It sure is frustrating when you buy SB from the Marketplace, arm it, and the only mice you don't attract are the SB only mice!! And I've got a pretty strong setup too!

FBF today....

The Hunter's horn has been rebuilt because it was not working in the latest versions of Chrome and Firefox. They'll roll that out today. (Which means there will probably be new bugs. ;)) )

Next thing going into the game is the game in various languages. I think they said they are going to get that out next week? They said that it's sort of bottlenecking the rest of the updates.

They confirmed the next area is Zugzwang's Library in Rodentia. :D They haven't said what the level is yet, but I'm assuming Lord/Lady.

Well, most of the rest of it was pretty technical stuff. Obviously it will be available on the forums if it isn't already.

Next week is Canada day so no FBF at all, the week after that, Jacob is doing a live painting. So there ya go. :)

Oh no! For some reason the gremlins always show up on my computer... and I'm sure this time will be no different X(

Yay! I was heading in that general direction anyway, I'm sure I'll be leveled up enough by the time I finish my current check list to head over there. 8-}

Speaking of which I'm past halfway with the gold I need to unlock the SS Huntington II. B-)

Did they give any hint as to what the objective of this library will be?

*is a little bit bummed as he thought that he'd be going over to the fiery warpath after he levelled up. . . Then again, I'll probably still have time. . . hopefully*

I'm about to head into ZT for the second time. This time, I'll go with more than 100 pieces of gouda. My amplifier got up to 143% before spring came, and so I'm just a few trap checks/ horn sounds away from getting in there again ;))

None whatsoever. Aside from the fact that it will be very cool. :P ;))

I betcha the new area will be out in two to three weeks. Long before you level to Baron. ;)

I'm about to head into ZT for the second time.

Good luck! Don't forgot to stock up on charms too! :D

Oh no! For some reason the gremlins always show up on my computer... and I'm sure this time will be no different

Well, I don't think I've had any yet. How about you?

Well, I had another mediocre hunting day again. At least I got a few streaks of three, but my goal had been to clear out Wave 2 before bed tonight and I don't think I'm gonna make it. Unless my bad luck changes that is. :P 0-0-0-7-11

Is very bummed out because she's already a level behind! I've got catching up to do if I want to make it to the Warpath by Baroness. :p (*was originally planning on using the upper 3 levels to catch the hard mice she missed*- all these new locations are changing the plans a bit. And from the sounds of FK and kat... it's gonna take a while :| )

@FK- So far I'm gremlin and glitchpaw free.

*glances around* Wow. It's been a while since I posted here... Anyways.

So far I'm still plugging away to Grandmaster. I've almost got enough gold for the Venus Mouse Trap, though... And enough radioactive sludge to upgrade immediately. I'd have it by now, but I kinda forgot about MH for about 2 weeks.

I think that I'll have enough gold by the end of the weekend. :)

Not a problem. For some reason Legendary is overloaded with areas (Catacombs through the early Tribal Isles), but then Hero gets one new area (Jungle of Dread) and Knight gets two (Dracona and Balack's Cove). None of the Hero/Knight areas are locations you'll spend much time in. I think you'll find yourself falling back to the Tribal Isle areas to farm more materials for the latter areas. And because of that, you won't level up as fast and catch back up. ;)
The only reason I see this not being the case is if Zugzwang's Library ends up being Hero level, which it might. I can't remember if I've posted this before or not, but Zugzwang's Tower was originally supposed to be Hero level, but when they play tested it, it was way too hard. So instead it's Lord/Lady leveled. (It's still the hardest area in the game.)

I'd have it by now, but I kinda forgot about MH for about 2 weeks.

Well if you don't have it yet, congrats on your Mutated Venus Mouse Trap when you do finally get it. :)

Well my abysmal Waves 1&2 have been made up for by Wave 3 as I'm slaughtering it. I just started it yesterday morning and I'm already 3 forces down (almost five) with only really 1 more to go. :D I should finish by tomorrow morning I think. Maybe even sooner than that. :D/

In other news, they mentioned this last FBF, but I only just now found it... Mousehunt Wiki has added a timeline of the history of Mousehunt. I thought it was really cool and fun to look at, but maybe it's because I've been playing for forever. ;)) But I'll share it anyways. ;) Linkage.

Wow that's some timeline!

6:10 pm - Catacombs
I crafted 1 S.S. Huntington II and learned the recipe to make: Christened Ship!

:D B-) *Howls in triumph*

So now for some more gold farming... then travel time!

You will make a decent profit while onboard the ship, Wolf. I used Swiss and did just fine (although others reccommend that you use Brie or Gouda).

I finished my first successful tower run overnight! I was a bit worried as last night I was having majour issues nabbing my technic queen (I had like 6 run ins with her before I caught her.) To make up for this wrotten luck, I caught my king on the first time. He dropped something called a Technic Cheese Mould. What does that do? He also dropped a torn technic page, which I'm assuming is used in the crafting of the spellbook base?

Either way, once I fill my amplifier, I'm going to head over to the catacombs and farm the gold necessary to buy the Mystic Pawn Pincher.

Way to go wolf!!! :D

Yeah, I was spoiled by the Catacombs when I arrived on the Ship and didn't think I made a lot of money. ;)) But you will certainly make a profit using swiss. (I'm admittedly one of the people who will recommend brie instead though. ;) Gouda is pointless.)

DiGs, congrats on your first successful ZT run!! :D

To make up for this wrotten luck, I caught my king on the first time.

The King is actually the same difficulty (if not easier) as the Pawns. The Queen is by far the hardest mouse to catch in the area.

He dropped something called a Technic Cheese Mould.

Checkmate Cheese

He also dropped a torn technic page, which I'm assuming is used in the crafting of the spellbook base?

Yep! :)
Also, there's one other item he can drop called the Droid Jetpack which is the piece you need to make the Obvious Ambush Trap. Craft at your own discretion. ;)

I'm about to wrap up Wave 3 (11 Cavalry mice to go!) and then onto Wave 4 and another shot at the Warmonger. I shall edit this post if he drops anything useful. ;))

That trap looks like a waste of time and money, particularly as I did just fine with ZFM. Checkmate cheese is used to catch the chess master, yes? Does he drop the rest of the things required for the spellbook base?

He drops what the mystic king doesn't.

Congrats on the technic king and queen!

Can I use an arcane or physical trap in the SS Huntington II at all? Or should I wait and buy the Hydro when I'm ready and have enough gold? (Regardless of the answer I'll probably stay in the Catacombs for a few days at least)

You could potentially get away with using your Digby Drillbot on the Huntington, but it won't work nearly as well as one of the Hydro traps you buy on board.
On the flip side, it will work semi-decently, and the sooner you get to the Tribal Isles, the sooner you can continue on in the game. So it's entirely up to you. :)

After my 10th Warmonger catch....

6:50 pm - Fiery Warpath
I went on a hunt with [....] where I was successful in my hunt! I caught a 2 lb. 7 oz. Warmonger Mouse worth 198,000 points and 27,000 gold.

The mouse also dropped the following loot:
100 Flameshards, 1 Sandblasted Metal, 3 Warpath Commander's Charms, 1 Ultimate Luck Charm, 3 Ultimate Power Charms and 19 Lucky Power Charms

I promised my husband that the next Sandblasted Metal would be his since he already had 1 Sandblasted Metal, so I sent it his way. The next Sandblasted metal is yours, Kat. ;)
In the meantime, I've headed to the Muridae Market where my goal is to get 5 Papyrus before my next Warpath run. :)
