I thought that you were already finished with Zugzwang's Tower. If you've already got everything you need for your spellbook base then I really wouldn't make those pawn pinchers a priority right now. The only time you'll need to go back to the garden is for library assignments (which can be done elsewhere,) tournaments (which aren't required for game play.) or special events (which are impossible to predict). If you're close to your spellbook base (AKA, only need one or two more pages) then I might not even bother about getting them because they are a LOT of money, especially considering everything else that you should buy.
And by the way, 4,000,000 is a LOT of gold, even with a ton of things to buy , but I understand what you're saying. I've got 3,000,000 right now, and it's taken me months to save that much.

I noticed they added a few Balack's Cove based Tourneys
I just need my platinum bars and I'm all set. I can afford them all now, but I wouldn't have much left over (maybe about 5,000 after travel costs)

Ah man... those look fun but I will not be around during those tournies. Bah humbug indeed.
Maybe they'll have something on Sunday though, that would be a good day for tournaments.
ETA: Oh, and I finally spent all of my Ice Coins. I basically got a little bit of everything cause I didn't know what I'd want for tournaments and such.
I asked this before, but know one answered...
Anyone know where I can find the Mouse of Winter Future?

The wiki says that he's at the Festive Comet.

He's definitely in the third leg of the Snow Fortress run. Unfortunately I don't know where he is elsewhere in the game.

That's where he was last year but I don't think he's there this year cause none of the low-level people caught him.
Is it normal to use up some 120 pieces of Runic cheese without catching a single Acolyte? I've been using the ABT and whatever base I feel like. Usually the Candycane base because it has the highest power and luck combo then any of my other bases. I've also tried every other base I have: Dehydration, Aqua, and even the Explosive base. (The only ones I haven't tried are the Wooden base and the Wooden base with Target for obvious reasons.)
Not much other news. I really want to catch that Acolyte so I can craft the Ice Maiden. And I'm also hoping Ronza shows up soon so I can see what she has to sell. I've almost reached my goal of 3 million gold. I'm at 2.88 right now.
Also, where does Ronza go when she comes? Do you have to go to a specific area in order to shop from her? Or can you shop from whatever area you happen to be in?

Short answer? Yes. The Acolyte was the original "super hard mouse". Now, having said that, you're definitely on the unlucky side of things. Most of us catch him within 50 pieces of cheese. But I've seen a lot of people on the forums that use at least 200 pieces before they catch him.
The best setup that you can get right now is the ABT and Candy Cane Base. The Tiki Base if you want to spend gold on it right now will increase your catch rate by about .07%. (Probably not worth it.)
Are you using charms? The Super Rotten Charm is your best inexpensive bet, and the Prospector Charm is next.

She has her own location.
Nothing new to report from me other than wintermester starting up again so I'm not online as often for tournies. *sigh* Anyhow, I'll probably stay in the comet/fortress area until the snow melts and then hang out in Catacombs until Ronza comes. And then I'm going Balack hunting! (again)
Well I had the brilliant idea of going to the furoma catch rates page to figure out where the Mouse of Winter Future is hiding...
Great idea, until I discovered they didn't update they're page for the event
I hope it doesn't take me 200 pieces to get the Acolyte! Staling runic cheese put me back to 90 pieces, in fact as we speak I'm in the forbidden grove. I need more runes

DIGS:yeah im done with ZT, and ran it at least 10 times in total, im referring to the OAT and BSP the ZT ultratraps
WOlf: my first run for acolyte was... disastrous, but no it did not take me 200pieces of runic cheese. BTW, did u save 60 runes? ur going to want that since it takes a long time to get 60 runes, unless ur acolyte drop was runes
Waiting for ROnza to appear, and omp, my exams are coming...less time on computer...
SG is boring as always, going to get stuck here...ZTing my last few percent 7% left and im a happy baron
Another explosive party is just around the corner
*wonders what the likelyhood is that Ronza will show up while she's gone this weekend* Well, if she does, I'm sure she'll still be around when I return.
Hope I can recover from getting the New Year trap enough before she does. 7-800K is not enough for her. I'll finish up my second or third run of the Fortress tonight, then head over to the Catacombs.
There's one picture that still has Ice on it, meaning I haven't gotten it yet, I assume. But it says, "Only the Nutcracker Trap can catch the Mad Elf". I've already got the Nutcracker Trap, and the Mad Elf. What is this?

This is your second run through right? As long as it's ticked off on your mouse page I wouldn't worry about it. It's like that on mine too, I think it's just because you can't get it til after you go through all the runs again. (Like the Halloween Event or the Guantlet)
