I hope you all know the "fifth fret" trick. If you don't have a tuner, the least you can do is tune all your strings to one another. To do this, put your finger on the bottom E on the fifth fret and play it with the next string (A), tune it to the bottom E by ear. Do that for all the rest. Except for the B string. put your finger on the 4th fret on string G for that one.

I tried to play more guitar today- and man do my fingers hurt! I feel bad for them, between practicing piano and trying to develop callouses .

'Ello everyone! =D I play piano and guitar. I started both at the same time about 4 and a half years ago. I have perfomed in front of audiences several times, though I'm still not used to it. I rather play with groups so that if I do mess up, I won't be heard as well!! I love playing piano. I play that more than guitar. I don't write my own music, though, does randomly hitting keys in a pretty sounding order count?

I play the piano! I have played since I was 7...its so fun! We have recitals twice a year and I play in those also. All of my sisters and my mom plays the piano too.

DoE1792: It should count, because I do that with guitar chords.
Ali: I have the guitar, but it needs three new bridge pins and corresponding strings before I can play it. My parents are going to get them for me when they are in town, but they won't get back until late the 20th.

I just got back from a 2-week harp camp and a couple nights before it ended some friends and I tried whipping up Fireflies together on multiple harps... this is what we came up with:

My guitar is all fixed up now! It doesn't sound as bell-like as my Fender dreadnought, but the tone is quite nice.

we were supposed to get a new upright piano but my dad never said for sure if we could get it or not so they people sold it to someone else . Oh well, I'm hoping we might get our old one tuned. Or a keyboard .

Our upright piano needs re-stringed. But since the piano tuner is only in town for a few days every six months, it would sound... bad.
