Thank you for putting up the numbers Gymfan! (And all the other work you've done here for NaNo- we appreciate it!) That is absolutely wonderful news about how we'd rank compared to other regions- bravo everyone!
Dear days of old, with the faces in the firelight,
Kind folks of old, you come again no more.
(Robert Louis Stevenson)
The numbers are really fun! Thanks for putting those together, Gymmie.
Congratulations to all who won! It was crazy, but it was really good. You're all awesome.

let me teach you how to dance."
I love statistics and I love how we all did on NaNo this year! I'm really proud of us And thanks a lot Gymfan for doing all the numbers.
Now, we have to do better next year... but we have a LOT of time until that.
Thanks to malkah for the lovely avatar!
Congrats again to all our winners! And thanks, Gymfan, for compiling that list of statistics.
And now that the pressure's off I hope to finish my story sometime this month. November and December are such busy months...
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
Congratulations to everyone who participated! The number of words written is mind boggling! Thank you for all the encouragement you provided each other (and me) throughout the month.
And thank you, Gymmie, for putting together that amazing list and all the totals and other interesting information. That is utterly too cool.

Wow, Gymmie! I absolutely love that post of statistics! That's really cool. I'm so happy about how many people participated, and how many won!
I stayed up to the dot of Midnight last night (and later), because Betsie said I should finish my novel. So I did, I suppose. It doesn't seem finished to me, though, because the story stretches on in my head; I'm definitely going to write the "sequel" as soon as I can.
Whew! We did good!

Conga Rats to all the NaNo winners and participants. I would have loved to have been a part of it but I had absolutely no time whatsoever in the month of November due to school projects. I can safely say next year will be the same, but the year after...watch out because once I get going, I can fly. Who knows, by then I might have a book published and I could be one of the encouragers to NaNo. We'll see what happens when that happens.
Be watching for the release of my spiritual warfare novel under a new title: "Call to Arms" by OakTara Publishing. A sequel (title TBD) will shortly follow.
Wow, Gymfan! It must've been quite a bit of work to put that all together. Thanks!
My book isn't finished, but it's thisclose, so I'm pretty happy.
And I'm not gonna lie, I am totally thrilled to be #4 on the list. I can't believe I wrote that much in 30 days. Last year, I hit 50k on the 29th, and this year I got it on th 24th and then wrote 15,000 more words after that! Strange how much you can surprise yourself.
Congrats to everyone who won and even those who didn't! You all did an awesome job.
Hehe, I was amazed to see I was in the top five! Wow.
You're amazing for putting that all together, Gymfan! Simply amazing. Thanks a ton! It's very uplifting to see how much we've accomplished in such a short time!
Does anyone want to put up excerpts for the benefit of those who were not on the NaNo websites?
P.S."Brooklyn!"
Gymfan, thank you for posting those figures - that's amazing! Well done everyone!
I haven't really looked at my story since I finished it, and I'm a little bit nervous about going back. Luckily, I don't think I hate it anymore ...
Thanks for posting the results, Gymfan! Congrats to all you fellow winners!!!!
Thanks for the stats, Gym!!
*laughs that she's last*

I sure am joining this thread late!
Thank you so much, Gymfan, for putting together those statistics! They are amazing! I think I started jumping up and down around the room when I first read them I was so excited.

I like that idea. I'm nervous about looking at my novel again, though, because the little I've read since NaNo was so...ugh. At least I know what my story is about now!
While I'm here I'd like to say a thanks to everyone else who participated. This was my first year and I was really nervous and it helped and encouraged me a lot to see the rest of you doing it to and read about your ups and downs. Especially Gymfan, you've been a great encourager. I think doing NaNo with ya'll (even though I never said anything) was a major reason why I won. Thanks!
I left Narniaweb for inexplicable reasons in the beginning of June 2010 and probably will not be returning (much as I love this place). So if you're wondering why I disappeared, now you know! (sort of...)
I'm pretty sure I'll reach 50,000 words in the next few days. Better late than never.
When writing today, the story took a rather unexpected twist but I was pleased since it gave me an idea for how to deal with my main antagonist. It's one of those cases where the characters 'told' me what would happen next.
