FBF started off this morning with mega-spoiler pics of the upcoming tournaments. We're clearly getting close. :D
(Pics if you want to see them are here.... http://www.mousehuntgame.com/forum/show ... poilers!!!! )

~Players may eventually be able to design their own tournaments, but that won't likely be available when tournies are first released.
~The current hunting teams will be used for tournaments. If we don't like them, we need to change them now. ;)
~No solo tournaments right now, but eventually there will be different amounts of team players in tournies. Maybe solos?
~Tournament chests and tokens will be usable once tournaments start. (THANK GOODNESS!!!)
~You can't join tournaments once the tournies begin (I think that's different from the way it used to be). You also cannot swap out players during a tourny.
~Some of the tournies require you to be in a certain location (also different from previous tournies)
~Right now, tournament team max is 5, but the number of players that can be competing at one time is 4. So someone will be sitting out if you have all 5 people on your team.
~They removed cost of entry for tournies (YAY!)

~Endurance style tournaments for the hardcore players. Will be very similiar to the old tournies and it has the multiplier.
~Boost is for passive players. It will boost your multiplier for a temporary amount of time a day, so you choose when you want to boost, and then the multiplier will decrease throughout the day. Each player has their own boost bar and it is not shared with the rest of your teammates.
~Standard tournaments are in between, but do not include a multiplier of any kind.

~They will finally be opening that building in Valour (the one that's been sitting undone next to the Gauntlet for forever) and that will be where you go spend your tournament tokens.

~At the end of this FBF, they will be designing a tournament live with everyone giving feedback.

I think that's about it. They're designing a Furoma tourny at the moment, but I have stuff I need to do so I am going to bow out and yeah... can't wait for tournies!! :D

Is there any way we can shuffle teams now then? I really don't want to sit out. Can you still hunt while you're sitting out just not in that particular area for the tourny?

Actually my team, and a few other teams are talking about merging because we only have 2 players on one team and 3 players on another. But it is physically possible (I just figured out how) to disband the team, or to switch members.

I guess the question who's going where? :P

If one player sits out can they sub back in at any time?
Is there any benefit to having 5 people rather than 4 on a team?

Tournements.

Likely step out of my team as I just cannot depend on being around.

Wolf asked me to come in here and try to describe tournies a little better, but I will say this, there are changes from the way they used to work so I can't tell you for sure how it's gonna go now.

Mousehunt Teams - 5 people max
Mousehunt Tournaments - 4 people for now, but this will change in the future (tournaments will not be a fixed number, so if there is a tournament going on with 2 people and another with 3 people, your team can participate in both at the same time.

Tournaments are very widely varied in difficulty and length. Back in the old days of tournies, the longest ones were the Weekenders, and those ran from Friday night to early Monday morning. A couple tournies were super short, only 1 hour or so. ;)) But I would say the average length was between 4-24 hours.
I wasn't quite clear on how things worked for signing up, but I think someone will suggest a tourny (might even be able to sign up for it) but then first come, first serve for adding your name to the roster, and the captain of each team has override abilities or can add people if they're offline.

So n_a_h, I wouldn't worry about shuffling teams as cep is on your team right? And he'll probably be sitting out most of the time (if not all of the time). And yes, you can still hunt wherever you want during a tourny.

wolf, the benefit to having 5 people on your team is so if one person is offline for a day, your team still has four other people who can participate in a tourny and you won't be handicapped. And while you can't sub people in and out during an actual tourny, like I said above, they're short and sweet so rotating people in and out won't be an issue I don't think. :)

cep, I wouldn't bother bowing out just yet. Wait until tournaments come out, and if you find out your taking up somebodies spot, then you can make the decision. :) I think your teammates are pretty steady players, so they may take up the four active spots right away so you won't even be in the way. :)

Aye. Sticking around for now. For those on my team, if I am taking a spot somebody wants, do not hesitate to let me know - can't offend me

Tier II Potions being dropped at 0.225 per moose. No change with Lucky Charms.

Guess who leveled up to Lady yesterday? B-)

Still working on that Balack mouse. I dreamed last night that Balack was Voldemort. 8-}

It brings back memories of furoma doesn't it?

Yep. ;))

I dunno why but im only getting technic king assignments, but i cant complain
Im running low on Amp charms which isnt that good but oh well :)
CONGRATS DOK for becoming LADY :)
itll be more interesting cause of ZT and crystal library, but after ur runs, it mite get repetitive but its chill
seasonal garden again so boring

Back to Furoma, since i got all the parts needed for SBB, and my current assignment needs me to catch 10 using tact trap, might as well duck out until summer...Furoma cycle starts NOW!!!

Let me just say for the record, that tournaments thoroughly uninterest me ;)). I remember doing a few back in "The Old Days" but I was still back in Whisker Woods when Tournies went away. So they may have changed.

My team (well. . . wolf's team of which I am a member) is shuffling around right now, so if anybody desperately wants to take my spot, go ahead and ask. I'll not be offended.

I just don't have a reliable internet connection when I'm not at school (so that'll be almost all of December!!!), because we have dial up. It can literally take me an hour from the point I turn on the computer to the point where I get logged into MH. Sounding my horn can take upwards of five minutes. I'll make do for the Christmas Event (partly because I'm hoping for a good physical trap) but other than that, I probably won't be around all that much.

PLUS I've got a ton of things to be working for right now. I'm almost to my 2,000,000 mark (probably hit it tomorrow or Tuesday) which means that further gold farming to craft the Oasis Water Node (which will cost another 2,000,000) is going to be starting for me soon. Then there's another 1.3 million I need for the Reaper's Perch to be complete. Sufficient cheese and charms to get through however many warpath runs are needed for me to get two sandblasted metals and a sphynx crystal (probably dozens and dozens if my luck doesn't change) are going to be needed, then there's those two traps (which is another 3.6 million in gold!!!). So that takes me to a grand total of 7,000,000 gold.

So if anybody wants to make any contributions, my participation rate in tournies might go up. . . but otherwise, there are plenty of other things that are making this game fun for me right now.

I armed 19 pieces of VVS today and so far I've missed Balack three times. Ah well, at least I'm attracting him.

On tournaments/groups: I'm good with whatever everyone else decides. Not very decisive I know, but I'm saving my decisiveness powers for homework. :p

Well that's a good thing to save it for :P I honestly have no idea what we're doing yet, but as of right now if anyone wants to join our group we have two available spots. That might change in the near future (we might split up), but if you find yourself in need of a group just send me a pm :P

(No that wasn't advertising at all :P )

Anyways, I'm still trekking through the Guantlet, not doing sio good on Tier III this time around (I was doing better with my trap upgrades) I'm catching mice, but drops are few and far between. (Either that or I'm just not noticing them)

I have no idea, ill prob go for tourneys if there are good rewards that i might want, if not, i guess i might just ditch it or if its in the area im currently in, which is meditation room at the moment (i highly doubt it) :)
currently stocking up rumble cheese for the near future, since im currently 59% LORd, im expecting Baron in a month or so :)
I guess im staying here until summer, where i will be able to catch that ten mouse with a tact trap much easier, no rush, im just waiting for my points to stockpile, which isnt really happening right now since i am in furoma, one of the most tedious places in the game
57 RUMBLE already
cheese still 70-96-83 (fang, belt, claw respectively)

Wil, can I ask you why you want to much Rumble Cheese? That is a TON of the stuff. I mean, if you've got the cheese to farm more, go ahead, but I'm just curious as to why you want so much of it...

EDIT: So today I just got done with the absolute best Survey Binge ever! I completed two surveys in 34 minutes (That is unheard of) and managed to snag 46 pieces of SB! That is amazing!!!! I'm still waiting for the last 16 pieces to come through (it can take up to an hour or two), but still. . . that's just great. All of it is going to go up on the market, which will snag me more than 250K in gold!!!
