Of course you can call me wolf
Currently I'm using the Mouse Rocketine with the Stone Base, but as soon as I level up to Journeyman I plan on crafting the Dehydration Base and possibly using that instead. I have everything I need, I just can't craft with three items yet
What's your rank and trap setup FK? I know you're quite aways ahead of me

Rank = Baroness I'm at 76% right now, so I'll be hitting Countess maybe in a couple months?
As far as trap setups go, it depends on where I'm hunting. My most commonly used traps are, ACRONYM, Chrome Drillbot, Zugzwang's First Move, Heat Bath and Clockapult of Time. And the two bases I switch between are the Magma Base and Spellbook Base.
I'm in the meditation room right now, and we'll see how this goes. I think I might have the wrong bait for the wrong room, but I don't particularly feel like checking it now
Dojo = Brie Cheese = Students
Mediation Room = Combat Cheese, Glutter Cheese, Sucheese = Master of the Fang, Master of the Belt, Master of the Claw
Pinnacle Chamber = Rumble Cheese, Onyx Gorgonzola = Master of the Dojo, Dojo Sensei
Yep yep, I thought I was one level off... Oh well. The nice thing about Furoma is, even if you have the wrong bait, you'll still catch hapless mice.
Okay, with the Candy Cane Base, Rewers Riposte, and Onyx Gorgonzola, I have an effectiveness of "mild." Blew the horn once, and missed. I shall update next time I blow ze horn. I think I'll be jumping through all three of the levels today, since I don't want to leave my trap in the Pinnacle Chamber unattended.
To compare...
Candy Cane Base, Zugzwang's Last Move:
Trap power: 2,875
Power Bonus: 15%
Power Type: Tactical
Luck: 15
Attraction Bonus: None
Cheese Effect: Very Fresh
Effectiveness: Mild
Candy Cane Base, Rewers Riposte:
Trap power: 3,680
Power Bonus: 15%
Power Type: Tactical
Luck: 33
Attraction Bonus: 5%
Cheese Effect: Very Fresh
Effectiveness: Mild

Yeah, you guys are a ways ahead of me
I leveled up in the middle of the night to Journeyman, travelled to the Mountain, and made a Dehydration base. I caught two or three new species, including a Ninja Mouse which dropped the Burroughs Laboratory Map Piece (ok something there is spelt wrong)
Wahoo!!!

Congrats on hitting Journeyman wolf!!!
It's winter in the tower and I definitely see an improvement in the catch rate with the Double Diamond trap. Wonder how the cackle lantern does in Fall.
I'm in the Harbour, inching my way through Legendary and getting kind of impatient. I'm enjoying the different charms though, and finding a bit of success with those.

I decided to try out Digby again, since the update that included all the underground mice happened after I'd moved on from there. I'm having a tough time attracting and catching the BBB Mouse. Any suggestions?

Well, I'm back in the Catacombs, and I'm going to farm some gold. Just brewed 768 pieces of radioactive, so I should be set for a while.
My plan, as of now:
1. Leave the Dojo alone. I don't feel like using up my remaining onyx stones to get more gorgonzola.
2. Leave the Acolyte realm alone.
3. Get enough gold to buy a ton and a half of cheese (I hate having to travel to buy more cheese. )
4. Craft my ship.
I figure by the time I finish these, I'll be whatever is above Hero, since I seem to be rocketing through it. I'm at 49% right now, and likely to keep up a good rate with my phone app.

*bounds in*
A few days ago, I moved into the King's Gaunlet to attempt the first 4 tiers. I completed the first, and I'm almost done with the second. I just need to catch the Rogue mouse and then I'll move onto the third.
I also finally caught a Hope mouse.

Here's a little piece of advice that some of you may or may not find useful (particularly those of you who are farming gold, and don't have ACRONYM yet).
If you bought the Rewer's Riposte trap from Ronza, it actually does MARVELOUSLY well against the Nerg Tribe. If you can travel to the tribal isles yet (rank of Legendary), and need gold, then it would definitely be worth while to equip the RR trap with your strongest base (I'm using the tiki base, but I don't know how many of you have that as of yet).
I have only missed one mouse in a twelve hour period, and have made close to forty-thousand in gold (in the same amount of time). Just a thought

Ooo, nice to know, Digs. Unfortunately, I think I need to finish my ship, first.
Is that correct, that I need my ship before I can reach the Isles? Or did I forget to hunt for a drop some place?

Hm.....I don't remember when I last posted in here..... Anyhow, I am now Legendary. I only managed to buy the Rewers Riposte and some splintered wood from Ronza, but I am quite satisfied as RR is the best trap I currently have when combined with the Candy Cane Base. And I did manage to snag one Rockstar Mouse.
So, I went to the Lagoon and picked up the Ship blueprints and then I went to the Mountain and it only took a few hours to get the Burroughs map piece and now I'm hanging out in the Laboratory. I do have the key to the Town of Digby, but I'm not sure if I want to head over there just yet.
Question: which is better, the Amrosial Portal or the Sinister Portal? Either way, it will be my first Shadow trap. Or should I save up another 300,000 gold and get the Digby Drillbot first?
Lady Arwen, That's correct. Once you build your ship, you'll be able to collect the parts to craft the ocean navigation kit. Once you have that, you'll be able to head over to the tribal isles.
daughter of the King, you'll definitely want to purchase the sinister portal. (Unless you were around for the halloween event and managed to get the Pumpkin Pummeler). The sinister portal has a stale cheese rating that you'll DESPERATELY need later on in the game. Don't worry about the Digby Drillbot for now. You can always get it later

No surprise there. The numbers I'm seeing on the MH forum are confirming this is the best tactical trap in the game. So congrats to everyone who got it!

That's correct.
Question: which is better, the Amrosial Portal or the Sinister Portal?
I DEFINITELY prefer the Sinister Portal. Back in the day I got the Ambrosial Portal first and had the worst time catching mice with it. I actually sold it back and bought the Sinister Portal instead I hated it so much. A significant loss in gold at the time, but the Sinister Portal did much better for me.
Or should I save up another 300,000 gold and get the Digby Drillbot first?
You won't need the Digby Drillbot until you get to the Tribal Islands. I'd skip it for now, but it's up to you.
I do have the key to the Town of Digby, but I'm not sure if I want to head over there just yet.
I peeked at your profile, there's nothing left for you to do in the Laboratory unless you want a larger stockpile of Radioactive Blue Potions. (In case you were wondering)
ETA: What DiGs said.
And... I didn't get the Rewer's Riposte. Oh well, I'll survive.
So I just wanted to say this to people who understand. Winter in the Season Gardens... is a very unpleasant affair! The end.
