I finally caught an Elub Lich!!!! Hurray! Now I just need a Derr Lich before I can craft another batch of VVS.

That being said, I will probably leave Balack's Cove here in a little bit due to the fact that the birthday event will be starting. Even after the birthday event, I'm thinking that I'll be spending the weekend in the King's Gauntlet.

Well the birthday event is up and running and looks fun. I love the bouncy King's Castle artwork.
And.... go figure, I've already sent out daily gifts so I can't send anyone charms or potions til tomorrow. I'll warn you all though, I have 18 friends that play and can only send 10 gifts a day so except something from me every other day.

ETA: Oh my word, I just looked at the stats on the Birthday Candle Kaboom trap. That is insane.

I have momentarily given up my quest for scrap metal in the interests of celebrating at the Birthday Party. I haven't caught any of the event mice or gotten any potions or boxes yet. The Dwarf Mouse looks really cute in his clown outfit though.

Edit: that's weird. I could have sworn I had 998 posts the last time I was on here....weird. Anyhow, on with the hunt! I want a Birthday Mouse.

And I caught a silvertail without super brie! (At least. . . I think that he's a super brie only mouse!) At any rate, I haven't caught any of the new event mice, but hopefully I'll get one of them with the three pieces of cupcake colby that I still have.

And I agree, the stats on that trap are insane! A 30% power bonus is INSANE! If you pair that with a decent base, that would be INSANER!!!!! (Why yes. . . I just said insaner )

@Digs, I believe in the past it was possible to catch Superbrie mice during events without superbrie Either its one of those cases or its like my "encountering a bear in the meadow" senario. (Still don't know where that Hydra came from either... were they at the festive comet? Maybe it was there...)

I'm another who would prefer the potions. I've got a terrible twos mouse. I'll probably pick a day to send out the charms, but the rest of the time I'll send out the potions.

I love the new base! The new trap looks great too! It looks at least comparable to the Christmas Cracker Trap once the power bonus is figured in. Putting the new trap plus the new base together also looks pretty spectacular.

Yes, I'm up at 2:30 AM. I was gone all afternoon/evening and just now was able to catch my first event mouse... a Terrible Twos mouse with the Birthday Cake base. I armed my NVRMC with my new base and of course the Cupcake Colby, as well as my charms, as that seems to be my best setup. I suppose we'll see how that does.

Edit: My gingerbread base seems to do a bit better, actually!

The good news is, I have caught 2 of the 3 new birthday mice. The bad news is, only one of them dropped the special item needed for the new trap. Interestingly enough, the Buckethead Mouse is the ONLY one I've seen drop its item. I haven't looked at the MH forums yet, but I'm wondering if this is a bug of some kind? Or just bad luck? Or maybe the devs are holding off on us so we stick around the bday event longer? Either way, I'm not too worried, I figured if it gets to be a big deal they'll add them in like crazy like they did with the Scrooge Mouse and his Heart of Ice.

Oh, and I got SB+ in one of the birthday boxes.

ETA: 15 min later, I got the Pintail Mouse, no drop though, but I have all of the mice!

I've caught a Sleepwalker mouse, a Silvertail mouse and a Longtail mouse. I had never caught those...

I need the Buckethead mouse, the Pintail mouse and the Terrible Twos mouse.

Right now, I'm using the Rewers/Candy Cane Base setup. I have 2 Nanny charms and 3 pieces of Cupcake Colby.

I haven't caught any of the event mice yet

Edit 2! I just caught the Buckethead, and the Magic, so yeah Digs I think the Superbrie only ones you can catch with Cupcake Colby at the moment

I got a drop from the Pintail, FK, but my Buckethead didn't drop. My one birthday gift so far included some King's Credits and a Scientist's Charm.

So, the new trap and base are worth it? That'll set me back a bit on my Gorgon/Tribal savings, but if it will be worth getting I'll do it.

Well so far I caught the Buckethead, Magic, Silvertail (I had one of these before though), and the Pintail. I ran out of Cupcake Colby however so I'm trying to catch another Cowardly. In the meantime I've been getting a lot of orb drops

As far as the base goes, it's pretty inexpensive and I got it as a collectible. Though this one is a straight upgrade of the Wooden Base with Target and I doubt I'll ever use it.

The trap though, if you don't have the Chrome Drillbot, I highly recommend getting it. It doesn't have as much luck as the Christmas Cracker Trap, but the power bonus is pretty crazy on it, as is the attraction. So yeah, I'm gonna recommend this one.

Congrats to everybody who has gotten new mice. Whether they be event mice or the Indigenous Mice you didn't have before.
