I feel so sad. I have not played piano in a week! I'm at college now and I was so excited because there's a piano in the lounge in my dorm! So I went in there and played chords and very sadly, it's horribly out of tune and at least 80% of the keys above high G don't play.

sandyentersnarnia, I play lots of pieces. Some classical and some fakebook stuff.

Classical: I've played a bunch of stuff including Sonatina in C: Opus 36, No. 1 by Muzio Clementi, Spinning Song by Albert Ellmenreich, L'Orage by Johann Burgmuller, Adagio and Furiant by Zdenek Fibich, Miniature by Cornelius Gurlitt, and Sonatina in A Minor by Jiri Benda. Those are just some of my recital pieces over the past few years. There's a few others that I can kind of still play that my piano teacher has assigned.

I play a lot out of fakebooks. I have two modern worship fakebooks that I love playing out of.

dryad_daughter7, nice! Sounds very much like me right after I started. I saved up and bought an electric (which I would do again, although I would have saved longer and bought a nicer one), but I found I like acoustic better. An acoustic is easier to pour emotion into.

I play violin too! Do you like to play anything classical like Bach or anything?

Lady Lilliandil, I used to play classical, but i don't much anymore. As for the sheet music im not the best reader and just usually play by ear. But looks like narnian_at_heart posted a site that might help. i like a lot of bands, like Newsboys, Casting Crowns, Jeremy Camp etc. I want to get in a music group at some point.

I have looked but there is not much for violin. You like newsboys too!!! I love that band!!! What is your favorite song by them? I love to play by ear too. I can make super sad music and then I go back to sheet music. I usually work on a couple pieces at a time. I have the scale book and everything. Have you ever had privet lessons?
