Do you think you'll make it back into the Tower today? Or are you going to farm more gold first?

I wouldn't say that it is impossible, but it is definitely unlikely. I'm around 115% right now, so getting 35% more isn't out of the question, but as I'm not exactly sitting around doing nothing but mouse hunting, chances are that I won't make it in. (On the other hand. . . it's too hot to do anything else :p )

I've already stocked up on gouda cheese (bought 300 pieces last night) so that should finish off my amplifier filling quest, and should also do through my tower run. The only thing I have to buy is a supply of attraction charms, which I'll probably pick up tomorrow.

Is anybody else having a problem with MH right now? All of my journal times are WAY off. It's currently 5:45 PM, but it's saying that it is 12:45 AM. So either it's seven hours fast, or seventeen hours slow :-s. Anybody else having this problem?

Nay Digs... Though I might be having some issues with the horn, but it seems to be working for the moment... Maybe it has to do with your FB settings? or your computer? Is that the only problem?

Like FK I'm probably going to level up within the next week or two... but who knows with my luck...

It's not my computer. I first noticed the computer on my library's internet computer. I thought it might be a problem with their computers, but it was the same at home.

Good luck to those of you getting ready to level up! That's always exciting!!!!

Welcome back n_a_h!! I hope you had a nice trip. :) This is completely off-topic, but I'm going to ask real fast anyways, did you post about your trip somewhere on here? I'd be curious to hear about it. :)

Anyways, back on topic.

I'm hunting with the Sinister Portal and the Dehydration Base. However, I checked Furoma and according to them, I'll have higher success with the Mutated Venus Mouse Trap (which I didn't have last time I hunted here) so I just switched over to that one.

What physical trap do you have? I ask because I've completley forgotten ;)) but usually people at your level have at least the Swiss Army Mouse Trap. According to Furoma, the MVMT will still catch mice better (by about 1%), but the SAMT has slightly higher luck, and therefore a higher chance at getting potions. So I guess it depends on what you're going for. If you just want gold and cheese, MVMT is the way to go, but if you're going for potions, you may want to consider SAMT. Just a suggestion. :)

I do want potions so I can hunt in the Mousoleum so I'll probably switch.

No, I haven't posted yet about it. I'm planning to at some point but I've been too busy since I got back to write an in depth post. I believe there's a mission trip thread on here, probably buried in this section, that I think I started a while back. I'll post in there.

Random Questions for Fun:

Do you guys have a particularly favorite trap settup?

For me so far I have yet to beat ACRONYM + Aqua Base... I must say I really am enjoying that base a bit too much. But pairing those two together has made the Catacombs and the Forbidden Grove into a massive gold/rune farming success.

What's your favorite location?

I have a hard time picking between all of the Bristle Woods locations and the King's Gauntlet. For the moment I'll go with the latter because I don't get bored often there... and I think the tiers are a very creative idea.

I think Digs asked this on the old thread so I'm giving him credit for the following question :P

What's your favorite Mouse?

I can't really pick... I like the Mutated Grey, the Glitchpaw, the Dragon, the BBB, the Bionic, the Tiger, The Hare Razer... I think you all get the idea...

Edit! OK this is barely on topic, but aren't Wight and White pronounced the same? I bet that gives the devs problems occasionally ;)) (although the Wight Mouse is certainly superior to the White Mouse) I wonder how they differentiate between the two verbally.

Favourite trap setup? This could be interpreted so many ways. I LOVE using my Cackle-Lantern Trap, but I hate needing to use it because shadow mice have a very low catch rate. Therefore, I'll have two different ones:

Favourite Setup Appearance: Cackle Lantern + Seasonal Base
Favourite Setup Utility: ACRONYM + Molten Shrapnel Base

An honourable mention (on both categories) had to go out to the Christmas Cracker Trap + Gingerbread Base

My favourite location to hunt are the three tribal isles (but specifically Nerg).

Favourite mouse is easy: I ADORE THE CURIOUS CHEMIST MOUSE!!!!!

That being said, I've filled my amplifier up to 149%. . . so I just need one more mouse before I head back to the tower. I'm going to head over to the Mountain to buy some attraction charms first though ;))

The Rhinobot is awesome. I still sometimes get a series of red boxes, but now there's usually no more than five when I used to have as many eight or nine. I do prefer a higher luck rating, but I suppose I can't have everything. :p

Favourite Trap Setup? ACRONYM+CC Base (luck and power in one gold-producing package) and Rewers+CC Base (lots of luck in an amazing tactical setup).

Favourite Location? Hm, probably either the Catacombs or Elub Shores.

Favourite Mouse? The Nugget Mouse, 'cause it's so cute. ;))

I always tend to lean towards the traps that do the best. Right now, it's the Sandstorm Monstrobot + Magma Base.
But a few other traps have earned a special place in my Mousehunter heart. ;)) The ACRONYM, the Ambush trap (which is probably my favorite for the giggle factor), the Mouse Mary O'Nette, and I think my favorite design out of all of them is the Sphynx Wrath. :)

What's your favorite location?
I really love Zugzwang's Tower. It's without a doubt the hardest location in the game, and can be the most headache inducing, second only to the King's Gauntlet. :P

What's your favorite Mouse?
For a long time it was the Harpy Mouse, but my new favorite is the Desert Architect in the Muridae Market. :)

Edit! OK this is barely on topic, but aren't Wight and White pronounced the same?

Yes they are. You should have heard my sister and I talk about the Wight/White (I meant Wight, she thought I meant White) mice back in the day. ;))

The Rhinobot is awesome. I still sometimes get a series of red boxes, but now there's usually no more than five when I used to have as many eight or nine.

And once you reach 17mil points you can get the Enraged Rhinobot which will do even better. :D And have you started gathering supplies for your Molten Shrapnel Base yet Dot?

Well, I arrived at Wave 3 last night. Not very far in yet. Missed my first Commander. :(( 50-24-50-60-30-20

FBF in an hour!! I shall update this post with any interesting info they provide. :D

Wow. It's been a while since I've posted in this thread...Haha.

I have been in the Tribal Isles for quite some time...However, I did attempt the Jungle of Dread. :P Probably not the best decision I've made in the game, but I did catch 5 of the 7 mice there with the Gorgon Trap. :P Never mind the fact that I lost a ton of money and cheese...

Right now, I'm building up my money and pepper seed supply...I'm just below the 1 million mark (just bought Gouda so it pushed me back down again...). I guess I'll just wait until I get the Clockapult of Time before I head back...

Chloe, it's great to see you in here again! If you want to buy the clockapault, that's fine, but I must take this time to laud the Cackle-Lantern Trap. I don't know whether or not you got the pumpkin pummeler from the Halloween event, but if you did, I think it would be better for you to go with the Cackle Lantern. It has higher luck. The clockapault is definitely comparable, but either one is not going to give you a good catch rate in the JoD. Average catch rate in there is less than 30%.

So, I filled my amplifier, and am now in the Tower. Also bought 175 Attraction charms (my attraction bonus is 45% right now :-o ). Caught my first mystic pawn. . . let's hope I get the pawns quickly.

Chloe!! I've missed seeing you in this thread!! If I may make a suggestion, you also might want to look into getting the Enraged Rhinobot and the Molten Shrapnel Base. :) The first will help you make a lot more money in the Derr Dunes, and the latter will help you with ... everything. ;)) And you also have enough points for the Ancient Box Trap. You're at the overwhelming spend-gold-like-mad stage! :))

ETA: Well, no FBF for me today. It worked (sorta) for the first five minutes and then crashed and burned and I couldn't get it to load again. Though the chat did continue to work and I could tell that it was working for everyone else so the issue was on my end. No idea what it was. :( Ah well, I'll catch the review later. I do know they gave lots of spoilers on the new area so I'm definitely gonna read it.

It's Friday?!!! Already??!!! (This is what happens when I'm not in school.)

Anyways I got the Dumpling Chef and Worker Mice... and I ran out of stale cheese. So I'm likely going to head over to the King's Gauntlet... (No I'm not going to try to reach the top yet- that'd be MouseHunter suicide, but I can farm some potions, and hopefully stale cheese...)

I was absolutely petrified that my tower run was going to end in tragedy today. Our power went out around 11:30. My first thought was, "OH CRUD! I'm going to catch all of my pawns, and then I'm not going to be able to change over to ZFM, and my run is going to be ruined!"

We're the last house on our line, so we're the last people to get power back, but it finally came back on around 7:00. I caught my last mystic pawn at 6:45, so it came back on JUST in time!

EDIT: And within four more trap checks, I'm done with the knights! Sitting at 126%, and ready to take on some bishops!

EDIT 2: One bishop down, one more to go. 122%

Alrighty, I watched the FBF recorded video and I hadn't missed much. ;)) As far as I could tell they were preparing for bugs galore as Facebook is pushing a Java update for a few random users. So they didn't talk about much today. (And I think there are definitely some bugs. My sister is having issues collecting gifts, but she thinks that's fixed after following their instructions.)

In fact, I don't remember much at all apart from showing another new mouse outline. And I got the impression that Zugzwang's Library isn't nearly as far along as I had initially believed. Sounds like it's a few weeks out still as they're currently coding it.

All of my journal times are WAY off. It's currently 5:45 PM, but it's saying that it is 12:45 AM.
...
It's not my computer. I first noticed the computer on my library's internet computer. I thought it might be a problem with their computers, but it was the same at home.

I meant to reply to this and forgot. It was probably the library's computer that caused it in the first place. I don't know this for sure, but it seems like MH takes a snapshot of whatever time is on the computer you're using as soon as it's different than normal, but then takes forever to correct it back. When I went to FL a couple months ago, MH picked up right away that I had changed time zones. But then it took forever to fix itself when I came back. If the library's computer clocks were off, that may have been what caused your journal to go crazy. Has it fixed itself?

Anyways I got the Dumpling Chef and Worker Mice...

Congrats!! :D *peeks at wolf's list a few pages back* Looks like the only SB mice you have left (that you can catch right now) are the Frosty Snow and Cook Mice. :) Nice!!

One bishop down, one more to go. 122%

Glad you got your power back on in time to change your trap. :D And it looks like your run is off to a good start at least. Hope it stays that way!!

Well, after a rocky start this morning on Wave 3, I've finally picked up momentum a bit and would LOVE to finish off the Warrior mice before I go to bed. Currently at 3-0-37-47-20-10 :)

Yep that's right FK. The Cook Mouse (and the other SS Huntington II mice) I'm waiting for my hydro upgrade... and the Frosty Snow Mouse I might wait til the Christmas event depending on what I accomplish between then and now. Plus I'm running low on SB too
