1 yellow + 1 red = Orange Pepper Plant
Orange Peppers = Creamy Havarti -> Jurassic Mouse

1 yellow + 1 blue = Green Pepper Plant
Green Peppers = Crunchy Havarti -> Fetid Swamp Mouse

1 blue + 1 red = Purple Pepper Plant
Purple Peppers = Pungent Havarti -> Chitinous Mouse

2 yellow = Yellow Pepper Plant
Yellow Peppers = Sweet Havarti -> Primal Mouse

2 blue = Blue Pepper Plant
Blue Peppers = Magical Havarti -> Stone Warrior Mouse

2 red = Red Pepper Plant
Red Peppers = Spicy Havarti -> Magma Mouse

Those six mice each drop a piece of the Ancient box trap and fire salt. Fire salt is used for....

1 red + 1 blue + 1 yellow = Inferno Pepper Plant
Inferno Peppers + Fire Salt = Inferno Havarti -> The Draconic Mice

The recipes are a bit more complicated than that, but I'm waaaay too lazy to link them all. ;))

Well it looks like the next event should be arriving either tonight or tomorrow. Or maybe in the next five minutes, not sure. ;))
But there are two posts on the Official Mousehunt Facebook page that are very intriguing. However if you're avoiding picture spoilers of the three new prize mice they're releasing, don't click.

Yesterday: For the upcoming King's Giveaway event, three BRAND NEW Prize Mice are being introduced! These mice carry a lot of valuables with them, so catching them will win you awesome prizes! The event begins very soon, so start getting warmed up!

2 minutes ago: A sneak peek?! Yup! Here's a sneak peek at the upcoming King's Giveaway event! Can you guess what each step is? The event is ALMOST here, so make sure to get some good bait and arm your traps now!

I love special events. :D :D :D :D

FK, what do you think they mean by "special bait?" Do you think that the mice are going to be limitted to one area in particular, and that they're only going to eat a particular cheese?

*Really hopes that some LE traps come up!!!

Any clues scattered about as to the best way to work on catching these prize mice?

(MH's overview is here)

Well, for starters, you shouldn't be using any of these baits:

•Gilded
•Gauntlet Cheese Tier 4
•Gauntlet Cheese Tier 5
•Gauntlet Cheese Tier 6
•Gauntlet Cheese Tier 7
•Gauntlet Cheese Tier 8
•Wicked Gnarly Cheese
•Susheese
•Glutter Cheese
•Combat Cheese
•Rumble Cheese
•Onyx Gorgonzola
•Shell Cheese
•Gumbo Cheese
•Crunchy Cheese
•ALL types of Havarti Cheese
•Vengeful Vanilla Stilton
•Checkmate Cheese

The devs think that people work hard enough to get these cheeses without having them stolen.

The way I'm doing this is by using the strongest trap setup I have (which is ACRONYM with Gingerbread base). I'm hunting in the catacombs, so that I can make some money on the side. So long as you're not in the meadow, I don't see any problems with using just about anything.

No clues necessarily, just good ol' common Mousehunting sense. :)
Head to someplace you can catch mice on a regular basis rather than a really hard area. (Right now would be an excellent time to farm potions if you'll ever need them!) Equip a lucky trap setup. Luck increases item drop rate so more luck means more Lucky Coins. :) And don't be stupid like me and accidentally rub a coin and therefore waste it. :P :))
Thanks for that list DiGs, I hadn't see that yet.

I hadn't seen that list either. Thanks for the tip on coin rubbing! So far, I'm trying to make sure I only throw coins in the wells of people I KNOW are playing, so that they get a boost, too.

Congrats on catching a prize mouse, F_K! :D

I'm tossing coins into the wells of people that haven't played forever. . . this way I get more points ;))

woot! I caught a Treasurer Mouse! now to just work on increasing my prize power again... ;))

See the armies so arrayed,
Line on line, ten thousand strong.
See the Dragon King’s sharp blade,
Rising to a song!
See his enemies laid low!
Hear our voices sing:
Let glory crown the victor’s brow,
In the Hall of the Dragon King!

Wow. Unexpectedly caught a Snooty Mouse! ;)) Now to stare pitifully at my Prize Power meter that sits at lowly '0' ... ;)

I sounded the Hunter's Horn, but my efforts were fruitless. A Snooty Mouse ate a piece of cheese without setting off my trap.

Nooooooooooooooooo!!!! :((

lol, at least it didn't reset my trap, which I was slightly afraid of.

I'm tossing coins into the wells of people that haven't played forever. . . this way I get more points

But then you don't increase the stats of the other people who are really playing....

So.... here's my very very loose understanding of how this works.
If your prize power is in range between 0-50, the prize mouse you are most likely to encounter is the Treasurer Mouse. If your PP is between 50-100 the mouse you are most likely to encounter is the Snooty Mouse. If it's 100+ it's the High Roller. Not static, but there it is.

So now my personal strategy is this... going to head to the Meadow where it's impossible to catch a prize mouse and stock up on Prize Points. Once I reach about 125, I'll go somewhere else and try to catch it. :) See if I get it before the event ends. ;))

Which by the way, Dev. Dave (the head honcho) said he predicts the event will last about five days, so three more to go or so. (It's determined by when all the prizes that are available are given away)

EDIT: Changed my mind on the Meadow cause apparently those mice don't drop lucky coins either. ;)) Instead using cheeses that won't attract prize mice and will be moving around a lot.

I am currently sitting at 23 prize points, but not a single prize mouse has passed my way. I just switched back to using the Mary O'Nette instead of the trebuchet to see if the increased luck will help. As soon as this special event is over I'm going to head back to the Harbour and see if I can get that map piece. I was over there earlier in the week, but was having a dreadful time trying to catch those mice. Stealing my cheese and my gold! [-x

Didn't manage to snag the High Roller before my timer came up on the Snooty and Treasurer. So I got another Treasurer with 173 PP. ARRRGGG.
Oh well. ;))
Thanks everybody who's been sending me gifts and tossing coins into my well.
I've been trying to send equal amounts of stuff to everybody since I have more than 10 friends who play. And now I've been favoring people who haven't caught any mice. :)
