Wordles are fun! Thanks for sharing yours.
I just made a wordle of my current story, but it awakened my inner editor. I'm compelled to go through my story, changing common words (little, really, and the like) that show up on the Wordle and tell me I'm using them too much.
(Reading the "words you should never use" thread on the NaNo forum has the same effect on me).
I think these are good tools come December, when it's time to edit. But right now I should just be writing.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
My Wordle for 13k! I keep laughing when I look at it, thinking about how certain words managed to sqeak on it.

These Wordle things are funny! Here's mine for my last chapter. Like Winter, I keep wanting to laugh at it. Rest assured, there are many words on it that will probably not be in the book much more ever again.

I finally made a wordle. Here it is.
Riley and Ethan are my main characters (bet you can't tell). I noticed fight, shot, shots, and gun are all in that wordle. There's also quite a few words that really seem to sum up my novel: life, never, want, going, back.
I'm at almost 31k. I haven't written anything today. I've been procrastinating and also, I have to write a paper for my geology class tomorrow. I really need to get it done before tomorrow at 4:30.
I'm far behind. I'm at something like 23k, but I'm quite pleased with my last scene. Here's my wordle http://www.wordle.net/show/wrdl/4426293/_Nano_Wordle

Just had a rather unnerving experience...
Sometimes, when I get bogged down writing I'll poke around the NaNo forum. While doing so a short time ago (in the 'report technical bugs' part of the forum, ironically), I experienced the Infamous Blue Screen of Death.
Thankfully, I'd saved my story before that, but had not yet done the day's external backup. When I rebooted, that was the first order of business. Whew!

Agh, stupid NaNo website. It wouldn't say on the stats how much I'd written, and so it looks like I wrote nothing yesterday, and 2.4 already today!! xDD So annoying.
Whenever I totally give up on my book, I res-assure myself that I'll do a wonderful job editing.

Yea, they were having issues yesterday. However, it was fixed before the end of the day. And it did keep your word count that you entered, it just didn't show it on the stats page.
My novel is like 95% purple prose. It's awful.

MoonlightDancer: Heh. My novel's an odd sight. One chapter I've got purple prose, and the next it's beige.
I made a wordle out of my prologue. *never thought it would be that fun*

That excerpt from your story doesn't indicate in the slightest to me that you have "horrible writing abilities"! Far from it! Having read your synopsis and excerpt, I can say with certainty that I'm looking forward to reading your story when you're done! And I know what you mean about wanting quite desperately to go back and edit what you've written; I haven't done NaNo at all, but I'm a perfectionist, too, and whenever I write a post or anything, I go back and reread/rewrite like crazy! (Which makes me wonder if I should even try NaNo next year! )
awww thanks so much Nellie, I'd love to send you a copy of my book when I am finished with it
I know what you mean about editing post all the time, I do the same thing Oh and it would be so wonderful if you would do NaNo next year
Ela and Ruby those excerpts are just amazing, they got me wondering what was happening and what was going to happen next
I'm a bit behind right now, finding time to write is so difficult with college, homework and my job, I'm at 32k right now, I hope to reach 40k today, seeing as I am home the whole day I am very upset with my novel though, everything seems to be going along so slowly and terribly boring, I'll have a LOT of editing to do in December
oh and I guess I should confess, I did edit a bit, just a tiny tiny bit there was this one scene and I moved it a bit ealier, I didn't really change it, just moved it to an earlier time in the story, it made more sense that way
and here's another small excpert from my novel for anyone who is interested Dragon Eyes excerpt
