Hey all!

Thank you all sooo much for praying for flambeau! I am happy to say that she has been feeling better the last two days!! :D

QS, wow, you're doing very good!! :D/ You word count has spiked! :D

Sleepwalking, ooh, how neat! Your book sounds great! :D

Aw, Fanny, I do hope that your sister starts feeling better soon! :(

I love reading journals (such as the Dear Canada & Dear America ones), I find them very much allowing into the character's mind, which is cool, so I think your story idea is great! Now, one question I had about writing this type of book- do you have a set plot line that your character experiences and writes about throughout the course of the book, an objective? Or is it more a day to day diary?

The Dear America books were what inspired me to write a book like this. :)
Hmm, right now, it's more of a day to day diary, but I do have certain events that will happen to her. . . It's set during the Civil War and the war just now started, so more will be happening to her and hopefully my writing picks up. Did that answer your question?

If any of you would like to do a word war, let me know! ;) flam and I did a few with Dennie/DTR yesterday, and it helped us all immensely! :D

You guys are all doing great!! :D

DJ: Aw, thanks. I still hope to get 2,600 until my goal this afternoon. :)

So far I've just had a Word War with Gym and Betsie, and then another one with just Bets. :) That was a lot of fun! :)

Awesome job, everyone! :) It's so fun to watch the word counts climbing. ;)

Mar and flam, glad to hear you're both feeling better!

Djaq, I'd love to have a word war with you (and anyone else who's interested). If that doesn't work for you, though, it's fine! :)

NaNo is one of the most fun things I've done in awhile. Just watching the length of my novel grow and all sorts of twists and layers I hadn't thought about appear is a treat. :) I'm really, really enjoying it!

Just a quick post to say Thank YOU to everyone who said that they hoped I'd get well! I am thankfully feeling much better today, and I'm actually getting some writing done! :D
I did a couple word wars with Dennie and Djaq yesterday which helped me get around 1,500 words yesterday! I was excited about that! I did one earlier today (lost, as usual. ;) ), which was fun. I'm still under my goal for today, but I'm hoping to get there before the day is over.

Anyways, thank you all again!
Y'all's word counts are astounding! :-o

Happy writing!

Great to hear you are feeling better, flambeau, and that your word count is growing! :D And thanks, malkah, today I woke up completely recovered.

I would love to do a word war with any of you! I really need my word count to grow a little bit :S So, if anyone wants to fight with me in a Word War, you're welcome to do it. You can send me a PM :) Thanks!

Okay, as always, better go and write!

Thanks to malkah for the lovely avatar!

Thanks everyone :)

Phew, I was a bit worried since yesterday I only wrote about 300 words out of my 1700 daily quota...I was very stuck to say the least. But today it's coming much easier. I'm hoping to be at 12,000 by tonight. Wish me luck, and good luck to everyone else! :D

I did a very bad thing and only wrote 10 words yesterday. :(( I knew I would regret it, but I did it anyway. I woke up early to work on the book, and then I did nothing instead. And then I continued doing nothing for the rest of the day. I was hoping to hit 16k today, but I'm only a bit over 14,400. *Sigh* I'll have to stay up late to do it.

Glad to hear you're feeling better, flambeau and Mar!

According to the NNWM word count validator, i have 12,891 words. I'm just getting to some kind of mini-climax now; which might be a little early. Oh well. I tried to make an outline earlier, but that failed miserably. I'll guess I'll just have to see where this goes.

So far I have 12,272 words, and I hope to get to 15k by tonight. ;;) :-s

Djaq, I'd love to have a word war with you (and anyone else who's interested). If that doesn't work for you, though, it's fine! :)

That would be great! If you have time at some point, we could go into the NarniaWeb chatroom. (there were several large word wars going on there last night, so maybe others could join us! :) )

Sleepwalking, hyaline and Arwenel, you guys are doing great!! :D

Gymfan, wow, that's fabulous!! :-bd You go girl!

Well, hopefully, I'll get to do some more word wars today, they really help get my word count up there! :D

So how did you all do on the 15K by Sunday goal? (For those of you who had that as a goal.)

I'm very happy to say that I made it, with 292 to spare. ;)

So far I've had Word Wars with:
Bets, Gym, Destined, flam, DJ, and then one or two others joined at least for a little while, such as Robby. (Who isn't participating in NaNo I don't believe, but joined in for fun) ;) So it's been tons of fun--Word Wars have been possibly the best part for me... Maybe since I always chat with the Narniawebbers for at LEAST twice as long as I do a Word War with them. But it's fun. :p Hehe.

I'm really glad I worked up a slight head start before the weekend, because I've written hardly anything over the past few days. I just knew that would happen, what with going home and all. :P Oh well. I have written a little!

Wow, everyone's doing so well! :D It's so exciting seeing so many people taking part, and seeing so many people enjoying themselves. :)

My story is coming along well I think. I am really enjoying coming up with the dialogue and description, and making all the scenes link together ... it's great. I keep deleting things, though, and I really need to stop doing that!

So fun to see the numbers rising and the little blue bars growing!!

I'm afraid I've hit the stupid second-week slump. X( I was doing so good yesterday...And now all my characters are too busy being depressed or scared or brooding to pick things up any.

@Christproclaimer: When in doubt, add ninjas! ;))

The second week slump is rather nasty. But just MAKE something happen and make your characters react! It makes for some interesting situations. And if actually adding ninjas works, for you, awesome! :D

Second week slump, indeed! I'm around 15k but have pretty much covered the main plot ideas I had in mind when I started. Now I have to resist the temptation to begin editing. ;)

I do have a couple of directions I could go, if I could just get rid of this writer's block or the concern that I'll write myself into a corner and have to scratch a bunch of stuff. Maybe sleeping on it tonight will help.

Ninjas...hmmmm.... ;)

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
