Trust me, that's not bad at all. I've heard of people with the last name of "Canoe" that have named their daughters "Ima" and "Sheza". I wouldn't be surprised if those girls had self-esteem issues. Then there's the "Bear" family that named their kids "Black" and "Brown". Not as bad, but still. Now that's just plain cruel.

The only one I'm thinking is a bit cruel is Peter Elessar. For those who don't know it's roots, it could quite easily be a feminine name.
The others are lovely though.

Haha then I should change it to Peter Aragorn, but it just doesn't roll off your tongue like Peter Elessar does. Another one I really like was Joseph Meriadoc or Adelaide Undomiel (I just learned that Arwen is elvish for Adelaide so it was a cool surprise). lol I basically have my children named. The only person standing in my way is my future husband.
And naming your kid black or brown is kind of cruel. Acutally thats just mean. lol

I still think it's more cruel to name your kids "Ima Canoe" and "Sheza Canoe" (say it out loud and you'll get it).
By the way, sillygoose, it's not weird that you basically have your kids named. I have all of my boy's names already decided:
Austin Ordean
Joshua Ammon
Jordan Aaron
David Omner
Matthew Himni
I keep changing the names I want for my girls, though. But I bet there are a lot of girls that have their kids' names planned out. (Not to mention their wedding. ).

Yeah..I have my wedding planned out too haha..
Ohh those names are so cute! I only have like two girls name while I have like 5 boy names planned out.
Nealan Mithrandir (my favorite one!!)
Peter Elessar
Joseph Meriadoc
Daniel Peregrin
Matthew Rilian
My friends were all like how many kids do you plan on having? why all those names? Haha we'll just have to see lol

Maria Clara sounds beautiful to me. Because of Noli Me Tangere (Jose Rizal's obra maestra).

Yeah, well, with as many kids as I plan on having (around 8), if I have more than five boys, I'm in trouble.
I have a few girls names, but they are more apt to change than my boys' names:
Sashaya (I made it up for a short story and fell in love with it)
Tamara
Karen
Kaeley
Stacy (?)
Kenzi
Hmm, I'm starting to see a pattern with the "K" names...

That's very beautiful. When my best friend and I would play imaginary games in elementary school, "Marie" and "Claire" were two names she used most often. When I think of Marie I think of The Aristocats. Marie is so cute. And when I think of Maria I think of a bunch of nuns singing about all the problems they are having with one of the sisters (from The Sound of Music).

When I was younger, I planned on having twelve children, and I had them all named. Now.....
Um, not so much. And since my list of favorite names changes constantly, I've given up even trying to come up with permanent names. Although I might give one of my kids Caoimhe for a middle name, just for kicks.
But I would never be so cruel as to make that her first name. I feel sorry for the poor kids who give their kids names that are way too unique. Especially in public schools, it's just a really, really bad idea. Which is why I've adopted a "Mullet" philosophy. Normal in the front, party in the back.

Haha I planned on having 7 lol.
Maria Clara sounds pretty. It sounds like one of those classic old romantic novel names.
Oh and a possible girl name would be Madeleine Galadriel. Haha loonngg name lol

I was going to have 20 kids at one time, and live on a farm! Top that!

That's my sister for you >.>
I want a daughter named Luthien Grace, and call her Grace. Love it.
I love for guys Sean and Chris.
I love the name Estel for a guy, even though it sounds girly. In fact in one of the (worst) of the stories I made up, there was this Mary of Scots type queen who had twins named Estel and Niniel, "hope" and "tears". I had fun.....

Speaking of Tolkien names, I love the name Melian (Luthien's mother). Maybe Melian Marie. Or Elizabeth Melian. Or Melly for short and everyone would think it was short for Melanie.
Luthien Grace is pretty. Or Luthien Christine. Now you've got me started on fantasy women's names. I'd be more likely to name a girl one than a boy. I don't think a boy would like being called Beren or Feanor, or Caspian, or Finrod, or Rilian. Though I could probably get an Edmund. Here are some names based on book characters.
Edmund Ransom
Helena Haleth
Varda Eleanora
Nessa Alexandra
Elanor Maria
Elwin Clark
Lucy Celebrindal

I like Aphrodite as a name, it sounds powerful and it makes me go, whooa. Haha. .
"Two sides of the same coin"
Yes, who wouldn't want to be named after a goddess of love?
Here are a couple more of mine:
John Peregrine
Ella Nienna.
Maybe if I had girl twins I would name them Nessa and Nienna.
