because of the season and (upcoming) holiday, introducing Rose to it, or what. But I've gotten back into watching a certain childhood favourite show of mine. And as always, that leads to my brain screaming "make graphics"! ;))

So, what show is it that I'm babbling on about? Let's see if this helps...
1) It's "old school" Nickelodeon at it's finest. (and I'm skipping Salute Your Shorts, Pete and Pete, Clarissa, and Alex Mack for now, folks)
2) It was the last of four shows shown each saturday night. And lasted from 1991-1996... with a revival running from 1999-2000. (so, seven seasons)
3) And it's probably part of why the chat room now has our own "Midnight Society" meeting up. :p

That's right, guys. I'm talking about none other, than...
Are You Afraid of the Dark? :D

I should have a few more posts coming this week... so stay tuned! And as always, comments and credit make you my favourite person ever! ;) Okay, enough talk. On with the show!

clicky!

I'm not entirely sure if I like how this batch turned out or not. What do you think?

Edited (days later) to add:
Not that anyone will care, but in case someone does... and was curious, here are specifics on where each quote is from...

Repeated lines, throughout the series: 1, 2, 5, and 6
Season 4's "The Tale of the Unfinished Painting" (3 and 4)
Season 1's first episode: "The Tale of the Phantom Cab" (7 and 8)
Season 1's fourth episode: "The Tale of the Twisted Claw" (9 and 10)
Oh, the quote on the wallie is also from the first ever episode. ;)

Notes:
Libby- Nice wallie! I remember seeing at least part of that movie on tv once... but never got to finish it. Thanks for reminding me about it! :)
Wunder- I didn't look at your set of bases, but I'm sure they're lovely as well.

Graphics:
Tv show: Are You Afraid of the Dark?

Variations- Sorry, can't help it... I'm indecisive. *shrugs*
Avatars-Not sure why, but they don't always look the same once saved, as they do in the program. Hopefully you still like them!
Quotes on Sigs- The first is from season 2, the rest are from season 3
edited to specify...
1) Season 2's "The Tale of the Shiny Red Bicycle"
2-4) Season 3's "The Tale of the Midnight Ride"
5-6) Season 3's "The Tale of the Phone Police"

Rules: Credit if you use, thanks! Oh, and this isn't a rule, per se, but comments are loved! ;)

I started experimenting with PowerPoint backgrounds when I was responsible for setting up the slides for a worship night. For one particular song, I couldn't find a background I liked so I made one (the first one in this post). I liked how it turned out so I started experimenting with making more simple backgrounds.

No permission or credit necessary. A PM telling me which one you're using would be nice though. :)

Ohh, neat idea! And they turned out lovely! I can't even pick a favourite! :)
........................

And we're back!
Submitted for the approval, of the Nweb Graphics Makers, I give you...

The Midnight Society,
of "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"!

Gary

The leader of the gang, who is very fascinated by magic.
Seasons appeared in: 1-5 (1991-1996)
*also appeared in the concluding three episode story-arc in 2000

Eric

Not much is known about him, except that he's Irish, and very sarcastic. (IMHO) Only told two stories... and a bit of one that never got resolved (GRR!).
Seasons appeared in: 1 (1991-1992)

David

The introverted kid, who always has bad things happening to him. He is my second favourite character on the show!
Seasons appeared in: 1 & 2 (1991-1993)

Kristen

Loves fairy tales, ghost stories, and always dresses up for her stories. Oh, yeah... her and David have crushes on each other. ;))
Seasons appeared in: 1 & 2 (1991-1993)

Kiki

The spunky tomboy who loves picking on people... and is easily annoyed by Tucker and Stig. ;)) She's not all tough, though... a soft side exists. Honest!
Seasons appeared in: 1-5 (1991-1996)

Betty Ann

A friendly girl, who has a passion for the bizarre and twisted. Her stories are often about aliens or some other supernatural force. Typically, it was her stories that scared (and still scare) me the most!
Seasons appeared in: 1-5 (1991-1996)

Frank

The one who joined in the premiere episode... he's very in-your-face and easily annoyed. ;)) (David is the one who brought him along) He's also the only person we know the last name of... the others' aren't mentioned. (btw, it's Moore)
Seasons appeared in: 1-4 (1991-1995)

Tucker

Gary's younger brother, the youngest member, and MY FAVOURITE! :)) Sure, he can be a little obnoxious and sarcastic... but he's funny! And has the best tales!
Seasons appeared in: 3-5; 6 & 7 (1993-1996; 1999-2000)

Samantha (better known, as Sam)

Kinda shy, her stories tend to have the theme of love. Has a crush on Gary. (and he has one on her too!!) Brought into the group by Betty Ann.
Seasons appeared in: 3-5 (1993-1996)

Stig

Brought by Tucker, when Frank moved. It's hard to say what he was like; as he wasn't around long, and only told two stories.
Seasons appeared in: 5 (1995-1996)

.......
So, that's the group! :D
Artist's notes: I hope you like the sets... it took forever to get just the right pics to use! All pictures used are capped by me, from my dvds. (only one or two came from online) Oh, and these aren't the order I made the sets in... I was going by the time period in which each member joined or left the show. ;)

Feel free to use these, if you wish! But please credit... comments are good too! Oh, right... wait til I'm done, if you want to use the Tucker set. ;)

See ya in a day or two, with more!

Some comments:
Page 46:
narnian_at_heart: Neat graphics! They look good - pretty, but not too distracting from possible added text. :)
Princess Anna: Thank you for your very kind comment! The main reason I don't post very often is that I don't make graphics as often as you others. 1st Post: I like sigs 5, 6, and 8 best. 2nd Post: Good job with the avis! And that first sig really makes me smile. The rotated text is a nice touch. 3rd Post: I like the layout on the Eric set best. :)
Wunder: 1st Post: You know what I think of theses lovely ones. 6 and 11 still blow me away! I'm using 11 on LJ with credit. 2nd Post: I haven't downloaded the bases, but the third one on the cover shows lovely cropping.
Libby: Nice WP! I really like the blur effects around the edges, and you blended on the texture quite prettily. :)
winterlife: Hilarious quotes! I like your layout/font choices best on #2 and 7.
Tarkheena: 1st Post: Unique layout for avi #1, and the coloring on everything in this post is beautifully vivid. 2nd Post: Wow, you've really got the whole transparent text sig thing down to a science! Lovely work. I've saved 7 and 10, but it's difficult to choose a "Best" sig in this set.
Ithilwen: Good job with the textures and coloring on both WP and the banner.

Page 45:
Wunder: 1st Post: Sweet bases! 2nd Post: Really pretty coloring and blending! I like 4, 7, 9, and 11.
daughter of the King: Ooh - 4 and 6 are very beautiful!
Libby: 1st Post: Neat idea to make graphics for your NaNo novel! 2nd Post: that is a very sweet WP! Your textures and coloring give it a warm, woodsy feel.
Tarkheena: 1st Post: My favorite of the avis here are 5, 6, and 7.
2nd Post: It's nice to see Princess Bride graphics. My favorites are 3 ( :p ) and 6. Also, nice job with #10.
Melian_Maia: my favorites are 3 and 5. Nice coloring/lack thereof!
campgirl: 1st Post: #5 is so much fun! I also like 9 quite a bit. 2nd Post: Wow. #2 is simply breathtaking! 4, 5, and 14 are very nice as well.
Narnian_Archer: I like 1, 5, and 6.
RubyGamgee: Beautiful, luminous coloring on those fall avis.
LucyP0104: That's a lovely Rapunzel avi! I also like #3 and 4. Very pretty coloring.
Ithilwen: I think I like the second WP best - because I prefer the coloring and the first WP is maybe a bit too complex. Avis 2, 4, 5, and 8 are extra nice - I really like your coloring. Also, the second sig made me grin.

Page 44:
flam: Thanks for the comments! Have you read Birthmarked, then? 1st Post: Amazing job! 10, 12, 16, and 20 are my favorites - particularly the blended Eowyn ones - easily some of the best work I've seen from that shot. 2nd Post: More beautiful LotR avis! My favorites are 9, 10, 15, 16, 18, and 19 (which I've saved). Your cropping and coloring are as wonderful as ever.
Wunder: Nice layout for #5, and I really like 6 and 9 as well.
Tarkheena: 1st Post: Nice coloring on the first PotC set. The first text sig is my favorite, as well. 2nd Post: Good job on the cropping of all of these - my favorites are avi #4, sig #13 (stunning coloring on that one, too)
Narnian_Archer: Thank you very much for your comments! And great job blending the images on the second and fifth Mulan sigs!
winterlife: #6 is just delightful! :p
RubyGamgee: The 3rd and 5th avis are quite pretty, and sigs 1 and 2 are very good.
campgirl: Thank you for the comment! Have you read Birthmarked? Beautiful fall avis - the white textures you used are just right. 2, 4, 5, and 6 are my favorites.
Kate: Nice coloring - esp. on those WPs. The layout/blending of WP #3 is quite unique and pretty.
Lady Haleth: I went ahead and made a sig with the text you requested at the bottom of page 43. I don't mind if you don't want to use it, though!
Your sig #1 is really nice - good job blending the two images!

Whew. After all that catching up, just a few random graphics from me:

Original painting by Edgar Degas

That one is for Lady Haleth - let her use it first if she likes. :)

and finally, a blog header type graphic inspired by a certain Veggie Tales incident.

Comments, criticism, and credit are ever welcomed! And anyone may use any of my graphics at any time. ;)
