Count me in for the interview, as well.

Awesome! More interviewees! Oh and btw, thanks for spreading the word ithil.
Silver, if you just order a proof copy then your book won't be assigned an ISBN. Well, the site will say one is reserved for your book, but it won't be registered to your book until you actually press the approve proof button and publish it. And there is no limit to how many proof copies you can order, however you can't use the free copies code for them.

I thought I had replied here already, but apparently not: I'm willing to be interviewed as well. =)
I think I'll do the 5 book deal... I'll probably get one proof copy first and then the five later on. There's a lot of people who I want to give one to.

Alright, I added you to the list Queen Susan.
Poor Menelve; sorry to keep pestering you with questions about the Createspace thingamajiggy. I have just one...on the site, it won't let me access the 'order proof copy' section until after I select an option for the ISBN. Does it matter which ISBN option I choose?
And I'm a bit belated, but I did end November with 62k. Didn't finish my novel, but will very soon.
All right, peoples, what's next? Is anyone sharing their novel now that it's semi-done? Anyone venturing out to edit and revise yet?
I have no idea. I've never actually created an account on Createspace before so I didn't even know there were ISBN options. What options are listed?
And it's perfectly fine to bug me with questions. I'm happy to answer them if I have the answers.
And Congrats on your win!

I'm not sure if you're still doing interviews, but if you are, I'm open to being interviewed as well, Menelve.
I... um... haven't touched my NaNo novel since around December 2nd. I'm taking a break from it, but I plan to finish it up in January, probably. My inspiration was thoroughly drained during November, though, and I need some time to charge it back up.
Not sure if I'll get copies of my NaNo novel, especially since I hope to get it published someday, possibly. We'll see.
What about you? Is the hype from November continuing, or are you officially on a hiatus for now?

I am currently taking a bit of a hiatus, simply because I have so much going on. I will start up again in January. In the meantime, I need a new ending for my novel, and a new beginning (so that it'll be coherent ), so this will give me time to think them up.

I'm making myself wait for January to start editing - and I'd like it if I could get it all done in that month, but that's wishful thinking.

I'm taking a break from writing my NaNo by writing... something else.
We have hands that fashion and heads that know,
But our hearts we lost - how long ago! -- G. K. Chesterton
I've stepped back from my story, especially compared to early in November, but I still work on it from time to time (it's still not finished. The beginning and end are done, but at times my muse inspired me to skip some events to get to others. I inserted 'placeholders' for those skipped events, and now I can go back and fill in the details).
It's still just over 46k long but I think it'll top 50k once finished.

I haven't finished my novel, I'm not sure how to finish it, it came out really bad, I only wish I could just throw it out, but I spent so much time writing it and De_De will hate me if I scrap it, I'm taking a break from it right now, and will get back to it some day

I've decided to scrap the idea of the CreateSpace copy. I'll just wait to get it published for real.
Like many of you, I finished November with some dissatisfaction with my novel. I've kept up with it, though, and in spite of a busy month, I've edited up to Chapter 7. Okay, so that's not great, but it's something.
Meltintalle, I have to fight to urge to do the same.
Stargazer, I do that all the time. Sometimes things just get too bogged down and one has to jump forward. I find that usually the parts I find hard to write are parts I cut out later anyways.
Anyone planning to share their novel or excerpts for some (honest!) feedback?
My NaNo novel was really a continuation of last year's NaNo novel, which got to about 10 thousand words - in 4 chapters. I started on chapter 5 and wrote about 1200 words ...
I want to continue writing, so I entered a writing challenge which was "add 20 000 words to a new work or a WorkInProgress".
I then got a beta-reader for that project. Do you know the advice to writers, "Kill your darlings"? She's showing me what darlings to kill. I've pruned those 4 chapters and cut about half of the rambling ...
Soon I found that I won't even reach the deadline for the challenge, so I've withdrawn again, but my beta-reader is willing to work with me without a deadline, so I expect that in some months we'll be able to produce something to post on fanfiction.net. I can post the link when I get that far

Congrats to all our NaNo winners and participants! Hopefully you enjoyed the experience even if you didn' 'win.'
Next up is Script Frenzy in April.
In the meantime, we return you to our regularly scheduled Writer's World discussion, the latest page of which begins here.
