Yeah, I just hit cancel so as to save friends from spam ;). I bought my ZFM trap skin! I love it!!!!

If I can get more cobwebs each day, that'll be great! I'll be able to get the Ambush one as well. Here's a quesiton for people who have cobwebs. . . I know you can buy them with candies, but can you sell them back to get more candies? If so, that would be a good way to get more candies.

Still plowing through Wave 3.

The Costumed Ambush Skin is just for fun only. All it does is give your Ambush Trap a different look if you have it. It's not going to advance or hinder your game in any way by not getting it.

ETA: That's what I get for adding edits really late after other people have posted. ;)) DiGs, you can only get 5 cobwebs total, not 5 per day. I didn't see it in the news story the first time I glanced at it, but it states that quite clearly there.

I'm back in the Haunted Terrortories. I currently have 65 pieces of Ghoulgonzola and 38 pieces of Candy Corn. My plan is to hunt here until it runs out or I make it through the whole thing again. Then, I'm going to go to the Town of Gnawnia, arm my strongest setup and Gilded cheese, and catch the Master Burglar until he drops a Crown Jewel. Then, I'll buy the King's Gauntlet Floorplan.

Also, I bought the Ambush Trap skin, two Cherry potions, and three Tier 3 Gauntlet potions. I still have four Cobwebs and 67 Halloween Candies.

I'm wondering now if I'll ever use the Ambush trap again. Now that I have the Horrific Venus Mouse Trap, it's stronger in every way (except cheese effect) than the Ambush trap so why should I ever use the Ambush again? Is there anywhere (like Furoma) where the Ambush works better just ... because?

*has 50 candies and is not sure what to do with them* ;)) I'm tempted to spend all of them on crates of vanilla beans to help with my Balack hunting. Those empowered anchor charms may help too.

I am behind everybody else due to having basically no internet access for five days (I'm still catching up on claiming gifts ;)) ) I am working my way through the Pumpkin Patch right now. I also have five cobwebs to spend after visiting profiles....

You're right. Ambush is pretty much useless for you now. The only time I can see you using it again, is when you become a Lord. It might be needed for some library assignments in the crystal library.

I'm tempted to spend all of them on crates of vanilla beans to help with my Balack hunting. Those empowered anchor charms may help too.

This isn't a bad idea at all (though I'd stay away from the empowered anchor charms, just because I think they're pretty darn worthless). You'll need a ton of vanilla beans when you go after Balack, and you'll need a ton when you're a Lord and are going after your lich jewel. One thing you might consider though (and I can't remember if this is true or not), but aren't bottles of rage, pinches of annoyance, and raisins of wrath available in the prize shop? You can always farm beans, but those three ingredients (necessary in crafting Vengeful Vanilla Stilton, which is the only cheese Balack is attracted to) are MUCH harder to come by then the beans. Still it's up to you.

As for me, I cleared out my Warriors overnight. It's really frustrating that during the day, I couldn't get a streak more than two. Overnight, I cleared them out with a streak of six. . . . The universe doesn't want me to use any commander's charms ;)).

I'm going after the Mages now, but I'm really starting to run out of moolah. I'm down to 61 pieces of gouda, which means I'll probably have another 200K gold gouda run coming up before long. I'm also down to 41 simple orbs (y'all weren't lying about those things!), so I'm either going to have to farm those, or buy more of those. Plus, not having a supply of horseshoes or mage cloths, I keep having to buy those off of the marketplace (which is an added expense I just don't need right now). I've got 328K right now, but when you consider a huge chunk of that is gonna go to the cheese, another chunk is going to go for the orbs, another chunk is going for charm supplies, and another chunk is going for ionized salt. . . I'm practically broke :P So after I finish this run, I'll probably just go over to the catacombs and park it until the Christmas event (unless I'm raking in TONS of cash, in which case who knows.)

I find it terribly frustrating that, even with mage charms equipped, 60% of the mice visiting my traps are Sandwing Cavalry mice. It's not supposed to work that way?!?!?! I'm tired of getting nowhere with them, so I've switched back over to the Sandwing Cavalry (Watch, now I'll attract more magma-rage mice. . . . . . )

Question: Do you think ZFM, Rewers, or ER would do the best against the Sandwing Cavalry mice?

Story of my life right there. :))

Yeah, I would agree with you there. You don't need to be buying them off the marketplace. :P My first couple runs through the Warpath, I didn't even use Cavalry and Mage charms.
But I just sent you 50 Horseshoes so that should get you through Wave 3. :) And if you use them carefully, it should be enough to be self-sustaining.
The key I've found to not running out of horseshoes, cloths, and orbs, is to go ahead and not have charms armed all the time, especially at the end of Waves 2 and 3. If you do use them to catch every single mouse in every single wave on every single run through, you'll find yourself ALWAYS buying stuff and that's gonna kill your gold.
I'll usually burn one stack down to about 10 left, either the Cavalry or Mages, and then just equip a power charm or luck charm for the rest (or recently, if I have lots of Cavalry mice, a wealth charm). I also never use charms after the Commanders and Guards are retreating. DON'T buy horseshoes and cloths off the Marketplace. You may get through the wave a little faster, but you'll lose sooo much gold.

Question: Do you think ZFM, Rewers, or ER would do the best against the Sandwing Cavalry mice?

Well, I vaguely recall getting fed up arming one trap to catch one particular mouse (ie. Rewers for Cavalry Mice) but then never once catching any other mouse that decided to drop by. So I think what I did was pretty much leave my Chrome Drillbot armed all the time. But I wasn't using charms either, so in your case, Rewers may be the way to go.

Well I noticed this morning completely by accident that Halloween trap skins can be sold on the marketplace for somewhere in the 600,000g range. Just thought I'd let you all know. :)

I caught another Cobweb Mouse last night. Yay! I think that brings my total catches up to 5. :)) The ZFM skin is just around the corner! Just need another cobweb or two more candies. After that, I'm stockpiling potions and charms. :D

7 Cobwebs
28 Candies

ETA: Oh, forgot to reply to something (cause this post isn't long enough already...).

Those empowered anchor charms may help too.

I don't agree. They save you a fair bit of gold on travel cost AND if you don't care to use them for their intended purpose, they're the most powerful charm in the game up to the Warpath. I used a couple in Zugzwang's Tower actually. But having said that, they're a pretty cheap charm to craft, so I'm not sure I'd buy them when you can get Vanilla Beans instead. ;))

Nice! I might try to sell that Ambush skin. I bought it before I realized that I probably wouldn't be using it much because I now have a more powerful tactical trap.

I'm still working my way through HT. I have 14 Candy Corn and 54 Ghoulgonzola. Also, 4 Cobwebs and 77 Candies. After I'm done here, I think I'm going to go to the Catacombs and farm gold for a while. I'm going to save up for the Digby Drillbot because according to the Wiki, that is what you want to use if you want to maximize the amount of RB potions you get in the Laboratory. Plus, I need it to upgrade to the Rhinobot once I get 16 million points. That'll take a while because I'm currently at 11 million points.

How fast are they going? I'm wondering if it'll be quicker to buy a lower cobweb trap skin, sell it, then buying a higher one at the market place (I just need one more cobweb, but I haven't attracted very many this run :/ )

Let it be made known that I complete disagree with the Wiki. ;)) I've found that the NVMRC gets you more potions than the Drillbot because it's luck is so much higher and your catch rate in that location doesn't improve much with the Drillbot.
I'm not recommending you buy the NVMRC in addition to the Drillbot, especially since (as you've already noted) you're going to need the Drillbot anyways for the Rhinobot. All I'm saying is that I don't agree with the Wiki. ;))

That'll take a while because I'm currently at 11 million points.

The Elub Shore is your friend. ;)

How fast are they going?

Not a clue.

;)) The event isn't going to end in the next few minutes you know ;)) , you have AT LEAST until Halloween to get another cobweb, if not another full week after that. Or you buy a cobweb for 30 candies. :)

One thing it might be a good idea to do, would be to buy the trap skin and hold on to it. Prices are bound to go through the roof even a few months after the event has ended. I doubt that it would go higher than 1,000,000 as it'll probably be able to be purchased for real money. . . but hey. . . just a thought.

My run through Wave 4 has done a complete 180. I got up to a streak of six on my Mage Mice, and used a commander's charm. I didn't want to, because I've only got three mice types left. . . but given the way my luck was going, I'd do anything! Shortly after that, all of the mages vanished. Now I'm working on my last batch of Cavalry Mice, and using Rewers (and not getting interrupted by those evil mage mice) I'm actually doing well. Up to a streak of four right now!
