Digs, I think you're doing all the doom and gloom stuff to me that kat and FK did to you. Nevertheless, I soldier on.
Anyway, I've resolved myself: I started with 300 pieces of gouda--I ain't crafting cheese until that is really low!
Bon chance with the Acolyte Realm!

Oh dear, I hope that's not the case! You're doing remarkably well, and I'm quite pleased for you. I remember it taking me a while to get drops of savoury veggies, because I was using Ambush, and it's luck wasn't that great. Rewer's once again, is knocking everybody out of the park .

I had it easier than Fantasia did and you guys have it easier than I did. So it was a bit more "doom and gloom" when we went through it.
But still was a lot of fun.
Besides, if we didn't play up worst case scenario, you guys wouldn't have as much fun proving us wrong! lol
I don't think I have ever had to be all 'doom and gloom' with Lady A, because she has one thing that I certainly don't have, and that's patience.
She was in the Dojo for soooooo long just contentedly hunting, that by the time she progressed on, she was more than ready to catch the Masters.
And she's also going into the Tribal Isles with 1 out of 3 traps that is waaay better than what you're able to upgrade to while hunting there (Rewers). The second trap is equal to the upgrade at the moment and can be upgraded furtherer (Toboggan). The third trap is equal to the upgrade (Christmas Cracker Trap). So she'll have a pretty easy time there I suspect.

There are still a few places in the game where even charms won't help too much. Balack's Cove, Lagoon (Silth Mouse specifically), and Zugzwang's Tower. The first two rely on attracting the right mouse in the first place and they're still so difficult that even orbs will not guarantee a catch. Zugzwang's Tower, only the Attraction Orb will really make much of a difference (if you're not using SuperBrie). The tower amplifier will take care of that.
DiGs, I will really try to remember to send you Stale Cheese on a daily basis.

Thanks. I'm down to 28 pieces.
I've started using the recipe for runic cheese that uses magic essence. I decided to do this to A: save on stale cheese, and B: because I got 40+ super-brie from surveys/offers yesterday . I'm up to 39 pieces of runic, and hopefully will be able to catch an acolyte when the forbidden grove closes at 8PM tonight.

I was wondering...
Should I go to the Catacombs and purchase the Obelisk of Slumber? I'm trying to work my way up to being able to craft the ACRONYM. I have about 550,000 gold.

There's no real rush on purchasing that trap. I don't think you'll use it until you actually get to the Catacombs. So if you're still working on the Assassin Mouse, I"d just wait til you are ready for that trap. And huge congrats on your Dojo Sensei by the way.
Alrighty, then. I'll wait...to buy it and to catch the Assassin mouse, who is such a bother!
I need more Brie... *makes note to self*
Thank you! When I saw that I caught him, I nearly squealed!

Yes, to those of you who bought the Rewer's Riposte, it took me MANY frustrations to catch a dojo sensei. My current track record with said mouse is 3 catches, 44 misses. Two of those catches were with Rewer's, and one of them was with the Horrific Venus Mouse Trap.
I've heard that Rewer's is the best tactical trap in the game, but is it even better than Zugzwang's first move?
At any rate, congratulations, Chloe. The Dojo Sensei is one of the mice of the game.

Early stats say yes... my personal opinion, they're a tie, though I almost always favor luck over power just cause it has extra benefits. But Zugzwang's First Move is probably my favorite looking trap in the game. I actually use both of them in Zugzwang's Tower because of the way that area is set up.
Well, I've just caught my first Lycan mouse- meaning I've caught 6 of the 7 Shadow Clan mice!! That vampire is next and shouldn't be too hard.
It also dropped the Furoma map piece too!

I sounded the Hunter's Horn, but my efforts were fruitless. A Wicked Witch of Whisker Woods Mouse ate a piece of cheese without setting off my trap.
Well at least I encountered one.
Currently I'm using the explosive base and swiss army mouse trap, good plan? I know a tactiacal would be better here, and I'm trying to save up enough to get it... so far I'm doing pretty good with that actually

I've heard it said somewhere in this thread, wolf, but if you're attracting the mice then you're doing something right. Not sure exactly what tips the scales in favor of attracting and catching though.

It's definitely going to be easier catching her while using a tactical trap. However, I wouldn't say that it's impossible to catch her using a physical trap.
What tactical trap are you planning on purchasing? The Venus Mouse Trap?

@Digs, yep, infact if I'm not mistaken, its the only one I can purchase, definitely the cheapest...
