I use Mozzarella in Valour and Gnawnia, but right now I'd prefer stale cheese.
So earlier I crafted 15 pieces of Gumbo in hopes of catching the Nerg Chieftain. So far I missed 2 Slayers, caught 3 Slayers and 1 Defender... Now I get the Slayers I want the Chieftain!

I haven't posted here in ages! Well, I haven't posted anywhere on NarniaWeb in ages really... Good to be back.
Update of where I'm at:
Breeds Caught: 173 / 302
Event Breeds Caught: 39 / 48
Hunting Since: Nov 17, 2010
Hunter's Title: Hero (91 % )
Points: 12,993,497
Gold: 2,369,821
Horn Calls: 1565
Location: King's Gauntlet
Region: Valour
Trap Power: 3680
Total Luck: 33
Weapon: Rewers Riposte
Base: Candy Cane Base
Bait: 4 pieces of Gauntlet Tier 4
Charm: None
Mice Caught: 5167
I'm currently in the King's Gauntlet, trying to finish that up and get some more points. Once I finish that, I'm not sure where I'll go... before this I was in the Tribal Islands for quite some time, where I caught all the mice of the three tribes and gathered quite a lot of pepper seeds, but I didn't continue to the Jungle of Dread.

I think I'm going to go back to the market and try and get the cartographer rebuilt. Then it's back to the warpath I guess to go after that last piece of metal for the monstrobot. I just need to make sure I have about 300K in gold before I go back there because I burn through a lot of gold for charms and cheese in there.
I ended up camping out in the Seasonal Garden since it's spring and I'm almost back up to 200K in gold.
As to gifts... please no more mozzarella for awhile. I'm almost never back in the levels that require those cheeses, so I've got quite a stockpile. Potions, stale SB, and stale cheese are probably the best thing to send to me.
Oohhhhhhhh... I didn't even think about gauntlet potions!!! I think I'll go set up in there for a bit and farm some tier 2 potions while I'm working on getting gold just for something different to do.
Any and all splintered wood would be great!
I will keep this in mind! Just to make sure, you know you can buy most everything from either the Great Gnarled Tree and Training Grounds General Stores right? (That includes Splintered Wood.)
I know not to sent the collectibles, but of the stale cheese, the Mozzarella, and the sludge, is one better than the others?
Highly desired....
1. Potions/Stale SB+
Stuff I literally have hundreds of, but if you want to send it to me anyways...
1. Radioactive Sludge
2. Stale Cheese
3. Splintered wood/meteorite pieces/other crafting stuff
Stuff I already have/won't ever use...
1. Mozzarella Cheese
2. Collectibles
I want the Chieftain!

Have you heard my story of misfortune and woe, wolf? The mouse that I had the most difficult time with in the game was the Nerg Chieftain. I can't tell you how much cheese I went through to catch him, but I can tell you I had caught over 100 Defenders before I finally nabbed my first Nerg Chieftain. It wasn't the mouse that took me the longest to catch (that honor goes to the Dragon Mouse... about 4-6 months there
) but it was the mouse that I was waaaay outside of the statistics on. I was just really unlucky.
I am coming up on the end of Wave 3. Hopefully I can finish it tonight, we shall see. Then Wave 4, then my typical run of 5 Papyrus in the Market.
Toss in collecting a few Gauntlet Tier 2 potions and maybe drop by the Tribal Isles.... I'm also thinking that as soon as it hits Fall in the Seasonal Garden, I may take my Reaper's Perch for a test run.
ETA: Hi Bother Eustace!! Good to see you again. Good luck on your Gauntlet run!
Well, I got the S.S. Huntington II built and I'm back down to just under 27k gold. So I'm not sure what I'm going to do next. In order to hunt effectively on the SSH, I need a Hydro trap and the two Hydro traps you can buy cost 664,000 gold minimum.
I'm getting a little tired of just sitting around the Catacombs farming gold so I'm thinking of heading back to the locations I first had access to: Gnawnia, Whisker Woods, Burroughs, and Furoma; and trying to catch all the mice I haven't caught yet.
I would like to eventually have caught all the mice there are in the game (yes, I know that'll take awhile). By the way, are Event mice recurring? I know that some of them are, like the Glitchpaw, but are any others? There's 48 in all and I've only caught one of them.
Anyway, after that, I'll probably check out the Forbidden Grove and Acolyte Realm. I've researched it a bit on the Wiki but haven't actually hunted in either place.
EDIT: By the way, if it's says "especially attracted to SB+" and "Bait pref: SB+" does that mean SB+ is the only thing that will catch it? Or does it mean it will occasionally bite on other types?
DiGs, how many more assignments do you think you have to do before you get enough points to hunt Zurreal?
Well, my current furoma assignment will take me up to 850, so probably only one more Seasonal Garden assignment after this one.
I like to send you all gifts, but since I haven't been where you all are, what gifts are best? I know not to sent the collectibles, but of the stale cheese, the Mozzarella, and the sludge, is one better than the others?
If gift of the day is no good, send me Stale Cheese. Gift of the day gifts that I appreciate the most are Stale SB+ and Radioactive Blue potions.
Nabbed 11/15 of my archers during my listless weekend of hunting. Not too shabby. I'll probably finish up this library assignment sometime tomorrow.

*Sighs* Well I just ran out of Gumbo and the only thing I've attracted so far were Slayers and a few Defenders
*Arms Gouda* At least I can possibly earn a few more crowns while I'm working on it

Yep, I already know. But, I know that the splintered wood comes up once in a while as the gift of the day and I have just over 200 and need 900 pieces. Just sayin'.

I'll bear this in mind! Thanks!

You may want to try equipping swiss or brie in the Great Gnarled Tree. Just as a warning this doesn't work every time... so I'm not sure if it's a legit trick or not, but one of the few mice you'll attract is the Treant. Sometimes it'll work, but sometimes you'll just lose cheese, so watch your catch rates

Oooooh, that's a good idea wolfy--I may just head to the Tree. I'm getting close to Legendary (27% away!) so I'm gonna need that wood. I bought the rope and some of the cloth.

yo, anyone know a way to get Aether mouse? ive been wanting that for a while, just started on crystal library assignments and decided to take the 2nd assignment twice for the sake of it since spring almost ended when i finished my previous one, btw, for anyone's info, my ZT run screwed up bad, never caught a queen, was at 28% amp cause i kept catching technic bishops...which was troubling, amp at 1% i think, but im just camping at crystal for a good amount of points...btw, the new skins look pretty awesome...ZFM soon and then maybe another ZT run
I know that the splintered wood comes up once in a while as the gift of the day and I have just over 200 and need 900 pieces. Just sayin'.
Ram, almost everybody has to buy the wood to craft the ship. It will take you months and months and months to craft that thing without buying the wood. Do what you want, but I think you'll have your ship a LOT faster if you start hunting for gold to buy the wood, rather than hunting for the wood itself.
Wil, I'm sorry that you're tower run went so poorly. I can sympathize . Getting ZFM will really help you out, I think.
As for the Aether mouse, she's just INSANELY rare. You don't need SB to attract her, but you do need patience. I couldn't even give you an estimate of how long I've hunted in the library (because the points and gold can be quite good at times), but I've only attracted one aether, and even then I didn't catch it. She's a slippery beast (kind of like the Assasin mouse from furoma? Rare and strong).
Late last night, I finished up getting my Archers. Overnight, I caught my gold mouse and my three ninjas. That just leaves catching three Student of the Cheese Belt mice. We shall see how that goes. I might buy some more maki just to make it go more quickly.
EDIT: Using Maki Cheese to attract students. I actually caught myself a Worker mouse in so doing! I've been waiting for him for many many moons!

Yea, not having much luck with farming the wood, but I am getting gold and points in the process! And I expected to have to buy most of the wood, but I don't HAVE to buy it YET, so I thought I would get it other ways.
Love God, love people
Caution: Whinge Post Ahead!!!!!
I don't know what is going on right now, but summer is going terribly! It's usually not too bad of a season, but I have caught two mice in the past three hours. . . . . . . . That's TERRIBLE.
I need another Monarch Mouse, a Summer Mage Mouse, and then 30 Mice with an Attraction Charm. . . you'd think I'd be able to attract a few mice with those things armed, but I'm having just as many FTA's as I am Red Boxes.
*Sigh*
End of Rant Post. . . continue as usual.

Did you mean the Lagoon? I was just wondering cause if you use Gnarled in the Great Gnarled Tree, you'll still attract Treant Mice.
yo, anyone know a way to get Aether mouse?
Patience. Lots and lots of patience. But you don't need SB+ or anything special to catch her.
actually caught myself a Worker mouse
Congrats!! Yeah, Workers are attracted to Maki since they're made out of SB+.
And I expected to have to buy most of the wood, but I don't HAVE to buy it YET, so I thought I would get it other ways.
Good idea. How close are you to Legendary anyways?
Re DiGs's above rant: Yeah, I'm having the same trouble today. Earlier when I was wrapping up Wave 4, I was catching about 2 mice every 3 hours. I think I counted that I had about 48 pieces of Gouda stolen from me by the Warmonger while I was not catching mice.... that hurts.
But now I'm in the Market and catching about every other mouse.
And naturally the ones I'm not catching are the ones I need. 3 more Papyrus to go!
