Also, HitGrabs "The 12 Mice of Christmas" calendar was pretty enough that I printed it off and stuck it to my wall.
Now I'm trying to decide if I should leave the area and go after the mice I haven't caught yet
My strategy is to make gold. LOL So yes, I'm hunting elsewhere. I have a hunch (and hopefully it will be correct!) that the harder the special Christmas mice get, the more likely they will drop frozen fromage. For the record, you can't do anything with it yet. The King has hired the Scientists in Digby to work on it.
However, my husband's strategy is to collect as many Christmas boxes as he can to get goodies to hunt with after the event is over.
So it's up to you.
By the way...... in a moment of complete and utter randomness, I don't know how many people have seen the new Christmas gift you can send to friends that's an Oyster with two tickets in it? Well, I know I'm not the only one who's going to completely NOT get that. (Thanks Ara for filling me in)

(The above video has a shirtless guy in it, so if you will be offended by that, don't click. )
Well, I've got the plans for the Gingerbread house, but I need gingerbread to finish building it. I think I have all the candies and sugar I need left over from last year. I caught a Toy Mouse, so I've got the first of the 12 mice. I'm wanting to save my gingerbread for crafting; will that prevent me from getting all the festival mice? I know gingerbread cheese attracts them better than the other kinds.
Booky, I sent you a plank this morning. I hope that helps. Just post in here how many you still need, and I'm sure that between the rest of us, you'll have it in no time.
I thought that the frozen fromage was just typical to be dropped, but apparently it isn't. I got it on my first toy mouse , but I haven't gotten one since then, so either it is quite rare, or you can only have one in your inventory, or you can only get one per festive mouse. I don't know.
My current strategy is to hunt in the Festive Comet whenever there are "new-release-mice" in there, but once I've done that, I'm heading over to Digby (the scientists over there require my assistance ). Actually, I'm hunting the Digby Dirt Dwellers in an attempt to up my points (so that I can by the tribal base, and upgrade to the rhinobot, and also to get the monolith base that the big bad burroughs mouse drops)

The BBB doesn't always drop the monolith. I've caught 2 and have yet to get the base. But I'll start sending you some sludge instead of stale cheese Digs.
Booky, there are going to be some mice that just won't come to anything but gingerbread. Especially as the event goes on. Some of the ones last year were hard to catch even with gingerbread so you had to use SB if you wanted to catch them in a short amount of time.
After I catch the mouse being released today, I think I'm going to head back to the Tribal Isles. I've been buying crates of shells, delicious stones, and savoury veggies so I can craft the cheeses needed to go after seeds quickly with the KR I'm getting from the boxes. I want to go after the heat bath blueprints again. I also want to go after the acolyte, but I need more stale cheese before I tackle that.
So. . . I just got these meteorite pieces as loot, and was wonderring what exactly they do. I see that they're used in crafting moon cheese, but is that really any better than using ancient or radioactive blue (apart from obviously attracting more lycan mice)

I've never actually used the meteorite pieces. Hopefully they'll come up with another way to use them then just moon cheese.
I'd really love more Gingerbread, anybody!

more gingerbread, coming right up!
For me, I am driven by two main philosophies: know more today about the world than I knew yesterday, and along the way, lessen the suffering of others. You'd be surprised how far that gets you. - Neil deGrasse Tyson
Today is the release of the Christmas Tree Mouse. Last year it required SuperBrie to catch. I haven't seen anyone snag it yet this year (though I haven't been paying close attention) so if anyone catches it with Gingerbread, please post here to say so!
1:09 pm - Festive Comet
I sounded the Hunter's Horn and was successful in the hunt! I caught a 2 oz. Christmas Tree Mouse worth 2,600 points and 1,200 gold.
O, Christmas Tree, O, Christmas Tree... Gingerbread Cheese must work.
And now I have snagged mine as well. Thanks Kathy!
By the way, just so everybody knows, you don't have to send me gingerbread right now. I have plenty! So save your gold in case they add some cool LE traps/bases or something.
And also, if you send me a free daily gift, please make it stale cheese or radioactive sludge. Those are the only two items I can use.
Thanks!
How's everybody else doing?
I knew I had caught the Christmas Tree Mouse!
I caught a Christmas Tree Mouse!
I checked my trap and found that I had caught a mouse! I caught a 11 oz. Christmas Tree Mouse worth 2,600 points and 1,200 gold.

Ditto and Ditto. I have gingerbread coming out my ears at the moment. Thanks to everyone who has sent me some! No more at the moment please.
I'm hoping to make another run after the acolyte so stale cheese is a great gift. I've been sending that out so it'll help build up stale cheese stores for everyone. That stuff comes in handy and you run through it a lot faster than you think you will.
I'm up to date with my FC mice. I may just stay put today. Not sure yet. May go back to the tribal isles.
I'm back, huntin in Digby. It took me forever to catch a Christmas Tree mouse, but I finally got one, and today I caught the subterranean mouse!
As is expected in Digby, gifts of radioactive sludge are GREATLY appreciated. I can't have enough of that. Gingerbread planks are also appreciated (send me one, and I'll send one back )

I sent everybody a Slightly Smaller Gift today. Hope it doesn't torment you all too badly.
Congrats on the Subterranean Mouse DiGs. How many mice do you still have left to catch in Digby? Just the rare Nugget mouse?
