I always found that the Gingerbread Base, while very good (especially for lowbies!) wasn't that great in the Tribal Isles, cause that place, more than any other, is where you want to have as lucky a setup as possible. So the Candy Cane Base is the way to go!

Well, I'm flying through my checklist. Caught the Warmonger, got my 5 Papyrus, got my 2 Tier 2 potions, and am now hanging out in the Library working on my first assignment. We'll see how things go here.

I love the Candy Cane Base. I don't think I've bought/crafted any bases other than the Molten Shrapnel since I got it.

Still farming vanilla beans etc. for Balack hunting........

I just looked up the Gingebread base and it looks pretty good too. It has an Insanely Fresh cheese effect which is nice. I'm liking the Candy Cane base a bit better though from what I've seen, heard, and read.

Anyway, if I get all the loot, I probably will craft the Gingerbread base.

I'm at 540k gold. Just a bit more until I can buy the Blueprints. I still need the Thorned Vine though, so I'm going to have to spend some gold to craft the Gumbo cheese necessary to catch the Grandfather mouse in Cape Clawed.

Without! I was very, very pleased! I'm at 0-0-0-1-0 right now, so I should be in wave three in a few minutes. Further up and further in!!!

EDIT: Now in Wave 3! 50-50-50-60-30-20 I've got two commander's charms. Won't even think about using them until I get to a streak of six!

i think...that the higher leveled u are, the more engaged u have to be, i remember how in the past, i just leave it to camp, but then, ZT, to get a CM effectively, u have to stay on, and to not lose amp, u have to wait 8 hunts, and FW, u gotta change charms...lolol

in zt, on second rook, used my rook crumbler c harm, not really bad, except of course i missed the second rook...its chill...aiming to charge my charm this time...for sure >_< hopefully...

Not too much to report today. Working on my library assignments. I completed two and decided to go for a third. After this I'll head back to the Warpath again.

I bought the Thorned Mouse Trap plans and am down to 87k gold. So now, I have to farm a bunch more gold before I can go after the Thorned Vine. I need gold so I can buy the Gouda in order to farm the Savoury Vegetables in order to make the Gumbo cheese. I also need some gold to buy the rest of the ingredients for Gumbo cheese. Plus, it's expensive to travel all the way to Cape Clawed to after the Vegetables! It's 10k gold from the FG and 10,500 from FG to Nerg Plains which is the better spot for getting Savoury Vegetables.

I only have 31 Ancient cheese left so I'm going to have to go back to the Catacombs for more gold. But, I only have one Greater RB potion, zero RB potions, and eight Corrupted RB potions (which I don't really want to use) so I'm going to have to head to the Laboratory in the next few days for more RB potions.

My other option is to use some of my 115 Ancient potions (which I hate to do) or stay here in the FG, switch over to my Swiss and Marble cheese, and farm Stale Cheese until I can make more Ancient. Either way (farming RB potions or farming Stale Cheese), they both take time. However, if I farmed RB, I'd at least be making a little gold while making Stale Cheese, I don't make any.

Decisions, decisions! Every time I turn around, I'm having to farm for gold. It's boring, I tell ya, boring!

As my gold is in short supply, I decided to set up camp in the Catacombs for whatever length of time it takes me to run through over 100 pieces of ancient. I had some rather rotten luck with my last warmonger and lost well over 100 pieces of Gouda during the 12 hours it took me to catch the crazy mouse. No surprise, I didn't get a trap loot drop.

NaH congrats on your blueprints. The thorned vine isn't a 100% drop rate, so be prepared to wait for them. I got them on my third try, but using Ambush to nab one of these guys isn't as easy as it would seem. (For a Grandfather. . . he's pretty crafty and agile)

@n_a_h, I noticed that you have never once hunted in the Nerg Plaines and you have about 100k gold with which to purchase cheese . I know Gouda is kind of pricey but it's actually cheaper than Ancient cheese and only 100g/piece more than RB cheese. You won't make as much money in the Plaines as you would in the Cats or FG, but since you are going to need loads of veggies anyways, I would highly recommend you start hunting there. Especially since I can tell you're bored with your current hunting grounds. (You will still make a nice profit!)

@wil, could you fill me in on how you're filling your amplifier so quickly? Even during the spring it took me about two days to do it and you seem to be doing it in one. But maybe I'm way off on that.

@Kat, yeah you DID have some crazy bad luck with that last Warmonger. And he HURTS to miss. Good luck getting loads and loads of gold!

The Pocketwatch mice are making things difficult in the Library today. I need lots of other mice but I keep catching them. One of these days I'll catch something else. LOL I need 2 Infiltrator and 2 Effervescent to finish up this assignment and then I'll head back to the Warpath. Hopefully it won't take me too long.

Thanks, fk, I think I'll try that. I was using the Catch Rate estimates but there were no definite numbers because the set-up I'd be using hadn't yet reached 1,000 catches.

On another note, I'm on MouseHunt and the "oops" page popped up that said "A game update will be applied shortly".

Yay, an update!! Tournaments maybe?? Actually, it's probably the Halloween event, now that I think about it.
