NaNo? What's that?

I've hit a dreadful rut in my writing. I pretty much know where the story is supposed to go, but I'm at the hearing/court martial bit in the story and I somehow need to bring up all the witnesses and basically rehash everything that I've already written only in a courtroom/flashback/reaction kind of way. I think I know how to do it (and some of the witnesses' testimonies have been in my head for a long time) but I just don't have the time to write. Oh, homework, how you torment me! Maybe I can catch up over the holiday weekend.

I'm kind of stuck. I'm just forcing words out and it's awful. I don't know where to go from here. Even my outline isn't helping. I basically have to solve a mystery and I don't know how to without it being very cliche. Also, my novel is starting to sound very much like a tv show which I've seen a few episodes of called Nikita. It's becoming very similar and I don't know how to make it different.

I'm at 37.6k and I didn't write a thing yesterday. Fortunately, I'm ahead of my word count.

*waves to week two as it passes her by and latches on to week three so it doesn't slip away*
Well, I'm still sick. Cough, headache, and everything that goes with it. I'm still working on my my NaNo (current WC: 32.1k), but I'm not ahead. I'm going to be working mainly on getting ahead today and tomorrow. Hopefully I will be staying ahead over Thanksgiving. If I can keep to my schedule of 3k a day, I should be able to finish by next Monday.
Anyhoo. Just out of curiosity, do we have a date for the Night of Writing Narnianly? If it's already been posted here, sorry for asking, I just can't find it.

I'm rewarding myself for finally reaching today's word goal...but it was kinda slow. It's funny because I kept having all these ideas today, and I was excited to be able to sit down and write (starting before 9:30, even!). But then things kind of dragged.

At least this is only a rough draft, and even if we write trash/cliche at the moment, we can always make it better later. When the ideas get around to showing up.

HAHAHAHAHAHA I HIT 25K!!!!!!!!!!!!! *dances around in solo conga line while chanting "Halfway done with NaNo! Halfway done with NaNo!"*

Okay, yeah, I need to go finish my daily wordcount.

Sooo... My NaNo document has been giving me technical difficulties for the past two weeks and today it decided to die on my completely. Everytime I try to open it it says, 'This file is corrupted and cannot be opened.' Being the stubborn person I am, I'm starting NaNo over again.

Since our co-authoring died, Joe and I have come up with a bet (ya'll get to be the witnesses). Both Joe and I have started our novels again. It's a race to see who can get to 20k first. If I win, Joe uses My Little Pony graphics for an entire month. If he wins, I have to use his cute little Jackalope of evul graphics. May the best third of the brain win.

Anyhoo. I'm at about 450 words in my newly restarted NaNo and am hoping to hit 3k by the end of the day.

I've reached 50,000 words (50,044 to be exact) the novel isn't finished though I actually just got to the fun part, I hope to finish it this week

I can't believe nobody has posted here after getting officially validated as a winner.

Anyway, got mah purple bar! My novel isn't quite finished yet; I figure it's got about 5k more. I'd have had it done already but my computer is kind of on the fritz and it's just not as easy to write on my netbook. I WILL get it done before the month is over, though.

And I think I have a relatively satisfying ending, too.

Man, I'm just trudging away and it's taking forever! I'm going to try and finish it all of by this evening if I can. I'll only have time to write for a little while tomorrow morning or afternoon and then almost none for the remainder of the month.

My MC just noticed his romance counterpart, which hopefully proves to be a headache and handful for him too.

I'm going to try and get 70k - that's about 2750 per day, if I do an extra 400 today. I hope!! My story is odd, I have lots of random characters who shouldn't be there, but aren't important, and since I've been reading Dumas - the writing isn't too awful. Am I the only one who's influenced by what I've been reading, watching, etc - when I watched Kid History, my characters were talking like kids. And I write well when I read Dumas.

I'm at 45k! I'm almost there! I just realized I have a long way to go before I can fully develop the characters, so I'm guessing by the time I finish the novel it will probably be around 70k total.
