Congrats on starting the Zurreal assignment and getting the Master Burglar wil! The Zurreal assignment and Acrostic assignment were my favorites. Too bad the Acrostic assignment was a weekend event drop.
I decided I need to get a life outside of Mousehunt because last night I actually dreamed they postponed the Winter event til the second week in December and I was sooo disappointed.
At any rate, I checked the Silver Crown for the Falling Carpet Mouse off my list and am now in the Huntington for the time being. After this I'll just hit the Warpath again until the event starts.
ETA: It's getting close, I see a Toy Factory on the map which is what your game update was EtJ.
Oh good! I was hoping it would come today! I must say that the astronomer in me was hoping for the Festive Comet to come back. . . it'd be nice to think of Gnawnia passing annually through space debris
Oh well. . . it's almost here! HUZZAH!

I noticed the toy factory and while looking for it, I noticed several other things. Right next to the toy factory is an unfinished building that looks like a warehouse or barn. Also, over to the right of the Harbour is an octupus sinking ships and to the right of that is a tower with a couple large crystals hovering around it. What are the significance of those? I'm assuming that they're just areas I can't access yet.
Talk about annoying! While browsing the travel areas, I accidentily moved my mouse to far to the right and clicked on "travel here". So I just traveled to the Meadow and then had to travel right back to the Catacombs wasting over 8k gold.

The unfinished building is the upcoming Tournament Hall. It has been there for FOREVER. Actually it went in at the same time as the King's Gauntlet, so that tells you how long tournaments have been in the works. But in the last FBF they showed a picture of the finished product and it looks awesome.
Also, over to the right of the Harbour is an octupus sinking ships...
The octopus is Bubbles, Zugzwang's personal guardian. Actually it's kind of depressing cause once you unlock Seasonal Garden and Z's Tower, Bubbles disappears from the map. I miss Bubbles.
....and to the right of that is a tower with a couple large crystals hovering around it.
Now that may be a bug that went in with the Toyz building. I doubt you're supposed to be able to see that as you haven't accessed it yet. That's Zugzwang's Tower and the Crystal Library.
While browsing the travel areas, I accidentally moved my mouse to far to the right and clicked on "travel here".
, I did the exact same thing.
Well I just happened to spot something on the MH forum. This FBF Jacob will be drawing a mouse for the event. Not sure if that means they don't intend to release the event for a few days still OR because in the past they've released mice in stages, it'll just be a mouse that shows up later. Interesting to say the least.
The warehouse looking building has always been there (I think). I'm not sure what it's there for (perhaps just for aesthetic value?). The giant octopus is named Bubbles, and he is the pet octopus of Zugzwang. His job is to protect his master's tower from any and all hunters who are not qualified to enter
I really am quite surprised that the Christmas event didn't start today

Thanks for the explanations.
I also have another question. Freshness charms popped up as gift of the day again. Those of you who I'm friends with on MH, do you want them or would you prefer something else? (I guess I should have posted this before sending gifts today. Oh well, they've popped up twice as gift of the day so they'll probably pop up again.)
Also, this is how I usually send gifts.
1. Stale SB+, Meteorite pieces, Splintered Wood, potions, and event cheese: when those are the gift of the day, they always take top priority over everything else.
2. If none of those are available as gift of the day, I try to switch back and forth between sending Stale Cheese and Radioactive Sludge.
If there is anything else you prefer: Radioactive Sludge every day? Stale Cheese every day? Mozeralla cheese? Just let me know. I mentioned a few pages back that I keep an entire notebook within OneNote just for MH. I already have FK's list of how she prefers gifts in there. It would be no problem to add yours.
And fyi, here's mine.
1. Stale SB+, Meteorite pieces
2. Potions, event cheese
3. Splintered Wood
4. Stale Cheese
5. Radioactive Sludge (it's about equal to Stale Cheese in my book so I don't care too much which of these two I get sent)
6. Mozarella Cheese
Here's what I'll take for gifts:
Charms, Radioactive Blue Potions or Stale SB+. Anything else is pretty much worthless to me at this point in the game. If you want to send me something, send me stale cheese, but by all means send to other people who can use the help.
I've finally made it to the 3.5 million mark. I made it there earlier, but had to buy more cheese and got knocked back 100K again.

Yes, I will definitely take Freshness Charms.
I don't even remember my preferred items list anymore but at this point in the game, the only thing I don't have an overwhelming quantity of is Stale SB+ (just 137 pieces ) so I fall under the category of 'if you have 15 other friends to send stuff to, skip me'. Otherwise I'll take whatever....
After 1,136 Tier 1 mooses, we have collected 250 Tier 2 potions. Generation 1,000 Tier 2 pieces of cheese. Sitting on that for now. Into the Catacombs indefinitely until the century mark is hit with a majority of the various mooses.
“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.”
I have 14 friends who play the game, however, 5 of those are people who haven't played in two years or more and are Novices so I can tell they're people who simply clicked once and then never played again. So I can send all of my active friends a gift per day since I only have nine active friends, one of whom hasn't played in two weeks and isn't very active.
I'm at 2.87 million gold and 16.17 million points.

I'm up to 3.6 million now! Getting closer and closer!
Frankly, I'm surprised (and a bit annoyed) that the Christmas event hasn't started yet. Today is the 1st of December, and that new toy factory has been on the map for more than a day now. Here's hoping that we see something before nightfall.

I doubt we'll see anything before next week. With December having 5 weekends, I expect it to start next week so it'll run 4 weekends instead of 5. Or is it 5 instead of 6 if they let it run through Jan 1.
well, its going to run one day:)
Digs: i am starting to feel ur pain for the liches jewel:(, those things are just...plain hard to get
i was planning on finishing the assignment by tomorrow, but form what i see, i dont think its happening anytime soon without a liches jewel...im just missing that and the warp nail, i have to say, i am impressed by the effectiveness of the dreaded charm
